Everything exceed our expectations; the luxury tent was comfortable and looked great inside. Staff was quite accommodating at the property. The food option was good. Our driver for safari was nothing less than amazing- he made the safaris fun and informative and a true life experience.
Other than the view from the tent which not the most glamorous there not much I did not like Mara Intrepids Tented Camp. Only thing I would suggest to future guest is to make time to use the other facilities and services the camp has such as the swimming pool and massages.

From our arrival to our departure, everything at the Mara Intrepids was perfect. This was our first ever safari trip and I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. All of the staff were so attentive and welcoming. Our safari guide, Paul, was terrific, and he ensured that we had a safari experience that we will never forget. The food was delicious. The bed was comfortable. I'm sure there are other great places to stay in the area, but for us a stay at the Mara Intrepids would take some beating. We hope to return soon and will highly recommend Mara Intrepids to our friends and family.
Everything was great.

our stay was fantastic. for all inclusive they served very varied food and at dinner a 4 course a la carte meal. the tent was beautifully appointed with all amenities we need, including conditioner. staff were extremely friendly and tried very hard to accommodate us. the location is excellent, right in the park so you don’t need to drive far to see animals. the game drives included were fab, we only shared with one other couple, so it still felt quite private. we saw a lot of different animals
the wifi didnt quite reach our tent

Beautiful location conveniently located near to the airstrip.

The tents were very nice and the staff was fantastic! Silas our driver was the best, couldn't have asked more from a safari experience!
While the food was good, there could have been a bit more variety from one day to another.

The stay was amazing! we were 4 adults and 1 child. From arrival we were welcomed by 5 staff who directed us to lunch and we were taken care by Sheila ( waitress ) from day 4 to last day! she was kind, fun and accommodated our daughter special meal requests.Bless you Sheila and all staff who took care of us.
Ezekiel our driver who took us for game drives and educated us a lot and organised our visit to Maasai village where we Learnt a lot.Thank you Ezekiel for all the memories.
To housekeeping ladies who made our rooms and also got us hot water bottles before bed and wake up calls with hot drinks.
To reception, bar, pool all staff who took care of us we appreciate a lot and the last day we had a special dinner set up by the pool which was so special!
it’s a lot to write but thanks to all staff we deeply appreciate and we will be back.

excellent staff, above and beyond helpful. Samson is an outstanding game driver-we saw EVERYTHING!!! we’d seen so much that by the end we were looking for very specific things-a kill, a leopard, etc. just exceptional!!
we were lucky to be paired with him. friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating.
Metrine in the restaurant was similarly exceptional-remembered all our tastes and preferences for a large group of 7, and seamlessly delivered care every meal for 4 days without a glitch! Shed remember how we liked our steak, or a preference for no potatoes, all within 1-2 meals-just outstanding!!
she was friendly, very personable, a fantastic host!! as were her helpers Shillah and Pauline.
thank you all, Duncan at the bar, the front desk ?Daniel? for helping us figure out the bill, and payments at the end…everyone was great. thank you for a very enjoyable stay!!

The tents were gorgeous, loved it was on the river (and we had a resident hippo outside). Philip who looked after us in our tent was fantastic, loved the coffee wake up. the food was good, nice variety.
loved having the drives included and 3 a day, we got to see so much. Paul was amazing at showing us all the animals and taking us to new places.
Brilliant we could bring kids (a lot of places don’t allow) , they were loved the drives and Diana was great in kids club making bead bracelets with them between drives.
super close to the runway so really easy for pick up/ drop off.
We felt water should be included with the meals and more readily available.
we went to the village to meet and learn about the Masai way of life, really interesting and so friendly, got to see a dance and inside their home, however there was no price on the board but expected to pay about $25 when we got their to the locals which felt a lot.
Would have loved breakfast or sundowners out on the drive but was extra $50 (obviously happy for the beer extra) but felt a lot when breakfast already included.

Amazing staff, really beautiful natural surroundings (we could see hippos and crocodiles in the river from our tent), and the safaris were fantastic! We saw so much in three days. We loved the sundowner drinks - and the staff made a huge effort all around it was really fabulous. The food at the camp was also great for vegetarians, and we loved all the little touches like coffee in the early mornings ready and hot water bottles to keep your feet warm at night. Thank you for all the great memories!

My wife and I stayed at Mara Intrepids for our Honeymoon Safari and we couldn't be more pleased with the camp! The location is unbeatable, only two minutes from Mara Olkiombo airstrip and we were fortunate enough to see hippos, alligators and other animals in the river outside our tent.
The camp is located in the national park and close to exotic animals. Our game drive guide was Joab who is extremely knowledgeable about the animals and showed us a wide variety from giraffes and zebras to lions and cheetahs. He was happy to stop whenever we wanted to take a photo and really made the drives enjoyable.
The staff at camp were extremely friendly, we would be woken to coffee and cookies, treated to fine dining at the camp and were often checked on to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The tent was incredible, providing a lovely sense of luxury in the Masai Mara. No ask was too big and the staff were super friendly making the camp feel like a home. We can't wait to return one day!
5.0
Location, game drives and food. John (Driver), Kenneth (waiter) and Maurice (doorman) were exceptional. Everything else was subpar/disappointing.
Extremely overpriced!!! We did not have the experience many people seem to have had with this camp in the past. Quality was not good, and it was disappointing for the amount we paid: hotel is old and run down, water pressure in the room is not good and most staff seemed unnatentive (e.g. we got the wrong wake up call 2/3 times, which is not acceptable; we saw staff laying in the pool chairs; the bar was frequently unattended; there was no post safari towels)

The breakfast was delicious and the service from Pauline was exceptional and very welcoming.
We wanted a room facing the river, however the hotel said there was none available. Regardless of that, the room was comfortable and very clean.

The view of Talek river on one side and green Savannas on the other was outstanding. Common areas were well done up. Duncan, Chief, John, Chris, Diana, Kenny, Morris, Cleo and many other Staff were extremely friendly, passionate and always ready to help. What I appreciate most is the fact that the full board tariff ( including 3 Safaris per day) is correctly priced for the experience it offers, unlike few other hotels in Mara who are unreasonably priced. The 3 safaris every day they offered is an exhilarating experience. It was mesmerizing to be in the Mara jungles every sunset. I We sighted almost everything except for Rhinos. Hot aitlr Ballon Safari is a great experience and a must have if budget isn't a consideration. I would say Masai Mara national reserve is amongst the natural wonders of the world.

The property was wonderful. The tents were very comfortable, the food was excellent (truly world class) and the service efficient and courteous. Pauline in the restaurant took very good care of our family.
There are a couple of small areas for improvement: 1) The taps in the sinks in the tents are positioned too close to the edge so water splashes out onto the slab and creates a wet mess!
2) The toilets in the public areas - restaurant and reception need better lighting and maintenance. They are dingy and the one in the restaurant was closed for 3 of our 4 days there.
3) When guests come back in the pouring rain from safaris, having some staff from the hotel and reception there to greet them and help with umbrellas/ a hot drink/ other assistance is expected. Twice we (and other guests) experienced coming back in torrential rain to an empty reception area and having to fend for ourselves. Felt inhospitable and strange.
4) It would be great if all drinks and water could be included in the package. The tariff is high enough to cover that, and it makes for a much nicer experience than having to keep track of every bottle of water drunk!

Great value for money, accommodation was luxurious, staff were always on hand. Game drives were spectacular.

Beautiful location and luxurious tents equipped with everything you need plus more! The staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our start. The food was amazing - 5/6 courses both for lunch and dinner. The price included 3x game drives a day, tailored to your desire.
nothing bad to say.

Wonderful stay in all respects. The staff had a great attitude and made our stay a pleasure. The accomodation was luxurious, and the food was best we had enjoyed in Kenya. The game drives were offered 3 times daily and we were blown away by what we say. We highly recommend.
Rooms excellent, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Game drives superb.

From the time we landed till we left we absolutely loved everything. the staff, people were so hospitable and made sure we had the best time ever. The 4 course set menu for all meals were amazing. Food was delicious and the dessert menu surprised us every day. 5 star service and quality. The room was also amazing with good bed and bath facilities. The property has game drives included which is fantastic and the guides are excellent.
reservation team didn’t inform us on the park fees we had to pay however the staff assisted us to pay via Credit card. The fees is USD 70 per person per day which is nothing to do with the property but you need to pay the Government.

Location excellent, accomodation excellent, food excellent, all meals, superb chef, game drivers knowledgeable and interesting. However it is the staff team which take this place to a whole different level.

The game drives were perfect. Samson was a brilliant driver. He was attentive and factual. We had an amazing experience with him. There are three game drives a day but he allowed us to leave at 6am and go out for a full day. We drove to Tanzania and it was magical. I would highly recommend this hotel as the staff are all lovely. The food was plenty. The location was great as it was central to all the parks.

We just had the most wonderful time at Intrepids Tented Camp. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and made the most of it. We did 4 safari game drives with John who is a super experienced guide, with the right instinct and navigates the craziest terrain smoothly with his Landrover. Food was delicious and the chef greeted us every day personally and checked that everything was fine. Our waiter Ngala was the most hilarious waiter we ever had. We had so much fun with him which made us look forward to every meal. On arrival back at our tent after dinner we were greeted with a hot water bottle in our bed that our tent attendant Ruben had put there - so comfy (as the weather does get a bit chilly at night in November). Thank you also to Ann for a wonderful relaxing massage.
The hotel also organized a very memorable balloon ride with balloonsafariskenya.
For anyone who needs to work whilst on vacation: Wifi is good at the restaurant and also at the tents. We were able to do Zoom calls in both locations. We even did Zoom calls whilst we were out on a safari game drive (often 4G reception) showing our parents all the animals (we purchased a local sim card at the Nairobi airport).
Our stay was very memorable and we would give it an 11 out of 10 as our expectations were more than exceeded.

This was our first trip to the Masai Mara, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The tents are beautiful, as is the pool, restaurant, bar and grounds - even better than in the photos. The staff were all fantastic - Joab was an incredible guide, really knowledgable and just a lovely guy, Stephen took great care of the tent and us, Ngala was a very attentive waiter, Tom and Theresa were excellent chefs, Daniel was a great bartender, Maurice always gave a big welcome back, plus all the excellent front of house staff, restaurant supervisors and those looking after the grounds and pool. Each safari was better than we could have hoped (we also loved the picnic breakfasts on the morning gamedrives).
No fault of the hotel or staff, but a large group of tourists that could be loud and take over communal spaces (hopefully the guests will read this and change it before their next photo trip there)

Very warm service, the sweetest staff I have ever met. Ngala from the restaurant treated us like a family member. Duncan at the reception was amazing and Rubein who was our safari guide was the best we could ask for. I had a late flight hence the resort extended my stay for half a day more for free and provided lunch free of cost! By far one of the best stays ever!
everything was perfect

Our tent was extremely comfortable, food was great, and we were very well looked after by all the staff at Mara Intrepids. The location is fantastic being central in the park and we had incredible game viewing on our game drives.
Nothing - it was all great!

There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel, they do an excellent job.
Denis, he ran our game drives and i have to say he was AMAZING! The knowledge of the wild animals and the search for all the animals was absolutely amazing.
They created so many memories that we vill not forget and we are eternally grateful!

Every staff member was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Probably the best part of our stay was the interaction we had with staff. The game drives with our driver Samson were outstanding he was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond. Mary and Daisy in the front office also went above and beyond definitely would consider returning soon
