Pleasant Stay at The Maxwell Hotel

As a 3-star hotel, The Maxwell Hotel met my expectations with its comfortable accommodations and excellent service. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed, providing a relaxing environment after a day of exploring Cebu City. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met throughout my stay. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at The Maxwell Hotel and would recommend it to fellow travellers looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Cebu City.

A mini fridge would have been handy in the room, as there was plenty of space for one.

Good value for money.

The staff was very welcoming, good location close to 7-Eleven and some restaurants.

The flush in the toilet didn’t work, the AC was running loud, the curtains didn’t really stop the light in the morning. There was a stain on the blanket.

I was not able to stay at the property. I was so tired and was coldly asked to wait or to go.

I guess I was just too tired I took the “hospitality” badly.

It was nice expect for the air-conditioning it was not functioning properly. The room was hot.

We had to check out as soon as we got to our room. It was so bad and dirty. No outside window and the only window we had was directly infront of the lift so people could see us. I would not recommend to stay here and plenty places for same price and better quality. Outdated, dirty and deposit for a bad place to stay

Good but AC badly needs fixing/upgrading

The location is 10/10. The staffs 10/10

The AC. Have read a lot of reviews about the AC not getting that much but looks like nothing is being done. I woke up sweating because the AC is not that cold.

its close to everything like atm, jollibee, mcdo, 7-11, ayala mall, etc. .

because its in the hiway, u can hear all the vehicle noise esp evening.

The location was very convenient and accessible. Food establishments are near and transportation was easy. I also like the idea that since I ask if there is a fee for late check out, I informed them that I needed an extra 30 mins they responded that it's alright and no added fees will be charged.

It may not be directly related to the hotel operations but the entire stay I wasn't able to connect to the hotel's internet. Although i was informed that the internet connection will resume in 24 hrs from the time I checked in, it did not happen. The room was also situated in the direct sunlight during Morning. So I was awaken due to that. Room 401. Likewise, the bidet was a bit loose so there were water leaking. Although I tried to adjust still it was not fixed.Perhaps, maintenance may schedule a thorough check up of the rooms before guest comes in. Maybe, have an alternative plan like consider having 2 internet providers.
