It was wonderfully wife and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the aside again if travelling to Aix.

The location was perfect for us, a ten minute drive to the park and ride, which meant we didn't need to drive into Aix. The breakfast was excellent and our hosts were welcoming and did as much as possible to make our stay enjoyable.

There was nothing that was really wrong with the Bastide itself although it was a little remote but we knew that when we booked. There are no bars, shops or restaurants within walking distance.

Good stay but could have been better

The property was at an amazing location deep in the countryside which I appreciated and away from the town centre. We also visited many vineyards in the area. The pool was amazing including the staff that was welcoming and hospitable.

I don’t know how the other rooms were so can’t compare but felt our room with kitchen was just not the best compared to the money we paid for it. We expected better than IKEA and Amazon basics towels. Nothing against it but felt the room should have been priced much lower for the value it offered. Room had cobwebs, certain smell in the bathroom but overall functional. Lastly the bed was a bit stiff for our liking..

Perfect hotel to relax and being in the nature.

Our stay was just perfect. The room, garden and both pools had been very clean and beautiful. Very nice breakfast. The manager (Christoph) was very friendly and helpful with advice for restaurants, beaches and cities in south France. It is definitely a place to return and to recommend. Only 5 minutes to drive to Chateau La Coste.

A great place for families close to Aix-en-Provence if you have a car

The room was great, the hotel is beautiful, the host was very kind. It has its own parking. The pools were great even though we didn't use them much because of the weather.

There could have been a bit more options for the breakfast for that price particularly considering that there are no easy options to buy groceries nearby.

Nice property to enjoy the countryside not too far from Aix en Provence

Lovely countryside feeling with large swimming pool to lounge and read a book by. It was nice to enjoy a coffee in the morning in the garden.

breakfast wasn't included and was 18 euros for a complete buffet breakfast so if you just wanted a small breakfast of coffee and croissant there wasn't a simpler option. Although coffee alone was available at no cost.

Country house set in lovely gardens with peace and quiet. I would recommend one of the apartments

The apartment gave me the flexibility to bring my own wine and food. There’s a great deli and bakery five minutes drive away. The birdsong around the pool was lovely and peaceful.

A great place to stay.

The location is situated in a beautiful building. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast served at the hotel was quite extensive. However, on the second day of our stay, we noticed that some of the hard rolls served seemed to be a day old and not fresh. This was a bit of a disappointment. Additionally, the breakfast was served a bit later than we would have liked, making it challenging to leave on time. Despite some minor issues with the breakfast, this locating is a great place to stay.

Disappointed

We didn’t receive the room we booked so we stayed for one night instead of two. It’s been 2 months since we stayed there and we still didn’t received the total refund. we only received part of it, without the gap of the rooms difference and they charged me(!!) for their bank commissions(!!). I wrote the. hotel 3 times and received no response. very disappointed with the customer service of this hotel as well as with booking.com for not dealing with this.

Overall a superb stay in beautiful surroundings and with super attentive staff always on hand.

Breakfast was extremely good and thew food available to have your own dinner in your room or in the restaurant was exceptional. There were also wines and beers and soft drinks available to take and pay later on departure. Easy access to Aix en Provence and St Remy de Provence.

Nothing was poor or below expected standards.

La Bastide de Ganay was the perfect place for us to experience our first time in Provence.

I did so much online research to find the perfect stay for our first time in the Provence countryside and was so lucky to come across La Bastide de Ganay. The property is a magical gem just 15 minutes north of Aix-en-Provence and the rooms and grounds could not have been any more perfect for us! What was once a 400 year old country manor house is now a luxury bed & breakfast surrounded by old oak trees, and lush greenery. We especially enjoyed the morning breakfast of yogurt, fresh fruit, croissants (regular and chocolate of course!), and the delicious Nespresso! After a day of walking the markets of Aix, we retreated to the pool for relaxation thinking how lucky we were to experience Provence like this.

Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

we loved the remoteness and country house feel. two swimming pools! great staff and the visitors were quite friendly also

difficult to get to Aix w/o personal transportation. taxi ride one way is 50€
