A comfortable stay almost central to Cirencester centre.

Very comfortable bed in what was a very quiet room - no disturbance from other guests or road noise.. The staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. The location of the Talbot Inn is perfect due to its short walk to all amenities within the town centre.

Wished I’d had longer in the morning to enjoy the buffet.

Breakfast was very good but I had to take it with me due to an unexpected change of plans. The morning staff were friendly & helpful & the “doggy bag” was much appreciated.

My toilet seat was not clean & the shower doors wouldn’t close properly. I had to check in at 10.30pm because of my flight, the person on duty was a bit grumpy though he did help with my bag.

Disappointing value for money. I hope for a refund as compensation.

The room was warm and convenient

Everything. Hotel was closed , no one to greet us. It was deserted . No breakfast available, no room cleaning. It was the worst experience of a hotel ever. A woman appeared from somewhere to give us our key, looking surprised to see us, then no one and nothing . It was almost creepy as it was so deserted.

Great location, ok room given cost but overall a little disappointing

Location is great with the Town Centre about a 5 min walk. Parking was free and very convenient. Good to have a separate entrance to the room i.e. not via the pub. The Wi-Fi was good. Cirencester a great place to visit.

Main dissapointment was the pub itself I was looking forward to the advertised cask conditioned real ale. However, when the pub was open (it opened late and closed early with hardly any customers) only bottled ale was available. No food was available. Apparently the owners were away which may be the reason. We stayed in the 'delux room'. I'd have to say It was quite expensive given the size and facilities, so ok but not great VFM. Some of the advertised facilities, e.g. a desk, did not exist.

We would not return

We were in apartment no 2. Sadly the Wi-Fi did not extend there. The particulars refer to an additional toilet; there was not one. The terrace and patio referred to were not there. A seating area is referred to but there were no comfortable chairs. The only natural light was through a window measuring 38in by 18in; beyond the window was considerable vegetation and a stairway leading to the property above so electric light was always needed.. The bed spread needs laundering.

Putting aside the beer & staircase issue - the couple who run the premises are delightful

Comfortable room & bed - very good breakfast - very friendly staff

Pity there was no beer on draught - bottled only The outside wooden staircase to our room (#5) is in dire need of some maintenance. Exceptionally steep with some of the treads not in a condition to fill you with confidence.

Nicely decorated room, great location, owners friendly and well-meaning. Would like to stay there again, but would check the details before owner leaves.

Let down by some details - 3 travellers but only 2 cups and 2 sets of towels. Internet wasn't working and it wasn't clear how or who to speak to to resolve, because pub had limited opening hours and no info in room.

Friendly hosts with great food and close to all amenities.

Our hosts were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome, they catered for our every need. It was in a great location very close to the town with plenty of parking. The home cooked food was amazing and we will definitely be going back.

Pleasant stay

We were attended a wedding near by, so found the accommodation very handy.

Nice to have our own front door and not needing to disturb anyone coming back late at night.

Would reccomend you stay at the Talbot

Loved the room with it's own front door direct outside, with our car parked infront of it. Owners could not have been any nicer, looked after us really well, Lovley breakfast and we enjoyed our evening meal, perfect location less than 5 minutes walk to the main street.

There was nothing we didn't like, nothing at all to complain about the room parking how we were looked after., room lovely and warm, shower and tap water hot.

Great location and loved the idea of having a door straight to the outside ! If you get three early give the owners a ring and they will probably let you in early! Very accommodating

Very pleasant indeed

Excellent home cooked meals with generous portions. Excellent individual fruit salads available at breakfast - nicely prepared assorted ripe fruits. Location perfect for town. Owners very pleasant and welcoming and most accommodating. Loved staying in the cottage with a seat outside

Wished the bathroom could have been a bit larger but not possible with cottage style facility.

Excellent - no complaints at all -loved the location

Felt extremely comfortable at this location. Room good size, bedding and bed luxurious especially the pillows .Powerful shower and lovely bathroom. Within walking distance to centre of Cirencester

Friendly welcome, nice room, character pub, excellent breakfast and fabulous location. 😊

Owner was very welcoming and offered to keep the bar open for us at the end of our evening out. As it is very quiet in general in the town, they would have normally closed earlier. Owner also offered to refrigerate our picnic! Thank you both 😊

I can’t think of anything. I did think it was a little noisy from the road and then realised the window had been opened to air the room and I had pulled the curtains without noticing !
