Fantastic location next to the river and near to the town centre. Winningen was extremely picturesque town and offered a number of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were friendly and the waitress at lunchtime was very helpful. A great place to stay that is near to the motorway network and in the heart of the wine country. We would consider a longer stay in the future.
Liked just about everything.

the lobby and rest of hotel facilities are a bit outdated

The rooms was large with a big bed. Nice views over the river and very quiet.

Very large room and bathroom on the ground floor with a little outside patio. Plentiful on site parking in front of the hotel.
Hotel located on the banks of the Mosel River and easy walk into the town.
Room smelled of smoke and although the hotel was nearly empty, we were given a ground floor room without a good view of the Mosel River and next door to the main road. We suspected this might have something to do with the fact that we paid via the booking.com wallet system (applying a credit), and not directly with the hotel.
Further niggles continued. Although we were eventually given a kettle (which we had requested in advance), there was no offer of cups. We ate in the hotel restaurant (the town being almost closed at the end of February). Food was passable and large quantities, but not of a high culinary standard as claimed. Unfortunately, we realised later that we had been over charged for one of our main courses (charged for the most expensive, rather than the least). We did not have breakfast.

Perfect location for a one-night stopover from NL to CH. Arrived late, so great to have such a big, comfortable room to relax in. Breakfast excellent. Plenty of choice, friendly service. It would be perfect in the summer time, right on the River Mosel. The restaurant looked good, but had finished serving by the time we arrived, which was fine because we were tired and were looking forward to a good night's sleep, which we got! Thank you.

Location good; first impressions ok.
Plenty of parking.
Bedroom very spacious.
Hotel very tired. Room smelt biscuity. Shower broken. Hotel staff very brusque. Not particularly welcoming.

We stayed here just one night for travel: Nice room (very big), Nice shower and breakfast was Nice too. It was dark when we arrived so we did not have a view on the Mosel, the rest was perfect.
Tip: in your navigation, use “inselweg” in stead of the pre-filled address of the Hotel (someone uploaded the wrong address I guess).

Beautiful location and most friendliest staff
The wifi was non existent, rooms outdated (but considering this is three star it is not bad)

ok, the location by the river with a terrace and play area were very nice, but if you have an iPhone, it is not the 3 minute walk from the train station that maps says it is! it’s a 15-20 minute walk a bit out of town! would have been nice to know when traveling with a 3 year old…the lady at the desk was lovely, super helpful, accommodating. the room was huge and clean with a nice private balcony.
They had limited menus for guests due to a wedding, the beds were hard, the WiFi (code in the book in the room) did not work, and the worst part: we got back from dinner in town at 22.15 and the whole hotel was shut down! no reception, nowhere to buy a drink (even water) and there was no fridge in the room so after my partner made the 30 minutes round trip back into town for drinks the wine was almost too warm to drink. we wanted to watch a movie but there was no one to ask about the wifi…so our 9 year anniversary was a bit 😞 we did find a vending machine but it was long since out of order (had cobwebs over the drink dispenser.

Lovely Location on the banks of the Mosel. Lots of free parking. Pleasant terrace and beer garden. Great to watch the world go by on a hot day, especially the boats and jet skiers on the Mosel.
Room large and clean with a little private patio too.
Restaurant very good, including a very well stocked breakfast buffet. Helpful staff.
Nothing really

Nice hotel close on the Moselle River and the cycling route, but also close to the main road, not noisy but easily accessible.
We were upgraded to a suite, which was huge with a balcony in the sun all afternoon.
Lovely terrace and very friendly staff.
The room did not have a fridge or a kettle, although we were given one on request.
No toiletries except for hair/body soap.

Free parking, spacious room.
There was a lot of noise coming from the adjacent elevator and hallway outside.
No complete (!) curtains. Had to sleep with half open windows. As this was a stopover, I wanted to sleep well until later on, but a flood of light did not help

Location close to the highway. We were just looking for a place to stay the night with some hours for sightseeing to spend.
The boss was a bit naggy, but so were the staff at the restaurants we tried to enter in the village. In the end we found one, but travellers have to be aware that they close early also during the weekend!
Internet in the hotel was very slow, ´room with a view on the river´ was relative.

Straightforward Hotel by Mosel. Good for an overnight stay. Big rooms.
Well, the "moselblick" was perhaps not what we expected. The room was on the side of the hotel so we saw more of the road traffic then the mosel traffic...

Superb location, large comfortable room and pleasant restaurant.
Nothing.
