Very friendly and helpful host!

The apartment was spacious and cool in the hot July weather. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Comfortable well located apartment with many stairs.

It was a quiet apartment, with everything we needed plus a nice simple breakfast. Well suited for 4 travelers.

The many stairs were not ideal, but the climb was worth it when we saw the apartment.

Clean accommodation in town centre close to everything. Great for a one night stop over

45 steps to front door. Very small shower, toilet area.

Charming apartment providing basic accommodation in an attractive setting.

Our unit (no 9) had an especially good location with a lovely area to sit/ eat outdoors. It was very peaceful when we were there and Pedro was a fantastic host. It was wonderful to have breakfast delivered every morning. Wifi was good.

There are quite steep steps to reach the apartments from the street level . . although Pedro heroically carried our bags down for us when we left.

He was more than helpful, when we made contact he insisted on carrying our bags up the many steep steps to our lovely apartment. ,

We didn’t understand that WhatsAp was the way to contact Pedro.

I'd like to return as it was a nice change from a month of hotels.

Location was grest. Breakfast delivered to door and host was willing to provide any requests. Pedro was so pleasant, accommodating and helpful.

There is a lot of stairs but Pedro and neighbors were more than willing to assist. We're older but used to fending for ourselves, but we appreciated the kind offers of help.

A lovely host and great location in an interesting town.

Pedro is a star! He is so generous, friendly and helpful. The property is located on the main street so is easy to find.

The towels were very thin and the couch was uncomfortable.

Perfect place to stay in Pinhao, everything you need to stay in the douro, supermarket 2 minutes away, the river about 5 minutes.. be prepared for stairs, but if your going to the douro, steps & hills are everywhere!!! Lovely Breakfast delivered fresh every morning, check was easy without stress. Perfect stay.

Steps... wish I'd taken a smaller case... pack light..

Very nice outside terrace which we didn't use because of the weather but would be lovely in the sun

Host was very helpful with luggage up the steep stairs leading to the apartments, local information and provided a wonderful breakfast in the morning . It was chilly and the heat was on when we arrived so that was thoughtful and welcome.

Great value for the price in a beautiful spot.

Pinhao is a beautiful place to visit and this apartment was great! Lot of space and a super convenient kitchen. The host, Pedro, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the door every morning was a much appreciated attention.

The shower curtain could need a little update!

Beautifully appointed apartment with fabulous patios. Charming touches included delivery of b'fast supplies in a basket each morning and the extremely helpful, friendly proprietor Pedro. Looking forward to going back!

Wide apartment, but...

The owner is very kind, breakfast was delivered in a basket right to the door.

Blankets, curtains, mattress and pillows of #5 have to be replaced with new ones because of the bad smell. A bit overpriced.

Exceptional

Our stay at Casas Botelho Elias exceeded our expectations! We traveled around Portugal with multiple stops along the way and this was by far our favorite stay of the whole trip. Pinhao is so beautiful and everyone in town was incredibly nice. The space itself felt very authentic and immediately made us feel at home. We were able to meet the host who was extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The location was fantastic with such wonderful hospitality! We’ll definitely stay here again!

The location was awesome but what really impressed us was the morning breakfast! We were treated to a full breakfast in a basket. Pedro our host was exceptional and offered to make any changes we wished to the breakfast for our second morning.

We only had 1 night in the 2 bedroom suite but hey, that’s on us for not booking earlier!

Superb

Pedro was very welcoming and communication prior to arriving was excellent. The apartment was spacious and comfortable . The AC in the room was definitely needed and appreciated. The rooftop terrace is a nice extra and is surrounded with great views and fruit trees. Having breakfast delivered to our door was a nice extra touch.

Wonderful location, beautiful patio- we loved cooking and eating outside. The breakfast was amazing delivered by Pedro each morning - and the AC was wonderful in the heat!

The master bedroom (one off the living room) got very hot - the AC cold air did not circulate very well into the room with the door open. I would suggest a fan on the floor to help. Also it would be good to have some additional knives in the kitchen for cooking.

As all reviewers mention, Pedro, the owner, is fantastic; friendly, helpful and puts a huge breakfast outside your door each morning. He also advised us on different hikes we could do from Pinhao. The location is good - 5 mins walk from the train station - and the apartment was well equipped.

We booked the last apartment available, which was a studio. It was quite dark and the bathroom was tiny. it would be fine for a night, but if you’re staying for a few days I would definitely go for one of the bigger apartments.

A perfect place to stay and enjoy Pinhão.

Do not rush Pinhão. Give 2,3 or more full days. Calm and relaxed - take a trip on the river, wander the hills and spectacular views, visit a local Quinta for some tasting. Casas Botelho Elias is perfect for Pinhão. The accommodation is self contained apartments with kitchenette, bathroom and plenty of outside space to enjoy the sun or shade. Breakfast is delivered to your door each morning. Rita and Pedro are perfect hosts. Attentive, informative but not intrusive. A great place to spend your time in Pinhão.

It's a lovely apartment with a nice outside patio area in the sunshine. Our hosts were great and very attentive. They provided lots of useful information on the town including walking routes, Breakfast was excellent.
