The staff is amazing and super helpful, always with a smile in their face! The way until the beach is incredible inside in the nature. I really enjoyed my time there. Pura vida!

Location is very good 5 minute walk over a nice wooden bridge thru the manglar
No shade on the beach. It’s a surfers beach so sometimes it gets full of surfers which makes it hard to swim

Wonderful stay! Clean, spacious rooms, with private deck, sitting area/hammock, and breakfast included every morning! Josue and the rest of the staff were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating! As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe, secure and cared for. The location was perfect, a peaceful walk, crosses a bridge through the mangroves to a gorgeous beach. It was one of the loveliest vacation stays I have ever experienced. Highly recommend! Tyy I’ll definitely be recommending this gem of a place to my friends and fam. Until next time!! Xoxo Giselle

Excellent location for beach access, always helpful staff and tastefully designed bungalows. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Town itself very quiet but a few great restaurants and a food court as well.

The breakfast was good, they have different options, the place is a wonderful location with trees and each room is private, the staff was kind and servicial.
There was a delay with the room during the check in because it seems that there was a weird smell and they tried to hide with disinfectant.

size of rooms and confortable bed
no air conditioning in room, windows and doors were not accurate to their frames living openings for bugs

Walking on boardwalk to the beach through the mangroves was a wonderful connection to nature with two kinds of herons roosting and fishing. The sweet cabinas sits amongst beautiful trees and next to deep forest with howler monkeys and many birds, again close to nature.
Not to quibble, there could have been a couple of cups.

The location is very beautiful, they have directly access to the beach and it’s a truly amazing experience walking from Cabinas Las Olas to the ocean! Everyone needs to see it. Absolutely love the location.
The room was pretty bare and dark. By the way the biggest problem in relation to the room was that it was raining into the room during the storm, our pillows were wet and the next morning all the floor of the room was wet too. This is just unacceptable. In addition when we asked to the owner if they could do something to solve the problem, he answered us, in a rude way, that they could move us to another room but the problem of the rain should probably be the same, it was raining in every room and they justified it that they don’t have a lot of rain in Guanacaste! Actually it rains almost every day during the rainy season. The value for money has been pretty good for the location and, at the same time, pretty bad for the room. Lastly the food is fair, nothing special at all.

Great breakfast, best location. Private path to the beach with great waves just in front.

We loved the location and the quaint, clean and spacious rooms. The rooms are basic but have A/C and a mini fridge. The grounds and rooms are well kept. The breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
My boyfriend and I booked a room with a king size bed but the bed was 2 smaller beds pushed together. So there was a crevice down the middle of the bed.

Great location, wonderful staff, reasonable price and exceptional service.

The location is what is good here (considering lack of infrastructure in Avellanas) and what allowed owners to bump the price to 120 $ a night, or more
No light in the ceiling, just side lights. No glasses for drinking water in the room. Even the chair number was one less than persons. Rooms just with fan aren't worth considering, since rotation speed is miserable. We moved to AC room because of that, and while AC was doing the job, we missed some of the usual functions like decreasing the fan speed, or auto turn off upon reaching the temperature. Also if you plan to rent a surf board here, don't put all your hopes in this place, as there aren't many board choices at all. The first room had hot water, while the other one didn't, although that was bearable considering the temperature of the water in the pipes. Lastly, although this might not be the fault of the owners, prepare for iguanas camping on the roof of your bungalow and hearing noises throughout the night, and many more mosquitos than in other places.

Its quietness, privacy, charming atmosphere, the nice treatment we received from the staff. The food, the restaurant, the beautiful bedroom and bathroom.
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
