Beautiful comfortable apartment but water heat problem needs to be resolved...

Our welcome by Guillaume was greatly appreciated as he helped us find the apartment & take our cases up the 2 flights of fairly steep stairs (note that the 2nd flight has no bannister which might be problematic for some guests). The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable with the bedrooms peacefully well away from the street. Each room was carefully and artistically decorated each with its own style. The bathroom was also well appointed and modern though the design of the shower (apparently with no/little slope towards the drain) led to significant flooding of the bathroom floor if the shower curtain wasn't exactly positioned (might be worth mentioning this in the introductory tour). The tumble dryer in the bathroom did however come in very handy to dry the floor mat and towels used to mop up the flooding!

There seemed to be a few essentials missing from an otherwise well equipped kitchen - tea towels, oven gloves, a bread knife etc. would all be very helpful additions (as would the dishwasher tables that were promised when we arrived). Our biggest problem however was with the hot water of which there was NONE in either the bathroom or kitchen when we arrived (the explanation was that water heats slowly & we just needed to be patient). Of our party of 5, only one person was able to take a brief shower that evening (after being patient for 3hrs). When there was barely enough warmish water the next morning for 3 more showers (we then had to boil water in the kitchen to be able to wash), we flagged the problem again to the landlord & eventually had a neighbor help us change the water programming to a "boost" position that evening. The program setting however didn't stick so we ended up again with no hot water the following evening. Perhaps this was a temporary problem, but it would seem that an apartment designed for 6 people should be equipped with a water heater to accommodate the same number of people at whatever time of day they might need hot water....
