Excellent beach, very responsive and helpful staff (except those at reception), everything included nice pools and area.
Food choice is superb - and better than anywhere I've ever seen (and I do travel a lot!)
Enough sunbeds for everyone nicely shaded under palm trees.
A very good local beach lounge 5 minutes walk by the beach from the hotel.
Effective beachline security protects guests from unwanted visitors walking the beach.
There is a nice group of cats near the kitchen who will ask you for food but will also let you pet them.
Mostly disliked dysfunctional shower (we stayed in room 451) - you may read that as "limited to no shower at all". That is not acceptable for such a pricey hotel!
Another dislike goest to very much slow reception staff. Could that be to an extreme hot condition they are working at - there's no air-condition at reception as that is an open area?
The whole area is a habitat for a large monkey family, so be ready for their presence at all times - if you don't like these animals it could be an annoying thing.

Upon arrival, the receptionist let us know that we had a free upgrade to Neptune Paradise Hotel, so instead of Neptune Village we spent 4 nights in Paradise. The lobby was nice and clean, it was designed in a traditional arabic way with great sense of style, the garden was beautiful as well. The bar was great, the cocktails made out of local spirits were good and the local beer, the Tusker was also very good. The grilled seafood and meat were nice and fresh, but preparing them also made the service a little bit slow. Overall we experienced safety and exceptional attention on hygiene and sanitation. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, "Paradise" doesn't describe the resort itself at all. We were quite disappointed after we were taken to our room. First, it really needs a proper renovation. Second, the room was small and dark, the furniture was very old and used and we just couldn't compare it to our first impressions at the lobby, we had a bad feeling that this hotel was definitely overpriced. The room looked like the room of an average 3star hotel. The temperature of water in the shower was not adjustable, it was very hot during the day, and very cold after sunset. The service at the restaurant was very slow, maybe because of the pandemic situation.
