Malgré notre séjour rallongé par obligation( bloqués à Madere ) nous avons adoré notre séjour hôtel top personnel super accueillant.
Merci à tous

Kurz: Unbedingt empfehlenswert 👍🏻!

Location, the room , the staff
4.5
Breakfast was good, underground parking garage is very convenient, there's enough good restaurants nearby. Easy access to the beach. Good bar.
Too few electrical outlets in the room.
It was not possible to make an appointment to the spa from the reception, and the desk at the spa was most of the times empty, because the staff was busy with the procedures.
3.5
The sea view room was fantastic, lovely to walk up and walk outside to see the sea, and the room was spotless. The pool was fabulous, with lots of sunbeds around to relax. Some staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great, so many options, the food was really lovely.
The queues, staff seem overworked, especially around the bar area. Some staff appeared rude at times, probably because they were busy. It would be good if the made more of the outdoor seating area and had staff to clean up. At checkin, we were not given much information. It would have been helpful to know about the free shuttle and be given some pool towels, things to do, etc. There is no kettle in the room, but it said so on the hotel website. Tea was paid for in very small cups.

The hotel stay was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The daily shuttle into Funchal and back to the hotel was well organised and convenient as it is a 30 mins drive and would otherwise be an expensive taxi! Hotel is less than 5 mins drive from the airport (with a taxi via Bolt only costing €4).
Good location, nice local town with restaurants and felt safe to walk about in the evening.
The hotel rooms and facilities were clean however the rooms were slightly dated, with carpeted floors. I do not mind permanent bottles of shampoo and hand gel being screwed to the wall but there was no conditioner and the shampoo was a 2-in-1 shower gel - with no lather. Disappointingly at breakfast none of the fruit grown on the island was served e.g. bananas, passion fruit, avocado, mango over the 4 days of our stay - instead tinned fruit with daily watermelon and pineapple only. We had to buy bottles of water with no facility to refill bottles, which again was disappointing. With temperatures up to 27 degrees - water should be provided for free to ensure hydration. Bring a swimming cap if you plan on using the indoor pool, or you will have to buy one!

Lacking in charm.

The staff made our stay. Especially the lovely Catarina - she saved our vacation. Sorted out a rental car very easily for us and was generally super friendly and informative to every guest.
I was slightly disappointed with the Spa being so busy all the time but for the price it was really good so I can't really complain.

I asked to replace the evening for my breakfast, they said no.
I thought it was average at best. They didn't go out of their way to make my stay exceptional.

A beautiful hotel, a great breakfast, a short distance to the bus stop. Big outside swimming pool and small inside wellness.

There was loud sound from hotel bar coming to the rooms, I couldn't sleep. Couldn't also open the balcony door, cause people smoked on parking place and hotel balcony. Near swimming pool was so dusty, cause renevation. I booked this hotel for a good rest, but it turn to be nighmare. Swimming pool water was ice cold and if you want spa you must line and book your visit there. Never again this one. Reception told ... with this coupon u get free wine.. yes if you spend 40€ for food.

This is a large hotel with lots of facilities such as a pool and spa. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The buffet breakfast is good, and the hotel is a 20 minute walk from the airport.
This was my second visit to the hotel, as I had been impressed by the first visit over a decade ago. This time however, I enjoyed it less so. The room was facing a busy side street, so the balcony was redundant. There were drilling noises in the vicinity. And at night, I found the constant thrumming from the internal ventilation system kept me awake. Checking in and out was also very slow, as there only seemed to be one person on duty.

Everything was great, thank you! I came after my birthday to continue celebrating. And it was a great place to do it!
Everything was great.

Clean comfortable rooms
The staff wasn't friendly and kind. The indoor pool got closed with no notice and justification

Location good, pool good, food at breakfast very good.
Special request made to check in at 12:00 (normal check in at 15:00) - said that they would do all they could to meet the request but no room was available until 15:00 despite the hotel not being full. Room given was one of the older ones in terms of a refurbishment schedule - Plastic cover on shower rail missing, light cover in bathroom mirror cracked, black mould in the corner of tiles around the bath, safe in the room not working. Older lady working in the bar at lunchtime rude with preference given to all-inclusive guests.

nice room, balcony, breakfast
indoor pool closes too soon, when some people just start coming to hotel. couldn’t enjoy it unfortunately, even if I was planning to use it more often at first

Staff very helpful and polite
The hotel was beautiful spotless and clean very comfortable, pool and facilities were amazing
Room was very noisy whilst trying to sleep noise of people walking on corridors and live music from the bar coming up the floor very unpleasant as needed to leave at 3am for flight but struggled to sleep
Cost around €30 to taxi in to Funchal

The hotel and the facilities were really lovely- I’m not sure the photos do it justice, the view from the sea view balcony was stunning especially at night and first thing in the morning. The location - a short seafront walk away from Santa Cruz centre was perfect and it was a lovely village.
We did not eat in the hotel in the evening - just had a few drinks in the hotel bar ( there was one on the lower floor) before heading out for dinner- the restaurants in the village were plentiful and we found a great one which did amazing steaks. The hotel breakfast buffet had a good spread with a pancake and omelette station. The children loved the giant chessboard and the table tennis table ( collecting their bats and ball from the bar staff). The staff were all very friendly and helpful- especially lovely Sandra behind the bar.
My only regret was not staying longer. We used this hotel as a one night stop off for a early morning flight but actually it was certainly lovely enough for a few nights stay and we would have loved to have seen more of Santa Cruz. We didn’t have time to use the Spa or indoor pool but we did test the water of the pool and it was warm ( outdoor pool was cold but it was February and to be expected). The location to the airport was perfect - 5 minutes drive and 8 euros in a taxi.
Personally I would have loved the option for a family room- one for five people ( always hard to find) or two rooms linked by adjourning doors. This tends to determine where I stay for longer stays as I like to stay with my family rather than in two separate rooms which was the only option here [but also in the majority of hotels too so this hotel not alone]

Location, really near the airport. All clean and staff was really helpful as I had to catch a flight in 30minutes.
The rooms with view to the island instead of the pool and the sea are not that great.

Location good in Santa Cruz, loved hearing the waves on the beach, got used to the plane noise. Good view. Catarina on Reception was great, she smiled, and was chatty and helpful. Cleaning staff were lovely and friendly.
Staff in the Bar and at breakfast were in the main abrupt, slow and not friendly. Bed was not very comfortable. No shuttle bus available to airport just a couple of km down the road, despite a hotel minibus sitting outside !! Tried to use the coffee pods in the room, machine did not work. Drank the bottle of water. Neither the pods or water were replaced. Wardrobe door was so hard to slide. Room needed decorating, paint peeling off the wall!
