We wanted comfortable holiday home in Chichester to use as a base for visiting local sites and enjoying meals out in town. The house was perfect, light and well equipped. It was very close for walking into town. There were many good restaurants and shops in Chichester also. Would recommend.

We all really enjoyed our stay at Jubilee House. The property is gorgeous, high quality fixtures & fittings, comfy beds and very clean. Communication with the owner was very good - right down to letting us know the kind of coffee maker in the house and that milk would be in the fridge! Location is perfect and a real bonus to have parking. Would definitely recommend this property.

The location was ideal to be able to walk into the city.
The amount of information provided by the owners gave us a comprehensive guide to the local area.

My husband and I have just spent a fantastic two weeks at Jubilee House. The host Kate obviously takes a lot of care and pride and the house is immaculate. Everything you can think of is provided. The location is great, very close to shops and restaurants but in a peaceful neighborhood. We will not hesitate to book again. Thanks Kate for making our visit so enjoyable!

If you are considering booking this home...do it NOW before someone else gets this gem! My wife and I (around 60 years old) stayed 2 weeks and it was wonderful. The unit is exactly as advertised and is very well equipped with everything you will need for your stay...no matter how long. It is in a very quiet and picturesque neighborhood. It is just a few minutes walk to a grocery store and only 10 minutes walk to downtown with lots of restaurants, shops and people watching! Can't wait till our travels bring us back to this area!

We really appreciated the ideal location of Jubilee House in a quiet road within 5 minutes walk of the city walls, several parks, the theatre and the local Co-op. The facilities in the house are outstanding and it was lovely to have a view of the beautifully kept garden from the main room. Comprehensive information about Chichester and the surrounding area helped us plan trips and activities. I have already recommended a stay at Jubilee House to friends!

The house is amazing. Immaculate and tastefully decorated, cottage like. Best appointed kitchen I’ve ever stayed in. Dining room doors open to the garden. Peaceful. Perfect. Great communication with host. Cannot say enough about this home. It really is perfect.

Every comfort is provided, and every detail is carefully considered in this lovely Chichester home. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the beds, pillows and linens are very nice. It's on a quiet side street within a short walk of the city center. As visitors from the US Jubilee House became our home base with enough space to entertain. A niece drove from Cornwall to stay with us a few nights, so we appreciated having a second parking space.

Jubilee House is just that - a two storey attached house. You'll find anything you could possibly ever want there: gourmet kitchen utensils, huge fridge, convection oven with gas hob (British English for stove top burners), microwave, dishwasher, separate washer and dryer, two TV's, fast wi-fi, 3 comfortable beds (king, queen and twin), tasteful artwork, parking, and much more. The well-manicured back garden (back yard) is spectacular with its varied exotic vegetation. The house is on a quiet dead-end street in an upscale neighborhood so noise is not an issue.
Hosts, Alex and Kate, are young professionals who live next door. They responded quickly to any requests we had. For example, a worn seal on the bathtub drain stopper was leaking. Alex appeared the next day with a new seal. We especially appreciated that they honored our request to use unscented cleaning and laundry products as we are both allergic to most commercial scents. There is a list of house rules which some might find off-putting at first. All of the rules, however, are mostly common sense. For instance, they ask that you close the windows when you leave the house lest their fire and theft insurance be voided. When you consider all of the time and money they have invested in renovating the property, you can understand why they would want their guests to respect their efforts. In general, we found that Kate was more than willing to accommodate any special requests we had.
The main shopping streets with numerous shops, restaurants and supermarkets are a 15-minute walk away along an ancient Roman wall. The train station is a 20-minute walk as is a much larger shopping complex on the edge of town. There's also a large Coop convenience store that is open late and which is about a 2-minute walk around the corner. The fact that so much is within walking distance was important to us since we were traveling by train. Everywhere you go in this city, there is so much history which you can learn about through the walking tours which the city offers, not to mention the tour of the cathedral. The castle and cathedral at Arundel are just a short, 30-minute train ride away. The sea is about a 15-minute drive away. Make sure to visit the 11th century church on the coast at Bosham with the grave of the daughter of Viking King Canute.
We can honestly say that at the end of our 3-week stay, we didn't want to leave.

Beautiful house and garden in a quiet residential road within a five minute walk to the centre of Chichester. Spacious lounge/diner and well equipped kitchen. Snug perfect for the teenagers. The icing on the cake were fresh flowers and local produce & goodies. Really couldn't ask for any more.

Jubilee House is spotlessly clean, bright and airy and has everything you need for a great time away. We were very impressed.

Our planned week long stay turned into a nightmare when three days in the host, Kate, kicked out half of our guests.
We made the honest mistake of missing the fine print in the "house rules" Kate sent 3 days before our stay and showed up with 5 adults and 1 child – two adult couples, a 3yo and a grandma…all tidy, quiet and conscientious. After two pleasant nights in the house (during which her husband was next door without issue), Kate returned home and promptly harassed us about two house rules of which we were unaware – children are apparently allowed (but not under the age of 6) and no more than 5 guests in total (not just adults) are allowed.
Upon reviewing the house rules, even the language there (had we read it closely) does not feel definitive as it suggests the house is “not suitable” for young children or more than 5 individuals but does not specifically say “not allowed”. We had never heard of a rental property not allowing children before or so strictly enforcing capacity within 1-2 people and were quite literally shocked.
Apparently, as Kate informed us, this was also not the first time this has happened. Why, if this is a repeating problem, would she not explicitly follow up with each guest after they book to ensure she understands who will be staying on the property? It seems that such a strict and unusual policy requires greater care and diligence on her part.
Regardless, we tried to work with Kate to find a solution that could preserve our holiday and precious family time together, but she was not interested in making any concessions. She is a child averse host and even commented that she finds the sound of a young child’s voice and pitter-pattering feet disturbing.
Ultimately, she required that the family of three move out of the house at their own expense and refused to allow the child to return to the property even just for brief periods so we could enjoy family meals together.
Needless to stay, we did not enjoy the property at all for the rest of our stay – the 3 of us that remained avoided spending any more time there than necessary as we felt very uncomfortable being so closely surveilled by Kate.
The whole experience was traumatic and we still can’t believe that it happened. The hospitality business requires reasonable accommodation when things don't go according to plan – not so with this host.

The house was beautifully presented and absolutely spotless. We felt really confident in the enhanced cleaning between guests due to covid. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked with every cooking utensil you could possibly need and there's a brilliant selection of kids books. The garden is lovely and the location is super convenient.

Have been to many hotels and holiday homes, this one is top class

This was beyond any expectation. The presentation on HomeAway / VRBO is very good, but a good photographer can do that too. But when we arrived, this property exceeded our expectations by miles! Everything you may ever need in a vacation rental is there. You literally just have to bring your clothes and your toothbrush. The owners Kate and Alex live right next door and are very friendly and helpful. And I dont know who are their gardener and cleaner, but I want them at my house too. Everything is so clean and fresh and the garden is amazing. You can walk to the city center and the Chichester Festival Theater is right around the corner. We have been to quite a number of vacation rentals, but this one is by far the best. We will be back!
