Petit-déjeuner sympa et tranquille
La chambre est un peu petite... mais c'est difficile à améliorer !

beautiful old building & courtyard
4.5
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Rooms though small are pretty cosy. The building is close to a metro station and a lovely park. Corner shops and cafes are also nearby.
No elevator, so if you are with lots or one heavy piece of luggage, you'll have to push through quite a narrow staircase.

No lift

Loved the breakfast and the patio Loved the cleanliness of the room and the accommodating nature of the staff. The neighborhood had amazing accessibility to all of the absolute best places in Lyon. It's located in a fantastic neighborhood as well- residential with major commercial access a few streets away.
The room was small, but I honestly didn't mind. It got the job done.

Very nice and helpful staff. The internal patio is quite nice to sit and relax in peace.
Cleanliness could be improved (one of the pillow cases had stains) and the room could use some renovation too as wall and shower had black stains in some part.

Location was very good - central and well connected. Room was clean and had everything I needed.
The walls of the room were really thin so I could hear the person in the next room talking and playing his music loudly

I really recommend this hotel.

Good quality and simple continental breakfast
Some attention to detail with the fit out of the rooms could be improved. Eh there were no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom

a little run down, but nice personnel

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and spoke good English. My room was very quiet and mostly clean. Check-in and check-out were fairly seamless. Nice looking hotel, and excellent value for the price. Dining area is lovely, although perhaps more space could be used for the common area.
Getting access to the kitchen to use the microwave was an awkward experience (I don't see why it should be a challenge for guests to have access to a kettle, microwave, or dishes, since these are not present in the rooms). No elevator for higher floors, and the stairs are a bit sketchy with luggage. With my window open, sometimes cigarette smoke would waft in. Only one pillow in the room, and the room was a bit cramped.

The staff is excellent and very friendly. The room was clean and the hot water in the bathroom was perfect. The location is very good and accessible.
The rooms were a bit small.

Staff were prompt with any communication I had with them before I arrived (helpful hints on how to get there by train) and super friendly with me and my poor French. There is no lift but I was given assistance with my bag to the 2nd floor which was above and beyond that staff member (I didn’t catch his name by Merci beaucoup).
My room was a cute room with en-suite. It was very clean and comfy and I would happily return. The hotel is very close to Foch metro station and I found it easy to walk to Old Lyon along with other attractions. It also had air-conditioning which was handy on the days I was hot from walking in the sun.
Honestly I didn’t have any real faults. If I had to be picky I’d suggest they wash their shower curtain as the bottom bit was looking brown and washing it would extend its life so it doesn’t start cracking from all the soap residue but it was still clean. The rooms looked like they were renovated in the last few years. Also perhaps more power points. The second one was covered by the little desk (maybe slight room reconfiguration might help. We need power points near our bedside tables. But at this point this is really just picky and minor. The important thing is it’s very clean and comfy.
My other comment is one I have given all hotels (and really for ALL hotels): recycle bins to sort waste. Im green minded and would like to ensure my glass bottles, cans etc aren’t going to landfill but can be recycled. Hospitals and universities in Australia have green teams made up of staff, it would be good to see the travel industry have this, especially for hotels.

Easy check-in and friendly staff. Great location.
The family suite was very small and the beds were okay. They did call us to let us know that the family suite was small but until you're actually there, it's tough to know how small it is.

Cute and charming hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff, very centrally located and very fairly priced.
When you have heavy suitcases you'd love an elevator, but staff is happy to help.

Staff. Good breakfast for price
Too noisy

Very helpful and friendly staff, clean facilities, good localization. There is always someone at the helpdesk. Wi-fi is very good for a free hotel wi-fi. The quality of the products offered for the breakfast was good (small choice though).
You can hear other guests passing by/closing the door/talking in the corridor. If you are a light sleeper consider taking some ear stoppers. Breakfast could be a little bit better in terms of choice, the quality of food was good though. The room and breakfast space were a little bit tight.
