the location and the uniqueness
there was nothing I didn’t like

We stayed previously and love the decor and location. Breakfast was good. Staff are so nice. We would have no hesitation in staying again.
The room was at side of the premises. The previous visit faced the ocean and was more spacious. A bottle of water would have been good. Bed was not very comfortable.

Monopol is a fine traditional Tenerife hotel with a beautiful inner courtyard. We used the hotel as our base for hiking trips (all the way to Pico de Teide), so it was nice that the bus station was within an easy walking distance. And restaurants were all around the hotel, and supermarkets withis easy walking distance.
Unfortunately, our stay coincided with the Fiesta, which meant that particularly during our last night (Feb 24-25) there was far too much noise from the street. Even in the room, I felt we were part of the festivities. After the drums and other musical instruments stopped by 11 pm, the voices of partying individuals made it impossible to fall asleep before 1 am.

what was great that it was in the center of town. rooms with ocean view. walk out the door and you are right where it’s happening. breakfast was good and a really nice entry lounge with a lot of greenery.
rather old facilities in the rooms and don’t believe it was worth the money. i also had to work a few days and had to pay for the Wi-Fi that ended up not working at all and when I asked about this at the front desk they just said ‘well you can have your money back’

The character and beauty of the buildings. The staff were helpful and friendly. It is a bit old fashioned and quirky. We loved that about it. Stunning atrium area to sit in. Nice luttle pool, but lovely roof garden to sit in with flowers and plants. We would love to go again and stay longer.
The wifi was not good in the rooms.

We liked the location of hotel as well as the position of our room with direct access to the swimming pool. We also liked the cleaning staff who were particularly friendly. The fact that this hotel was an old building with character was one of the reasons we chose it.
The shower was of the type located in the bath and was not the easiest to access. It was also well-used with the shower spray being irregular. The temperature of the water was really not warm enough. As far as the shower was concerned it was not a place to linger.

Stay at the Monopol often. Our favourite hotel always enjoy the pool area and bar.
Lovely staff, beautiful building, very clean. Good breakfast.
Loved the Christmas decorations with background music.
Room spacious. However the TV is totall in the wrong place to watch in bed. Especially as there are no chairs to sit on!
Shower head needs descaling.
Shower screen not the right size every shower the bathroom floods.

The location of the hotel was really great, right in the city center and really close to the beach. The access to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna was really nice too. The room was clean and the hotel was really quiet at night.
We had a really bad smell coming from the bathroom which made our stay a bit less comfortable. The room was really minimal but okay for the rate of the night.

The location, and the style of the building, also the swimming pool was great
the room was awful, it was so noisy from the traffic outside, we literally had no sleep all night

Oldy worldy but love this Hotel. Many a long weekend spent here. Staff very friendly, room clean and tidy. Step out straight into a hive of things to do. Promenade a few metres across the road with a number of shops, bars and restaurants close by.
Parking can be diificult at times especially weekends. If you do want to park, there is a free car park next to harbour in the old town but be early and then it's a bit of a trek to the Hotel.
