400 years old Riad inside Marrakesh Medina walls - old city , the tailed flooring and bedroom, my bedroom don’t have any views, because don’t need I only use Riad for exploring and climbing Mount Toubkal high Atlas Mountains.

The accommodation was traditional and you experience the Marrakesh life and breakfast.

The guy who runs it tried to be very helpful
The owner has had the property for just 3 months and it shows, no attention to basic needs. I wish there had been some current reviews to see before booking.

Our host was really nice and helpful. He prepared us breakfast early in the morning when we had day trips and was there to answer any questions / queries whenever we had.
The bathroom was supposedly private bathroom but it was not connected to our room (we had to go out of the room to get to it) and there were other people on our floor who would see us go out in our towels and the host also used the same bathroom as us.

The riad host Anouar was incredibly helpful and friendly. He went to great lengths to make sure guests were comfortable and happy. I would highly recommend visiting and enjoy a stay here.
The first room was very small but without any problem, I was moved to somewhere bigger and more comfortable.

The location of the Riad would have been hard to find had Anwar not had come out to the parking area at bab doulah himself and accompanied me to the Riad. Not only that throughout my brief stay Anwar was always available and incredibly helpful in making sure I was comfortable and I had everything I needed; he went out of the way to get my cell phone package topped up, guided me to a nearby Spa and even guided me how to get to the Koutobia mosque. Also when I was leaving he helped me weigh my luggage several times while I packed and for that I am extremely grateful. Apart from that he also changed the bulbs in my room as he saw my disappointment when I checked in at the lack of proper light. In all you can always find a lot better accommodation, but you rarely find places where the staff/owners treat like family and are always available and happy to help you. The Riad itself was a typically traditional Riad and I really enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend. Also it was close to all famous attractions and the area it is at is the best place to shop for souvenirs as I found everything cheapest compared to everywhere else in Morocco. The breakfast was also really good that I was served at the beautiful rooftop :)
there was hot water in the shower but it ran out pretty quickly.

Good location of the Riad for airport transfer, which may arranged by the host. In general average looking Riad and rooms, but the value for money is OK.

poor cleaning of the room and bathroom, hot water lasted a few minutes

Really good Riad for it's cost I would advise anyone who sees this review to at least pay for an upgraded room the Riad had a few maintenance issues but it was ultimately fixed in the end, don't cheap out. I had an excellent room it's was the Bahia Double Room it was good enough for me, spacious with its own bathroom. Unlike my friend I was traveling with he opted for the smaller option for just a bit less than I had payed, he received a room with a smaller bed and no bathroom attached and was forced to use the second public floor bathroom.
Spend a bit more 👍

Location great.
Bathrooms needed updates and could be cleaner. No wifi on the top floor. Noisy at 2 in the morning with guests arriving. Not a great value for money, for a few extra dollars you can get a more updated place.

The Riad was small and very beautiful. Especially the stuff is amazing there. Also the terrace ist nice. Thank you so much Aisha! It was a pleasure meeting you.
The WIFI wasn't the best in the room, but if you don't need to work online its fine.

The lights in the bedroom. Yet to find a place with a soft lighting.

Aicha is really nice and helpful and the beds were comfortable.
The problem is that Maison Aicha is a Homestay and that doesn’t seem clear enough when you do the reservation, then, when you arrive you find out that the bathroom is outside the room and is shared with other guests and also you don’t have a key of the room either the entrance door. Another thing we didn’t like was that paying the same as you will pay in a proper Riad with all the facilities running in perfect conditions here in Aicha’s place we didn’t have included breakfast… In my opinion it doesn’t deserve the price they ask for it.

Well, the location is central if you want to visit Marrakech. We paid extra for breakfast and it was generous. When we entered the room we found a plate of fresh fruits and roses petals on the bed, it was cute. The housekeeper (whose name is also Aicha apparently) was very kind and helpful, thank you to her as we didn't have the chance to say goodbye.
(BAD 1/2) How to start ... First, this riad is a homestay, so you live with Aicha and her mother, you don't have a key to enter when you want and it's very noisy until late as they're living on the first floor that is opened. You can hear day and night sounds from everybody who's minding their business in the building (chatting, eating but also showering and bathroom everything...). Basically, you don't have any privacy at all.
The room is very DARK, NOT CLEAN, with a lot of dust and small, not in a good global state. The bathroom is dirty, we saw COCKROACHES, everything is very HUMID and MOLDY and not ventilated at all, our towels couldn't dry and everything was smelling bad. The water doesn't run properly, you don't have hot water unless you're lucky and there is mold.
You cannot eat breakfast early, Aicha asked us the first night what time we wanted to have our breakfast in the morning, we asked 8 am as we wanted to spend the day outside and start visiting early. She said 8:30 and we had to wait until 9 am. We had to whisper while eating as someone was sleeping in the main area beside where we took breakfast.
(BAD 2/2)
Aicha was very welcoming on the first days until she organized for us a "spa", 55€ per person. She drove us to the place and tell us to get inside, that she had organized everything with the owner already and she left. The place wasn't the one she told us and show us in a video when I've ask about the name (if you are driven to "Oasis spa" or also called "asma bien être spa" just run !) and we were asked for double of this price. To make it short, just read comments on google about this place and you will understand why we run from there after they tried to SCAM US and SACRE US saying we cannot leave because we will not be able to find a taxi by ourselves. We came back to Maison Aicha (with a taxi), she apologized pretending this never happened before, that she always drives people and it was the first time this happened (I just read in the comments here that the same thing happened already with an other host). After that we never heard from her anymore for the last days of our stay, she even left on the day we checkout without telling us anything and we had to give the key to a new man we didn't know.
The tv doesn't work. Wifi is not available everywhere and it was not working for an entire day. Globally it's very dark and not ventilated. It's very noisy, and again the shower is dirty, moldy, and not functional with just a little water running.
Definitely, the description and the service don't match, it's far too expensive for a homestay where you are a scam target and not just a host.

you should know that you are renting a room not a whole apartment, no privacy, the door lock was broken, the beds were not clean at all they had blood spots in them, no products for hygiene, very small room definitely not worth the price, you live with other people in the same building
Don’t book !
you should know that you are renting a room not a whole apartment, no privacy, the door lock was broken, the beds were not clean at all.
they had blood spots in them, no products for hygiene, very small room definitely not worth the price,
if you wanna go out, you should adapt your schedule with the reception so they can open the door for you.
if you are a maniac, you definitely won’t like the old smell in the room, it smells like other peoples skin, the sheets were not clean.
you live with other people in the same building, although the stuff were really kind and welcoming.

it's a traditional Morocco house and the decoration is beautiful. the light creats a nice atmosphere! the host is also very nice people!
the house has an open space to all the rooms so sometimes the voice from reception can be heard in my room. besides the hot water need a lot of time to get from the shower head. and the lock is bad so the key is no use
