This was a romantic haven
This was a romantic haven. Stunning views and a cozy atmosphere. Hometrek was just what we needed.
Perhaps a few more private spaces for couples.

It’s nice if you enjoy hostel life and always got your ear plugs with you
Serene location, relatively new building/facilities
My private room window was directly facing the walkway to the communal bathrooms, my view was literally their sinks (see photo). I could not open my window cause people would close it from outside, I was hearing every person going to toilet/shower/wash hands, especially at night. Spent 2 nights there and probably sleepy less than 8hrs in total because of the noises. Breakfast situation was also confusing: staff informed me that breakfast starts 7am which I opted for, but then early morning they said it would be 8am. Waited 45min for pancakes so I started day already 2 hours late

Great for meeting people!
Great for solo travellers! The atmosphere was more like a chill hostel as it’s quite a large homestay but Zizi still made us all feel at home! It was also really great value for the room - family dinner and other meals are extra but felt reasonably priced
Often a queue at front desk as was one line to order food/organise tours/check out but understandable as it’s still a small family run place

Ahh, talk about a breath of fresh air! Hometrek is just what we needed to recharge our batteries. We've been unwinding, relaxing, and feeling totally refreshed. It's like hitting the reset button on life – we're loving it!
Yeah, language barrier can be tough, but they're really patient and do their best to help you out.

A two night stay is ideal
I arrived in the middle of the week, not many tourists staying here, the place was very quiet. I had good peaceful sleep at night. The breakfast was Vietnamese style, the food filled my stomach. I took a slow walk down to the valley, bought some fruits from the village shops, took photos, enjoyed the fresh air. It was good exercise for an old man like me, who are not fit enough for long multi-hours trek. I came to the homestay without high expectation, I left the resort a happy man. I will visit the resort again in the future. It's a nice place for a short respite from the noisy city life. A two night stay is ideal.
There were some litter, e.g. beer can, food wrapper, etc., in front of the balcony among the shrubs, thrown by the previous room occupiers. Would be nice a more frequent litter pick-up is carried out. This is just a small issue that I believe the management will resolve very quickly.
