The staff were very friendly and helpful and really made our stay very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable.
The room was very hot despite the window being wide open all night (and it wasn't a warm day, probably around 18 degrees outside). We turned the radiator off but there was a water pipe that remained hot.

breakfast cold room not cleaned during our visit
everything
3.6
Nothing
Room service not available Only two staff on duty One on reception and one behind the bar

Absolutely nothing
Everything!! Hotel is in dire need of repair. Widows were leaking to the extent that it was raining inside. Reported it to the management who gave us towels to dry it up with!!! The rooms smelt of urine and BO and were very musky.
Breakfast was ok. They were slow in bringing out replacement food to the extent that as soon as it was brought out it was taken by the queue that had formed.
I asked for a drink from the bar to be told that I couldn’t have it as the receptionist was the only person working and she wasn’t allowed to leave her desk. Yet there were 4 women in the restaurant stood around chatting!!

From the outside it didn’t look very appealing, but when you go inside is totally different very clean and the stuffs wear friendly.
No cooked breakfast.
3.6
Lovely clean place and staff very helpful and friendly

I liked most things. The evening food was great, the breakfasts not so much. The guy in the bar in the evenings was wonderful. Funny, informative, engaging. An asset to the hotel.
Obviously the hotel's seen better days and could do with a refurb.
3.6
Was close to the location of the event we travelled to port Talbot for
The pool was not open which was not advised prior to our visit. The building was run down and the Interior was tired and dated
3.6
Property is next to beach snd esplanade which is very nice.
The property is very dated and in need of modernisation.
3.6
Staff were very friendly and food was very good
Poor shower, unsafe roof tiles and leaky window in the room. hotel was very outdated and also the leisure facilities were out of order but wasn't told prior to arrival I did plan on using these and was also part of the reason for booking.
3.6
we were welcomed on arrival.
the areas with AC WERE lovely & cool. Albeit the days we stayed were exceptionally hot.
3.6
the property was very tired and was housing asylum seekers which we were not told about on booking.
there was actually nothing nice about the hotel. it was dirty and very basic
the fact it housed asylum seekers, it was dirty, run down, the food choice was poor, the facilities were basic and I felt like I was in a youth hostel

I didn’t check in. lady on reception was superb. advertised with pool, jacuzzi and spa. This hasn’t been the case since covid. poor receptionist was fantastic and even had to run to the bar and serve. this sun sit up. fair play to the hotel they accommodate homeless families as one lady shouted ‘I’ve got a house’ whole sat in the bar area. hope that all works out for her I really do. but all I wanted after a long day on the road was a swim, sauna and jacuzzi and then sit on the sun terrace and relax. This is impossible at this hotel. They at least refunded my money and I thanked them for that but I was jot going to stay the night here.
the appearance and the fact the facilities aren’t as described
3.6
right near the beach
the hotel is in need of renovation inside and out.

Friendly staff. Lovely location. Good dinner. Very dog friendly.
No air con. Room was very stuffy.
3.6
It was on the water front.
Very noise, could hear the lift and every door slam, The room was to hot to sleep(no air conditioning), even with the window wide open, tv remote didn't work, very worn and out dated look to the room, double bed very small. Not worth £89per night more like £35-40.
3.6
Comfortable, clean.
Noisy until late. The hotel is a venue for parties, weddings and other events so expect loud music.
3.6
Sadly the lovely room with a view of the beach did not deliver any hot water either in the evening or the morning!
Hot water would have been wonderful! After the long drive I was so looking forward to a hot bath.
3.6
Lovely room with a sea view breakfast was very good too
Swimming pool not available would have liked to know about being able to swim in the leisure centre instead before we came as I would have brought my swimwear with me
3.6
room was too hot, no way to cool it down, when opened the window would let all the noise in, couldn’t sleep
3.6
Receptionist very friendly and welcoming.Very dated.Brreakfast awful.Room not cleaned or beds made daily

Best Western housekeeping and room cleanliness is always very good.
however, they are sadly always making the best of polishing a t*rd!
but they do the best with what they have.
building looked like it was about to be condemned, exterior shocking, entrance filthy with cigarette butts everywhere. overflowing bin, grass unkempt, not a great first impression.
I paid for breakfast, but wasn’t informed at check in of the breakfast timings and I forgot to ask, there was no information in the room either… so I assumed breakfast before 10am and went down just after 9:30am to find it all finished!
I paid £76 for B&B, and I didn’t get breakfast, the local Prem Inn was £52! and IBIS even less!
3.6
Decent location and next to the beach which was fun for the kids to walk to the beach and come shower easily.
The entrance of the hotel smell of cirgratte and so arwnthe lift and the hallway. You can see works and guest smoke just a the entrance of the hotel. For kids these isn't good and to be honest my kids and I struggle each time when we come out from the hotel to go get some fresh air to the beach. Also alot of noise and couple kissing with open window which isn't nice for the kids especially younger ones.
I know you can't control the guest but you can control the policy of the hotel especially when family are been accepted.
Also the receptionist was some how funny especially saying she was expecting 4 adult and a child which was thw case. I showed her the detail but she keeps on insisting. Things welcoming for rubbish as well.
The hotel will do with some makeup especially inside as the carpet are really old.
Overall I would like to stay again in this hotel with my family as it isn't family friendly. Everywhere stink of cigarette.
A smoking zone should be create.
3.6
I've stayed there a few times & the room I had this time was the best. A sea facing room with a great bed & pillows
.....they need more staff at times.
3.6
Location wise the hotel is great. You have a view towards the beach.
The room seemed clean but the dated look of the carpets made it feel otherwise.
The bed was comfortable
Good breakfast
The leisure centre was closed and overall the facilities feel quite outdated.
Poor insulation makes you hear every single noise in the opposite rooms like faucets leaking.
Carpets and dated furniture make the rooms feel more outdated and less clean than they are.
Only 2 waitresses working the breakfast led to a shortage of coffee and elements of the english breakfast.
3.6
Room was a fair size, bathroom was good,
Some decor needed updating,, our room was not serviced, when mentioned at reception was told rooms are only serviced on request I've never come across this before. Breakfast was fair but was only warm
3.6
excellent position
very dated. shabby in places. need updating. short staffed particularly at breakfast times.
3.6
I like the whole set up, location and parking facilities
I didn’t like the lack of staffing at breakfast, they were working so hard but still having complaints off customers. there was just not enough staff
3.6
Room size
Hot water was an issue.
No staff at reception

I paid for an upgrade and when i got there the room smelt of smoke no head board on one of the beds it was a triple room - my firends stayed in one and all beds had headboards. Went asked for change they said would check room said it was ok. Dropped my stuff went for dinner had some drinks in the bar was paying some music on phone receptionist came told us to turn it down she couldnt concentrate, went to room went to toilet closed the lid and the was excrement all behind the seat, it was midnight so we could not be moved as there was only double rooms left. Breakfast had to wait for orange Juice Bacon Eggs nothing was full had to ask for replenishment only 2 staff on. Once i checked out and complained to the duty manager said nothing she could do until the main manager come in Monday today or maybe Tuesday still heard nothing as yet
THe whole experience was awful except for the Bar man very friendly and welcoming
