Quirky and interesting house. Donna is an excellent and attentive host, large comfortable room, very handy for the wedding we attended. Enjoyed our stay very much.

This place is more like a boutique hotel than an BandB and the owner Donna is just a peach. Bed was super comfy, was a shame to have to get up - We loved our stay, thanks for having us!
Can get a wee bit noisy on Saturday night as it’s on the high street - this isn’t the properties fault just need to understand if you’re going to stay central Harwick, on a Saturday night there’s going to be a wee bit of noise when the club closes.

Donna is amazing!!! Frequent correspondence leading up to check in, very accommodating. Room was private & quaint. Breakfast is order by text & book time slot. Fabulous breakfast room with free jukebox with Donna's outgoing personality & top notch breakfast. Great start to the day. If I was ever in Hawick again would definitely book!

Lovely spacious room with comfortable 4 poster bed and a large ensuite. Right in the centre of town.
Great breakfast which could be pre ordered. The porridge was very filling and set us up for the day.
Donna was attentive to our needs, offering umbrellas if needed.

The breakfast was good, plenty of tea, nice bread for toast. We had eaten very well in the evenings, thanks to Donna recommending Adam's Kitchen, and booking for us, so did not have much in the way of a cooked breakfast, but that looked very substantial. Donna was very friendly. The room and bed were comfortable. Very interesting Victorian building, former Bank, very central situation.
The door of the ensuite shower room did not have any means to ensure it stayed closed, even a latch, never mind a lock. I did not like the door continually opening when I was using the toilet. Also, there was no water hot enough to have a shower, even though I ran it for a long time as instructed. I would also have liked to have had a suitable table and chair to use a laptop at in the bedroom. It was awkward to sit on the bed and try to use the laptop and mouse. Donna did say I should have found her and asked for one, but the room was large enough for a table and chair to have been provided anyway. It should be made clear at the time of booking that this is a property on many floors - everything is upstairs, several floors. Not great for older people who have problems with normal romping up and down stairs! We had had great difficulty in finding the Guest House which is not readily visible from the street. The email with instructions came after we had left home, so I didn't pick it up before we arrived in Hawick, so didn't have the benefit of the instructions which were apparently clear. Probably our fault, but we had travelled a long way and didn't enjoy our initial search for the property.
