Lovely house with beautiful views, excellent location only 10 mins from Carlingford. Host Mark couldn’t have been nicer and so helpful with directions and recommendations! We really enjoyed our short stay and look forward to coming back!

The room for 3 adults was comfortable. The location was perfect for our itinerary and Mark the host was very kind in making sure the restaurant received our dinner reservations as it would have been difficult to get dinner in the area. Thank you for the breakfast, including the warm porridge the next morning. Not to mention, the many sight seeing tips before we left.
Nothing.

The place was very clean and Mark is just a gentle and lovely man to meet. Nice breakfast and friendly environment. The house temperature was very good and nicely set.

Excelente to rest and see the countryside.

Very comfortable B and B, spotlessly clean and Mark was a really lovely host!

We had a lovely stay at safe haven. Mark is the perfect host he is so helpful and informative about the area. The house is situated under the Cooley mountains with spectacular views around the countryside and is very quiet at night for a good night sleep in very comfy beds. Our little yorkie was made very welcome.

lovely spacious room and ensuite bathroom. Really comfortable bed.
Finding it was a bit tough on sat nav. It's in a group of houses with no really visible sign and google maps sent me to the wrong house initially which wasn't fun at all.

Mark is a spectacular host. He is so accommodating and helpful and just fun to chat to about the local scene.
Breakfast is second to none and you can choose a full Irish breakfast with your favorite ingredients or something lighter if you prefer.
It’s a peaceful spot with beautiful scenic backdrops. House is perfect. Our room was huge and comfy.

Mark is a super host, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable beds, beautiful location, only a mile from one of the trails for Slieve Foye. Jacuzzi bath was an added bonus after a day of hiking

Top quality service from Mark all the way through. Fantastic place and even better hosting.
4.7
The house was superb with fantastic facilities. The host Mark was as helpful and friendly as possible and gave us great advice on the locality and even drove us to collect our car from the previous nights outing to Fitzpatricks bar and restaurant. It was fantastic value for money and he could easily charge a bit more and still give excellent value for money. A perfect host and a lovely house
You would need a car as nowhere 8lis realistically within walking distance due to country roads and a main road

Mark was the perfect host.
His breakfasts were fab with an extensive array of fruit, cereal, yogurt and then a cooked breakfast which was delicious.
The bed was extremely comfortable and our room had a great view of the water.
Mark was able to provide some great advice on where to go/what to see which was very helpful.
We'll 100% be back - Mark - thanks so much for a wonderful stay in your gorgeous home.
Nothing - it was perfect.

This is an excellent place to stay in Carlingford. It's just minutes from the downtown, castle, and restaurants along the main road, but in a more idyllic atmosphere with animals grazing and a large, modern home to sleep in. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast Mark made for us was abundant, delicious, and customized for our family. He also upgraded us to a room with a larger bathroom and jacuzzi tub, which was both kind and well enjoyed.

Mark is a lovely guy. Give us some tips on nice food/bars etc. Would definitely go and stay again.

The house was beautiful and the room was lovely. The location was perfect for us. Mark was a fantastic host, giving us detailed directions and numbers for local taxis and was very generous to us while we were there. Breakfast was delicious and we couldn't recommend staying here enough.
Can't think of anything.

Fabulous house. lovely double room en-suite. dog friendly. Mark was so welcoming. Really enjoyed our short stay.

If you like a room with a view and do not like the sound of motor vehicles, this is the place for you. Well up on the heights above Carlingford it has a beautiful location and there is no passing traffic. Go down to the bottom of the hill (about a mile) and you are at the doors of the Carlingford Brewery, which is excellent if you like craft beers and pizzas. Our host was very friendly and laid back, providing a really excellent breakfast. Strongly recommended.
It's a large, fairly new property with big rooms and wood floors. Not much in the way of carpet and therefore sound insulation if anyone lets a door slam or raises their voices, but during the night, total silence.
4.7
Nice place to stay, very good breakfast, very friendly owner, highly recommended
