Amazing location for scuba diving or snorkeling, clean and large rooms, lovely staff!

We came to Amed, Bali for scuba diving as it is THE location for scuba diving, and this hotel is placed perfectly in the neighborhood where all the diving clubs are located. The room was the most spacious room we had in our overall Indonesia stay, super clean with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. The balcony is great for relaxing and drying towels/swimsuits etc with direct sunlight. The hotel has direct access to Amed beach, with volcanic sand. It is so relaxing with sunbeds accessible to hotel customers, with the amazing view of the Volcano Agung. The beach is clean, the water is safe to swim in and it's right next to the Pyramids snorkeling spot where you can spot beautiful sea turtles! We couldn't get the eat the regular breakfast as we had to leave very early every morning to go scuba diving, but they were nice enough to give us some nasi goreng in the morning so that we didn't leave hungry. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, we couldn't have chosen a better place!

Toplocatie en niet duur !!

Alles was geweldig, we hebben al vele onderkomens gehad afgelopen jaren op Bali, maar dit was de beste. Prachtig huisje, schitterend zwembad, heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, geweldig eten en ga zo maar door. Als je naar Amed gaat, dan is dit een geweldige aanrader!! En goedkoop !!

Helemaal niets, alles was top.

Struttura sulla spiaggia, in un tratto senza barriera dove è facile fare il bagno, staff accogliente e disponibile, camera ampia (tripla che dava sulla piscina) nuova e pulitissima, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

4 days in Amed...

The dream Bali location with a little bungalow right on the beach, swimming right out front in the bluest water and in then going to the impeccably clean pool. Very clean rooms, great air con, good quality snorkeling gear for cheap hire, friendliest and attentive staff, close to all conveniences. It doesn't get any better than this!

This hotel was, without a doubt, one of the best places where we have ever spent our holidays. It was by far the best hotel in Bali. The hotel is undergoing expansion and therefore part of it is under construction, but we do not felt that this was disturbing our holidays in any way. The workers are simple and kind people who will always be in our hearts! From their friendliness, to their availability, they are all wonderful and they constantly had a smile for us. We shared that we were going to do the diving course nearby so they always had a free snack ready for us when we got back from the course. On one of the nights they even made a free dinner for us. In addition to all these positive points, the rooms are very beautiful and with a very characteristic design. But without a doubt, the highlight of this hotel is its location on the beachfront. Just go through a gate and you have your feet in the sand. We had the magical opportunity to see the sunrise and sunset from the beach every day. It was really hard for us to leave this place. Never anywhere in the world (we travel often) made us feel so welcome. When we return to Bali we will return to this hotel in which we were so happy.

Joyful stay

Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room infront of the beach. Complimentary drink, water in the room, kettle with tea and coffee, good AC, fen, hot shower. I really enjoyed the stay. Thanks for the team.

Pleasant

The staff was really nice and helpful - preparing breakfast earlier, so we can eat in before leaving diving.

Overall Amed is not a pleasant place to stay, especially during rain - no sidewalks and big ponds of rainwater make it hard to walk around. The Homestay itself had seen its best days, not very clean and construction site in the middle. The room was spacious, but the sea view was just a small gap between buildings in front.

Great place to stay close to the beach! Very friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice porch to sit & relax and listen to the waves. Shops & Restaurants are less than a 2 minute walk!

Superb

Just back in the Netherlands , after almost spending 2,5 weeks in solaluna home stay in Amed . I did have a good time there, the staff always ready to help . and always with a smile .and the view from the topfloor room was amazing.. The soluluna home stay is very centrale in Amed , and there are plenty of restaurants , en bars in the area , but of course the food and coffee in the homestay is also excellent

Great stay by the beach and the main road!

Felt super at home with this homestay! The staff were extremely friendly and willing to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was brought to your patio every morning and the location next to the beach and main road were unbeatable. I felt really safe with staff always around, even at night. Stayed for a week and was sad

Couldn’t be closer to the beach !

The bungalows we booked were literally sitting on the sand as we enjoyed the fresh welcoming juice. Super friendly staff, clean rooms and close to all the restaurants/shops of Amed. The bungalows are hidden behind a restaurant so someone from the staff was waiting in front of the restaurant for who knows how long for our check-in ! Such a nice and appreciated gesture. The view is absolutely stunning as the sun sets behind the volcano. Also the owner helped us book our boat tickets to Gili when everything looked full on the internet so don’t hesitate to ask him about it 🙂

Direct beach acces. Super attentive and caring staff. Family owned business. Ideal place to relax and wind down. Snorkeling Spot with sea turtles ~ 300 m to the right ( at the end of the incredibly long row of Jukungs lying at the beach). All you need (restaurants, dive shops, ATM , Minimart) is around the corner in Amed , but the place is not crowded. even a pretty good small medical center.

True hospitable of a pleasant stay.

- Easy to find because the signage is written big in the front. - Feels so comfy just right after we arrive at the room - Friendliest staff ever. Special thanks to Mr Madecongkang that always help us with our inquiry towards motor rental, laundry and even help to get us ticket to Gili Trawangan. And also not to forget to mention last but not least, Bli Ari, he helped me by gave me some massage on my sprint ankle from the morning. Surprisingly i could walk better the next morning which I usually would have it for a week. - Breakfast are delicious. - Our room even if it says garden view, but in just few meters you already in the beach. You can also still hear the sounds of the wave and see the ocean from your room. -Food from restaurant are taste good.

- Location of Amed itself that is far away. Nothing much to do nearby. Mostly activity is snorkeling, diving, go fishing with fisherman to catch sunrise. So, if you come to Amed, be sure you are able to drive or ride motorcycle, otherwise it's quite boring. - Please add options for Indonesian menu for breakfast. - We oftentimes hitting the corner side of the bed and it was quite painful (siku2 yang tajem). My suggestion is to give some rubber to at least not making it too painful 😅 - There was a bee that is regularly visiting daybed in terrace, maybe do some little check on that? - Some steps in the small alley are seems blinding, that was the place where i was hurt my ankle.

Excellent stay

It’s a very friendly place right in the beachfront. We really enjoyed the ocean view bungalow and the excellent hospitality. They helped arrange scooter rental and a sunrise fishing trip. Would love to return.

There’s ongoing construction on the site which is a slightly bit oncomvenient - especially for those who would prefer a quiet lie-in.

Solaluna is a gem on the beach

Waking up to the waves and beautiful view was priceless. The accomodation was spotless, bed was comfy, staff were super friendly and a few nice surprises. Coconut pancakes are a breakfast must. It's an unspoilt place, glad I visited

Lovely staff big upstairs room overlooking the ocean

Staff are lovely.We had the room upstairs with a huge balcony overlooking Agung.Very private.You could hear the sounds of the waves.Breakfast very tasty.Warung Segara excelllent food.Chill bar on the beach icy cold beer.

Best Stay in a fisherman's village

Family owned business with the nicest people you could find, arranging everything with a smile : snorkeling sets, scooter rental, last minute laundry, boat.. room super clean, great AC, great location near to fantastic eateries.. and nice snorkeling around it..what more to ask? Too bad we didn't have time for a fishing trip! Amazing stay, great people offering a great memory!

Our stay at solaluna beach homestay was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly and very welcoming. The staff also helped us to rent a Scooter which was nice. The bungalows are very clean, comfortable and pretty. We loved beeing so close by the ocean and even went out fishing with Ari (one of the hosts). We also loved the surroundings of the homestay. In walking distance you find several nice restaurants, bars and the snorkling spots around are also really nice. We miss solaluna homestay already and would love to come back one day!
