The service levels of the staff. The manager rectified an issue over room allocations quickly & very efficiently. Not only was I impressed but my guests were amazed by the service levels & friendliness of the staff. But also the quality of the rooms & food. Breakfast was leisurely & so good.
The plug for the hairdryer was just above the skirting under the dressing table. Which meant kneeling on the floor to plug in. It would have been better above the dressing table or at the side. But I am being picky!

Room was very spacious.
Horrible smell coming from bathroom drains, could be cleaner, all the glasses in the bar were dirty.
4.3
Staff were brilliant and the food and accommodation were excellent. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
Nothing.

The staff were incredible, extremely personable and go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable.
The restaurant decor is stunning.
The free BBQ - although I didn't eat from it, it was a great gesture.
1. The unexpected discovery of a karaoke night until 12 midnight. Had I known about this, I would have not booked here. I was treating my partner to a night away and during our evening meal, the Karaoke began, which in my view, tainted the experience.
2. The noise outside of our door which at one point included someone falling down the step and into our door, then crying and talking loudly - keeping us and our dogs up well into the early hours.
3. The roadside noise was also incredibly loud. We discovered earplugs tucked away on the counter the next morning. I would suggest having a notice saying something along the lines of 'You're in a roadside room which may be noisy at times - please use our complimentary ear plugs'.
4. The pillows were terribly uncomfortable - too hard.
5. The smell from the bathroom was awful - like sewerage.
6. Arriving for breakfast promptly at 8am the next morning, we were exhausted and wanted to get on the road, and saw it had not been cleaned up from the night before. There was food debris everywhere and the cleaners were literally mopping around our feet.

Lovely modern decor, great friendly atmosphere, excellent food
I can fault it

comfortable beds nice size rooms
parking was a problem however managed to find something in the end
4.3
clean, nicely furnished
the square outside the hotel can be noisy and the property only has single glazed sash windows so you can be easily disturbed - and we were at 04:30.
4.3
friendly staff, modern rooms, amazing breakfast!
the only downside: our room was located right above the restaurant’s kitchen and the smell of fried cooking was really strong during the day…

Friendly and welcoming staff, charming rooms with period features, nice restaurant and bar on ground floor, really excellent breakfast the next morning. Parking was free, but limited outside the hotel, with more free parking about a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. Before I forget, the room also had Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, biscuits and 2 bottles of spring water, (which was a really nice touch). We would definitely stay there again.
There was an odour that came from the shower drain in the bathroom, (we were only there for 1 night), thus not long enough to fix the problem. There is a church bell that chimes on the hour and that can disturb light sleepers, otherwise very quiet.

Excellent welcome and assistance throughout my stay when I needed it as am severely sight impaired and travel on my own for work. Excellent food, nice to have home cooked food especially the breakfast for a change rather than the usual chain hotel offering. Am going to stay again shortly.

In the centre of Harleston so close to all amenities. I had a quiet room with a very comfortable bed so had an excellent night's sleep. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was very good.

This hotel is what I needed. After a long day, I had a nice meal at the hotel restaurant and a good night sleep. Breakfast in the morning was very nice.
Thank you
There was nothing I didn't like.
4.3
We had a modern decorated room, bottled water, tea coffee and a very comfortable bed, we had a good restaurant meal (best to book as they get busy), exceptional breakfast both hot and cold selections and good service, car parking is available but limited, the room was at the rear of the Hotel away from the bar noise as we had requested, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cooking smells coming into the room from the kitchen while the restaurant was open and some noise from the kitchen extractor fans, car parking spaces are limited and unable to be reserved.
