All is good except bed.
Mattress is not so good.

Almost everything: the location close to the lake, the pool is amazing, the place is very quiet, teh staff. The dinner has been very tasty, as well the breakfast.
The room very spacious, as well the bathroom
The bed was not so confortable, it looked like the spring mattress (usually I prefer latex mattress) was quite aged, the only way to sleep was to stay in the middle. Also the door of the bathroom was not perfect. I mean the hotel was excellent, but you expect perfection from a 5 star hotel

The swimming pool area is beautiful, there are plenty of loungers and it is a relaxing place to spend time. You have to wear a swimming hat in the pool but the hotel give you these for free.
Our room was quite basic, and the bathroom particularly would benefit from modernisation. The bed was two twin beds pushed together with no attempt to make it look like a double, and was extremely uncomfortable (as were the pillows). The aircon did not work properly, and despite reporting this to reception it was not fixed during our stay.
Breakfast was a bit of an odd experience - it’s set up as a help yourself buffet (with limited choices), but you have to ask for basic things like milk and hot water. There is hot food available but nobody offered it to us, so we didn’t realise this for the first two mornings.
The most frustrating and disappointing thing about this hotel was when we returned one night at about midnight. The gates were shut and there was no way of getting in (you might think swipe card access for guests would be provided). We pressed the bell several times with no success. We had to call the front desk and it took 10 minutes for the night guard to answer the phone and let us in. We reported this the next day and the staff were not at all apologetic.

The hotel is a beautiful building in lovely grounds. The outdoor swimming pool and surrounding area are gorgeous.
The hotel offers lunch but apparently has no kitchen. We ordered a simple lunch of salads but they took over an hour to arrive. To be fair we got a free glass of wine as compensation

staff were always accommodating to any requests you have
just wish they had a restaurant or room service for the evening

Really friendly staff, great breakfast, the pool was lovely and the hotel was right by the lake. Service at the pool bar was particularly good.
Not much atmosphere (probably because it was a very quiet time of year) and not many restaurant options nearby

Beachfront, breakfast good (but it‘s annoying that it‘s à la carte and you have to fill out your choices one day in advance! Other hotels handle it differently, also in times of COVID).
When you do your booking via booking.com (good rate), you get the worst room of the whole hotel. Last room on the ground floor, next to the outgoing air coming from the tumble dryers in the cellar. It‘s unbelievable noisy the whole day. The personal knows about these circumstances, that‘s why you get this terrible room (you didn‘t pay the rate that the guests paid when booking on their website).
They don‘t really clean the bathroom.
The bed is uncomfortable, my back hurt although I‘m a young person.

The size of the suite was very good and we enjoyed the bath in our whirlpool and the pool. There were good parking options and the breakfast was very rich.
It was a bit noisy through the door.

Returned to this amazing hotel for the second time running. I highly recommend this 5 star hotel to anyone who is in search for a peaceful time in a beautiful place! The hotel is situated in a quiet area near the city's centre, about 5 min walk from the Old Town of Bolsena, and about 1 minute walk from the beautiful Lago di Bolsena. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices and is really good. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and has a stunning pool. The management is professional and the staff are very dedicated and attend to the guest's needs. I'm already counting down the days until I return!

Everything. The location was amazing, right by the lake and a number of restaurants. The pool was stunning, the decor, even the smell was lovely. We will definitely be back!
