Hot tub was amazing, regenerates muscles after long walks in no time!
Had to replace remote batteries but luckily I had some spare with me.

Beautiful peaceful place. Lodges are well equipped and comfortable. Has everything you need for a luxury few days break. Hot tub was a great addition. We had a lodge with a lake view and it was lovely to see that outside our lounge window. A few niggling issues we had were dealt with once reported. We would be happy to return here.
The rules of the lodges were sent at least 4 times in different ways to us before we arrived, by text, email, over the phone! It was a bit off putting and not a good welcoming feeling. I also think that its not acceptable to ask us to strip all our bedding before we leave, im sure that's housekeeping's tasks!

Very clean, homely, hot tub was great! Close by to so many lovely historical sights and towns. Would come back again!
The fireplace remote was broken so we couldn’t use that.
It wasn’t planned so not the fault of the staff but due to an electricity power cut we had to switch off all appliances so couldn’t use that in the morning of leaving.

Comfortable lodges. Clean and well equipped.
No negatives

Spacious, clean and comfortable.
Nothing.

The perfect lodge in a perfect location, so clean and so quite, fabulous hot tub too!
maybe a washer dryer if the washer needs to be replaced as hard to get cloths dry after a long day working out in the rain!
4.3
Well laid out and beautifully clean. There was everything we needed in our lodge
The property was great and I could not fault it.
4.3
Very nice, very friendly at welcoming
Not a lot nearby

Lovely location & grounds. Hot tub was super and the property was generally comfortable and nicely decorated.
The bed was very hard and so we didn’t sleep very well. Perhaps having a medium firmness would suit the majority of people better. Or a mattress topper could be offered/provided.

Property had everything and more you could want for weekend break. High end furnishings and appliances. Hot tub excellent and well maintained. Beautiful location pub short walk short drive to lovely villages
Nothing

The lodge had everything you could need and was furnished to a very high standard. The staff at reception were also very friendly and helpful, and keen to ensure we were comfortable.
Hot water ran out a bit too quickly - our showers were not excessively long.

Nothing it was perfect.

Location , hot tub
No welcome pack apart from basic washing up and a few hot drink sachets, only one beds get Prosecco , it doesn’t say that in advert, how discriminatory is that! We were celebrating my mums 99th birthday.
The tables were unwiped and sticky with food and wine. There were long black hairs in the bed. The hairdryer went up in flames. The toiletries were measly. We paid over £800 for 48 hours and had to pay extra for early and late check in which are both later and earlier than any other self catering I’ve stayed in. I had 2 disabled guests and trying to get out by 9:30 would have been extremely difficult .
However the staff were very welcoming and helpful and responsive to our needs . Thank you

Lodge was nice and warm even with no heating on
No dislikes

Had everything we needed, location was good, site was calm. The hot tub was good once it was changed to a suitable temperature and we worked out how the jets worked (instructions didn’t cover this point so it would have been easy to assume it was simply a very low powered hot tub).
It had not been cleaned sufficiently. I had to clean nearly everything save the cutlery in the kitchen before it could be used, including the washing up bowl that was covered in oil (pooled in the bottom!). The tea pot and cafetière were dirty, as were some saucepans.
The washing up bowl had been stowed on top of the (very high) fridge freezer which would be ok if everyone staying were 6 foot tall or more (i’m 5’3”). The cupboard with the oven dishes posed a similar issue…
The bathroom ceiling had paint damage above the shower (blistering) which was unsightly.
There were quite a lot of cobwebs in each room.
Final point was that the outside lights, which we assume are on sensors, kept being triggered at night. The blackout curtain liners didn’t go down to the floor (stopping around 12-18” short) which meant this woke us up each night at least once.

EXCELLENT VENUE BY THE LAKE WARM AND V QUITE

Lovely ducks and the hot tub
4.3
The space and the size
How hot it was inside the lodge as we didn’t know how to control the heating as every time we changed it it jumped back up to 30 degrees and no matter what we done it wouldn’t decrease the temperature
4.3
Everything, the peace and quiet, cleanliness of the lodge and the surroundings. The hot tub was amazing!
Can't think of anything, perfect!
4.3
We loved the location of the property, it is close to several attractions and beautiful little villages. the lodge is well equipped and comfortable and the hot tub was great.
There’s honestly little to fault, but would have preferred it if the hot tub area was a little more private. Check out is also very early and quite expensive to extend.
4.3
cabin has everything you could need and is superb. we love staying here.
bed could do with a new mattress
4.3
It was modern and very well presented. The overall cleanliness was generally good.
Peaceful location.
It was quite pricey so I would expect it to be immaculately clean…it wasn’t. The cooker smelt of cooked bacon. Perhaps the extractor filter needs cleaning. The grill was not as clean as it could have been with residue sticking to the wires and the control panel for the extractor fan was sticky with grease stains. I cleaned it! The hob needs a proper clean with a hob cleaning fluid. Finally, the windows are dirty. (Check the over the bed window and the patio doors look smeared in sunlight). There is a tendency for there to be a fusty smell in the bathroom. I would recommend including a shower screen blade to help keep the area drier.
