The location of the hotel was brilliant, the reception staff were very friendly and check in was quick and easy.
Our room wasn't very clean, lots of noise from other room doors slamming shut through the night and early morning.
Difficult to park and transfer luggage on arrival and departure.
3.5
The room was huge. The staff were great. The location was perfect.
Booking in was ridiculous. The parking situation is useless for those with mobility issues. The room was cold. The bathroom was rather small and the step is not good for those with mobility issues, especially in the middle of the night. The steps up to the dining room were a problem as i have mobility issues.

Breakfast and staff also a comfortable bed
Cobwebs complete with dead flies on inside of window frame is not a good look.

The lobby and downstairs was decorated nicely , some staff really friendly
The bedroom was tired and needs decorating there was mold on the shower curtain and paper pealing off

The property had lots of Victorian characteristics & located ideally 😊
Rooms boasted sea views/views of the marina, unfortunately the trees needed pruning & completely covered the view 😞. Unfortunately we were evacuated for one evening due to a fire, but received a complimentary large glass of wine.

Great location for shopping restaurants and the theatre 💯👍

The location, size of rooms, some staff were friendly
Poor accessibility to rooms for disabled visitors, cleanliness not great, breakfast lacks variety, lift was very bad

The lift kept breaking down thats all

The staff. They couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was too much for them. Even when pushed they kept their smiles in place.
The lift kept breaking down. But even when people complained the staff were very professional.

Location, excellent, comfortable hotel, well appointed & well staffed, bar & breakfast/ dinning facilities- good.

The location was fantastic. Theatre only 100 yds away, near to shops etc. Would use this hotel again for overnight stay. Breakfast was plentiful, enjoyed.R
Room looking a bit tired and dated, softer lighting by the bed.

Very nice hotel for a good price.Very clean, would stay there again.
No room cleaning on Wednesdays. Room didn't need it but needed more sachets of milk; front desk were very helpful here.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Very helpful. Room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable.
We had travelled 5 hours and I don't think there was anything we didn't like. It was a perfect location with a standard room with a comfortable bed which is what a hotel is there for, a room that meets your needs and is comfortable.
3.5
Location is perfect as close to town and beach
The breakfast is if poor quality, rooms need refurbishment they are very tired looking, cleanliness of the bathroom was also poor alot of black mould on tiles and around shower seals, shower itself also needs updating it was extremely small and the pressure was poor the shower needs updating. More care needs to be taken with the cleaning the bedrooms as there were alot of bits on the floor

location
smell in room, and all the surfaces were sticky and dirty
bed very uncomfortable

great location and reception staff were lovely
We advised before arrival that one guest was vegan and was dairy intolerant. The chef and waitress didn't understand this and was offered fish based in butter and dairy ice cream as the vegan/dairy intolerance option. even after telling them they were adamant fish and butter was vegan. we ended up asking for our money back to have our stay as self catering instead
3.5
Perfect location .
3.5
The hotel was central to everything.
The room was very dated, and the windows did not lock also the door did not have a dead lock. The pillows were very hard and so was the mattress. The room was very warm and the radiator could not be turned down so had to try to sleep with the windows open. To be honest the whole hotel needs a complete refurbishment
3.5
The staff were friendly, flexible and welcoming to us and our young labrador, even accommodating us in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The food was varied and excellent, both at breakfast and in the evening (complements to the chef!) Our room was comfortable, impeccably clean and tidy. Location perfect for exploring the area (we did Sidmouth, Babbacombe, Torquay and Goodrington Sands. We will be returning!

Close to centre of town.
People smoking in tbier rooms ruined experience.
3.5
Location was ideal, just on the edge of the town.
Large clean room
Proffesional, polite and friendly staff.
A few large scuff marks on the wall that could do with removing, but not an issue for me personally.
3.5
clean and a very good organised new year party

Breakfast was good so was the evening meal. Friendly staff. Central location.
Would have been better with some evening entertainment although the hotel itself was quiet.
