Before coming here I was slightly nervous of the some of the reviews but honestly this hotel is amazing. I did however notice that a significant amount of the guests around me were extremely high maintenance. They seemed to complain about the smallest most trivial issues, so I think the slightly poor reviews are from that type. The food was constantly delicious (a la carte for lunch/ 3 options on a set menu for dinner) the staff attentive and friendly - they do anything you ask with a smile.
The rooms were big and clean (yes not ultra modern, but they were traditionally Moroccan) great shower, really large comfy beds. Cleaned really well each day. Breakfast was great (bread, pastry, pancakes, jams, eggs any way, fruit). Linen napkins and nice silverware. Two pools, one of which was very large. Beautiful grounds really well maintained. They organised great excursions for us very easily. We did bugging in the desert and a hike in the Atlas Mountains. Were other options too.
Only small improvement really was the spa - massage was great but the hamman wasn’t the most relaxing - could do with a tidy/ spruce up and there was a dripping tap.

The grounds and pools were amazing and very clean. The grounds are so impressively well kept by the ground staff. The rooms are beautiful and so spacious, we stayed in a junior suite. The bar is lovely and the outdoor restaurant is very nice, but the restaurant indoors is a bit stuffy and not fun to go there every night. Overall it is a very peaceful and tranquil place for a lovely get away from the city and would highly recommend. The owners are very accommodating and friendly and made the stay very nice for us by going out of their way on our dietary requirements. I would recommend anyone to stay here for someone looking for peace and a break from life.
Unfortunately, the food wasn’t up to the standard that it should be for a beautiful hotel like this. The owners are very accommodating to anything you like to have added on the dinner menu if you are veggie or don’t like what’s in the menu. But, the lunch menu is poor and has all the same food on it with no veggie options or nice snacks that you can order during the day like hummus and bread or some more traditional Moroccan snacks that good restaurants provide in the city. The breakfast is v poor and can be easily fixed with some quality pastries, breads , coffees and juices and is a real let down at the hotel. I would personally get a different breakfast chef and make some simple changes to make the whole experience more luxurious. The staff don’t have the level of customer service needed for a beautiful hotel like the Capaldi and need some training in customer service to be at a higher level you get a hotels for a similar price level.

Superb grounds in a beautiful setting close to the mountains and Marrakech. Outstanding cuisine at reasonable prices.
A fridge in the room would be useful

attractive setting and layout with plenty of comfortable areas to sit and relax
food very average - breakfast pancakes and coffee often cold/luke warm; no vegetarian options for dinner

Nice grounds, pool was nice and lots of places to sunbathe. Cinema room was cool and beds comfy. Hotel manager was extremely helpful and massages were relaxing.
Food was disappointing and hotel overall a little dated - the dining areas are a bit tired, empty most evenings with no real atmosphere for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful hotel, stunning gardens, completely tranquil and calm especially after the chaos of the Marrakech Medina for the previous few days. Staff great and very present friendly owners. Restaurant food good especially for lunch. Didn’t use the spa as had had a treatment the day before arriving. Room comfortable, private and large with a great bathroom and robes and sun loungers outside (we had the cheapest room).
The wifi wasn’t great in the room, but we already knew this from other reviews and it was nice to switch off! My only suggestion would be the provision of tea and coffee making facilities and maybe some snacks in the room - although this was also not provided in our riad in Marrakech so maybe it isn’t a thing in Morocco - but we always appreciate being able to have a coffee in bed!

The property is beautiful and very well managed. We were able to completely switch off and relax. The walk on the mountains and tea hosted by a wonderful berber family were definitely a highlight, one we recommend to anyone. Our guide Latifa was exceptional.

We could not recommend more highly, it was a wonderful place, the staff were incredibly helpful at all stages; before arrival, during our stay and prior to departure. A beautiful, tranquil, peaceful setting with lush green gardens and space, a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The food was delicious, waiting staff exemplary. A true gem! We will be back!

Elements that were good - but still a huge ripoff:
+ surroundings and landscaping
+ peaceful, quiet, relaxing
+ kind staff
+ Great pool areas
+ Breakfast generous and tasty
+ Different dinner menu daily
Overall, for what we paid, the experience did not live up to the price at all. This is a luxury holiday they're selling and aside from the aesthetics, nothing met our expectations or came close to what they're charging:
- all furniture inside is cheap and tatty
- hard bed, v uncomfortable
- restaurant decent but grossly overpriced for what it is, and with nowhere else to go
- no line item clarity on final bill
- gym v poor
- wouldn't serve food away from restaurant
- hospitality etiquette in restaurant a bit limited, as was their English and French.

We stayed in August and practically had the hotel to ourselves. Felt like living in the Garden of Eden.
Internet connection is awful - best set your expectations low.

possibly the rural location, But you can remedy this by hiring a car

The staff went above and beyond, we couldn’t have asked for more.
The location was beautiful and the site is spacious so you don’t feel like you’re with lots of other people.
Fantastic facilities and great food. Breakfast was especially nice, the best we had had in Morocco.
Air con in the room could have been better.
