What a find! The hotel is 16th century and stunning architecture. We booked a bigger room , 312, for the two of us. It was lovely. Spotlessly clean. Dual aspect windows with a gorgeous view over the drive and fountain from the front and historical buildings from the side. Original cast iron fire insert and lovely panelling. The bathroom was modern and well appointed with a long bath and separate shower cubicle. Bed was super comfy, we had a great nights sleep. The lighting options were, literally, brilliant. (A bug bare of my husbands is poor lighting. He was very impressed with how good the lighting was in our room). Excellent value for money. We stayed in the Cotswolds last week. The hotel was not a patch on this one and 3 times the cost. If you want to experience some genuine history, this is the place. The reception team was so welcoming and friendly. Best experience I've had in a hotel for a long time. Thank you.
Everything was great.

The approach to Castle Bromwich Hotel is gorgeous, my wife and daughter fell in love with the place straight away and were eager to explore and read about it's history.
Every member of staff I met was extremely polite and dressed smartly and nothing seemed too much trouble, we were out for the evening so didn't have an evening meal here but going by the menus there seemed plenty to choose from and at very reasonable prices.
We got back to the hotel around midnight and there were still plenty of staff around to tend to our needs but we went straight to our room (318) to relax and go to bed, even though it is on the flight path for Birmingham airport as soon as my head touched that VERY comfortable pillow I was out like a light!
I don't think I've ever slept in a comfier bed, I'm usually a light sleeper but not that night.
After waking fully refreshed we headed down to breakfast, we had a choice of tables which were all very neatly laid out and as soon as we were seated we were given a good choice of beverages.
As soon as my daughter realised this was a buffet style breakfast there was no stopping her, the hot food both smelled and tasted fantastic but there was also so much more to choose from, everything from yogurts and fresh fruit to pastries and cereals and also some gluten free options which I was especially pleased with.
After a walk around the gardens to work off our breakfast we popped back to our room and enjoyed a lovely complimentary cuppa whilst packing our bags.
This really is a beautiful place to stay and we will hopefully be back again very soon.
Not a single thing!

Nice and quiet hotel with cosy room and comfy bed. The setting and gardens are beautiful. The location is great not far from the motorway, so travel in any direction is easy. Didn’t sample the food unfortunately, but it certainly looked good.
Nothing all good

The building itself is beautiful and the room was a good size, accessible for what we needed.
The fire alarm went off twice and the staff said this was due to the shower being used. The room was cold at night and the carpet and curtains stained.

Wasn't too sure as I arrived and drove through the housing estate. Then arrived and welcomed by very helpful, cheerful receptionist even at 10pm. Gorgeous comfortable room and bed, very grand with wood panelling. Lovely breakfast. Perfect overnight stay and would like to come back some time.
Felt a little unsure as I arrived to a dark, quiet place late at night.

It is hard to put into words the feeling you get when you walk into Castle Bromwich; although modernised for comfort and safety, it still remains true to the stmosphere of the building.
Check in was pleasant and we were able to get the accessible room we had booked, which was up a few steps but on the ground floor. For those in a wheelchair, there is a ramp available to get up these steps.
The room itself was lovely, with tea and coffee making facilities; on suite bathroom with heated floor and wet room style shower with shower chair. It was all very clean and comfortable.
We had a drink in the bar whilst staying, there was plenty of choice and although a touch above standard high street price - but you are staying in a castle after all. You have the option to pay at the bar or charge to room.
Breakfast was pleasant and cooked fresh on ordering. There was pleny of choice of cereals, pastries which were beautuful, and breads and spreads.
Check out was easy and quick. A lovely stay,
We didn't use the restaurant. It has a small menu with very few vegan/vegetarian options, and as I also have other dietary requirements we decieded to go elsewhere for our evening meal - so I am unable to comment on the actual quality of the food.
In the morning there was no plant-based milks out, but I'm assuming you need to request this in advance or something. As our trip was a last minute thing; I didn't special request this, as most places I have stayed had this as standard now.

House and its history are fascinating. Staff were excellent. Evening food was very good. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and tasty.
Facilities are a bit tired. Our room (Western) was OK but the bed was far too small. Bar prices are on the steep side.

I expected a better cleaner place . This needs updating carefully , more and better trained staff .
It needs lot of TLC .
Almost the whole place needs TLC which must be very difficult in this economic climate .
It could be turned into a beautiful place .

The quality of first impressions of a smile from reception, the room very comfortable,
The wonderful historic building gave an instant invitation to return.
I'm 6 ft and had to bend knees to enable me to use the toilet.
Brocken panels in the bedroom let the room down, and the rain shower head needed to have a joint shower to enable sanitary cleaning.
Be advised lift only to 1st floor, so baggage needed to be hand held to reach floors above 1st floor.

A beautiful, comfortable ancient house, well modernised but still with lots of character. in lovely grounds, with easy parking, good food and very friendly welcoming staff.
we’d been allocated a room on the second floor but when the receptionist saw my husband and his walking sticks, she upgraded us to a lovely room in the main house, easily accessed by the lift. such good service!
