Jeżeli skala ocen wynosi 10 to Casa Contini ma 15! Właściciele, lokalizacja i apartament to coś niesamowitego. Właściciel odebrał nas z nowej części Matery, w której myliśmy bezpłatny parking, zawiózł nas i odebrał, ponieważ do Sasi di Matera nie wolno wjeżdżać.

Everything!!! Such a lovely and cozy home with everything you need. Lorenzo offered us free parking and free shuttle to the house. The house is right in the historical centre. AMAZING stay!

One of the best accommodation experiences I have ever had. Lorenzo couldn't have been more accommodating and gave us great recommendations for Matera. Location perfect.
Nothing, it was perfect

Casa Contini and it’s hosts deserve a 15!! Beautiful cave house, exceptional care by hosts and perfect location. You will not find a better place or hosts in Matera.
Nothing, all was as expected and more.

This place is magical, as if we where in the middle ages, but having all the necessities of the modern life. The decoration was so cozy, just amazing, with a feeling of a home, not a place to stay. It has a beautiful little balcony with beautiful view to Matera. We would love to stay longer and will come back for sure to feel again the magic of this place. Lorenzo and his father waited for us, extremely kind hosts :) We are so grateful for the tips he sent us about points of interest, transport, restaurants.

The communication and follow up on questions where timely and accurate. Thumbs up. Minor issues, like the clothes washer not working for us, were handled immediately and with resolve.
Overall not much to complain about with this unit. Interesting to be staying literally in a place that is 1,000s of years old. We went in off season and knew things would be quieter. This unit and location are recommended by us. No complaints.

Great location and as historic as it gets family owned apartment that wil teleport you in the past but with all modern facilities in place. Everything is set up with care( basic needs in the kitchen, warm blankets, etc). A cozy porch with a stunning view let’s you relax and feel historic surroundings of Matera. Hosts are very supportive, speak well in English, very organized check in and out, orientation at the place, pleasant, friendly family. We will remember it with warmth. Grazie di cuore! 💝

We liked everything!!!
Lorenzo and his father are amazing hosts. The apartment is very unique, typical cave house, but with all modern things-even washing machine.
The apartment is in old town center, but was very quiet.

Matera is an exceptional place and accommodation in Casa Contini allows you to feel it and enjoy it. It met my expectation on how the apartment will look like, however it exceeded my expectation on how you will feel in it. I loved the way how the family keeps some of the original furniture they used when they were living there in the past. It only adds to the atmosphere. Also the other pieces of the furniture matches the style. The structure is made of solid stone walls and if you keep your windows shut during the day, it will stay coll inside even when there's 40 deg Celsius outside. For nights I made a trick and put a fan (available in the room) in front of the small window above main door so a fresh cooler air was pumped in during the night. We didn't feel a need to use the airconditioning that's available in the living room and the front bedroom. But for those who like super cool air - it's there rady for service. As a family we liked the table, that can be unfolded and doubled in its area.
There's nothing I particularly dind't like. I only want to pin point the fact, the apartment is located on the main street with car traffic allowed. Also there are restaurants and bars nearby, so you can expect people will be on the street talking until approx. midnight. That's it. I'm using this part to communicate some ideas for improvements: 1) We were missing some dimm light in the living room. A retro style lamp with low light bulb somewhere in the corner behind the TV would help. 2) A table-cloth that covers the table when unfolded would be nice. We just turned the available by 90 deg. and it still looked good. 3) Faucet in the shower requires replacement. The water in the shower is running cold then you move a milimeter and the water is super warm. It was not a problem for me or my wife however it was a problem to find approriate temperature for our 6 years old doughter.

A lovely small locall house in the middle of town with one real bedroom and one cave bedroom in the.back behind a curtain. The cave bedroom was very nice and chilled in the heat. It is also right in the middle of town, quite close to the final bus stop in the Sassi. This is a great place to visit with a family, easy walking distance from sights and restaurants.
The property is up some stairs from the road which may be difficult with small kids.

Amazing location in the heart of one of the most beautiful towns I have been to. The house was very nice and unique, and was perfect for a family of 4. The hosts were very nice and extremely accommodating. They reserved a parking spot for us and met us there to help us get the shuttle into the town and even drove our luggage down for us so we could make the shuttle into town in time. Our only regretvis that we didn't stay hrre longer!

I don't normally bother writing reviews, but had to after this stay. Lorenzo and his father are amazing hosts, doing everything they can to make the stay the best it can be, even going as far as transporting your luggage to and from the house while you take the local bus with a provided ticket (as there is no driving into the centre). The house itself is perfect; beautiful, warm, comfortable and great location. And Matera, stunning. Stay here!

Very nice and helpful host, i came late due to flight delay, tgere were no problems with that :-) the house is amazing, its partially a real cave, but with all modern amenities, its super clean, well mantained. And they have all these old objects from peasant life so it feels like you are living in the museum. Location could not be better :-)
Everything was perfect!

This is one of the best bnb I ever stayed at! It's a huge two bed room cave apartment. Super clean with great characteristics, I felt like I was staying in a museum. The location was great as well and the host was very responsive. I would definitely love to stay here again!!

The property was in the perfect location to explore Matera. A moment’s walk from the spot where you are dropped off by the shuttle bus and at the base of the Sassi, it was easy to take luggage to the apartment. The property itself sits on street dotted with cafe’s, perfect for a morning cappuccino and cornetto and has a beautiful view of Sasso Caveoso from the master bedroom and the small terrace. (Sasso Caveoso is a great spot to watch the sunrise over Matera and houses a beautiful old church with Byzantine frescoes). Lovely restaurants can be found further up the road and exploring the rest of the town is very easy.
The apartment is decorated in a traditional style, one master bedroom with a beautiful fireplace and the other double bedroom, situated within the cavern portion of the apartment, which was cosy and had a real authentic feel of Matera.
The apartment had absolutely everything you needed, and additional items for your convenience within the COVID climate - sanitiser, gloves, hand sanitiser etc.
The owners of the property were meanwhile extremely helpful , informative and hospitable, and made the process of our stay so easy!
We will definitely be returning to Matera and will be booking this apartment again without hesitation!

A wonderful stay in the heart of Sassi, in a very well-kept and original house in the rock, in which the host's father lived with his parents as a child. Two beautiful bedrooms, one fully preserved in Sassi style, beautiful kitchen, attention to every detail, great atmosphere. The host is a classy, very obliging person. I'm gonna return there for sure!
