Staff, location, beach were all excellent
Overall this hotel was fine. But it could be so much better.
The family room that we stayed in, it was lovely in the main part but the second room for the kids didn't have air conditioning (not great when it is over 35c and you are trying to get your kids to sleep!)
Although it is all inclusive, the quality of the products they use are very poor. For example boxed wine, and only one type of lager. There is also no coffee machine in the hotel. Only Nescafe or bad filter coffee.
The hotel feels very restricted with times the food is available. Having 2 small children and having dinner only being served at 19:30 wasn't ideal. We actually went to a different hotel for our dinners so we could eat together at an earlier time. It feels like the hotel advertises itself as a 'family friendly' place but it doesn't full-fill. The hotel is basically geared for one type of customer - mainly older couples, which is fine and they do that very well.
I feel this hotel needs updating and offering more of a modern standard.
The reusable bottles of water in the room are a nice eco friendly option, but the bottles are very worn and would be so much nicer as glass bottles.
All of the buffets seems to take a while to get the food. The layout was frustrating and it resulted in you standing waiting for items that didn't need to be cooked to order, then your food going cold. Or bread would be one side and then anything to go on the bread was the other side of the room, this normally resulted in me giving up trying to find what we wanted.
Getting towels for the pool was never very clear where you needed to go.
The worst part of our holiday was not actually the hotel but the taxi that the hotel booked for our return journey to the airport. It was only just running and didn't have any air con. We got stuck at the river crossing and our smallest child overheated in the car while we were waiting.

Staff super friendly. Animation team were superb and tried to ensure that guest were involved and entertained.
Loved the evening entertainment, enjoyed water aerobics in the morning, beach bowling, Kudos to the animation team!
Pillows are rock solid. They have to use better quality pillows. That's the only complaint I have really everything was perfect.
Also might consider having to set of sheets, fitted and a flat sheet Diani is super hot and humid and giving guest an opportunity not to use a duvet on those super hot days but can opt for just a sheet. Most hotels in South Africa make their bedding like this, fitted and a flat sheet but I've seen Europe and other countries only include 1 sheet on a bed. This is more of a comment to consider and not a negative comment.

Good location, clean beach, friendly staff
(1) there is no spraying against insects - not safe for malaria hotspot. Room C1 was infested with mosquitoes - no idea where they come from as doors closed no windows, maybe through aircon or bathroom/toilet somehow. They got under mosquito net presumably through gap between two beds placed together - net should be over each bed to exclude this. Had to ask for spraying again and again and spent hours waiting. Yet it did not seem to help. In canteen flies are roaming around.
(2) I booked asking for seaview room (also to minimize exposure to bushes with mosquitoes etc) was told with upcharge at check-in could be possible. At check-in was offered to go see garden view and had to insist that I would see it only if seaview not available. Ended up spending half hour arguing and an hour waiting.
(3) number of lounge chairs at the water front (and their quality too - old rusty and can't sit up to read) for 200 guests is very low, I got up early so usually had one but they are taken from 5:30 am.
(4) there is many many many staff members but efficiency is not always correlated to the number, e.g. they enthusiastically nod and then do nothing... Although everyone (appears) nice and friendly.
(5) rooms have seen their better days...
(6) i am not a foodie but can see how what's on offer can get repetitive, had mildly upset stomach once
So, it depends what you pay. I paid USD 125 or so per night for all inclusive. Which is probably fine given that I booked first available thing last minute.

I liked the beach, it was nice
The receptionist guy was extremely rude and impolite. The manager is unprofessional and greedy

A lovely pool area right by the beach. The room was spacious with a hot shower. The food was all buffet style and was good, but not amazing. The staff were friendly and helped us arrange dinner at the nearby Ali Barbour Cave restaurant.

My son stayed and he was happy hakuna matata

The location
We were given a different room to the one we booked online, and given a lame excuse that the pictures were out dated. The online booking we chose, the room was nicer, more modern and had a balcony. The room we were assigned seemed dated and on the ground floor. The brown bathroom towels are very old and washed out.
The food rationing…The meals were clearly being rationed. It became very clear to us on the first day that the staff had strict instructions to ration the food. A staff member even shouted at me to NOT serve myself. We will definitely NOT be back.

The staff really made this hotel, from the people working hard to maintain the gardens to the those on reception. Everyone was polite, helpful and went out of the way to make it a pleasant stay. The location is excellent, opening onto the beautiful Diani Beach.
This hotel provided a vegetarian option, I also appreciated the unlimited amount of drinking water the hotel provided.
The older rooms are looking a little jaded but have all the amenities you need for your stay.

The place is good, vicinity to the beach, all inclusive provided on time, food well cooked and served in plenty. Rooms well cleaned.
Provide slippers, refill bathing shampoo on time. One staff talk to us strangely when asked for water, 'wake up and draw from the dispenser' but the rest of the staff are wonderful especially Kennedy, we loved his service.

We loved how clean the property, restaurant and our room was. The staff works very hard and is extremely welcoming and works very hard to keep everything very nice.
we stayed in C10 and the room was nice and overlooking the sea but the bed was very uncomfortable. the mattresses and sheets and pillows all need to be updated. it’s really the only thing preventing us from
coming back.

I had to pay for the total stay although I was not on a packagestay. As my granddaughter, who staid with us, time back to school was changed, we needed to return to Nairobi one day early. To my total surprice we were refused any return of our payment. Tried to contact the mgr but he was not available. In general the reception personell was not very freindly or proffesionell. These comments reflects my ratings above. With a better handling of our requests by the reception the rating would have been conciderably better.

The localization is good, great beach and near the Diani aiport
Old installation and poor hygiene (too many flies)

Hospitality, proximity to the ocean, well organised self contained rooms that are spacious and the all inclusive aspect that puts you to a stress free mood of enjoying your holiday.
When you enter the premise you are all sorted.
