Tyrone and Neil were the perfect hosts, really warm and welcoming. The room was spotless and super comfortable and they’d thought of everything you might need for a lovely stay. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice. Loved it!

Neil and Tyrone were the perfect hosts - friendly, helpful and accommodating. I came off the moor after a 2 day wet and muddy hike, having fallen in a river 3 times, and within minutes I felt like a little prince - supplied with slippers, homemade lemon drizzle cake and a hot bath! Very comfortable room and a great breakfast, I really could not have asked for more.
Nothing, it exceeded all my expectations.

Clean, tidy and very tasteful modern décor reflective of the Exmoor culture.

Full of character, and beautifully presented by Tyrone and Neil. The room was extremely comfortable, stylish and well-appointed with super attention to detail. I’ve stayed in many hotels and B and Bs and have to say that Myrtle Cottage is right up there! Hosts Tyrone and Neil were so friendly and the breakfast was fab!

Really friendly hosts made us feel welcome and were very helpful recommending local eating places and places to visit. The cottage was super clean and super comfortable.
situated on what was at times a very busy road.

great breakfast, cooked with care. we enjoyed our discussions with Neil and Tyrone and their advices about hikings and buses around. and Porlock is charming place, not too busy .., at least when we were there
I am allergic to carpets, I should have said before. however, this is general with Booking, who never gives this information

Breakfast was delicious every morning, we all enjoyed what we ate.
It was perfect and wish we had stayed longer.

The breakfast was amazing. Both Tyrone and Neil were fantastic hosts and made us all very welcome. They provided lots of little extras such as a piece of cake on arrival, treats for our dog and on the day of leaving they washed the front windscreen of our car which was really unexpected.
I can’t fault anything

This historic cottage and garden was beautiful, set in the heart of Porlock village. Tyrone and Neil were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, and they catered to our special requests with no hesitation. We needed to eat breakfast and leave early for the South West Coast ultra marathon, and they willingly served us our porridge breakfast earlier than usual. The cottage was spotless and well kept. Tall people need to beware of low ceilings, but if you like character in a B&B this is the place for you!
Parking was quite tricky at the rear of the property due to the position of the spaces in the driveway, but with careful maneuvering we were grateful to have a space on site.

Great B&B. Tyrone and Neil are great hosts and have done a fantastic job of refurbishing the guest house and doing the garden. Really well furnished, clean and comfortable and a good breakfast. Really good location for walks on the coast path or Exmoor. The village is well serviced with pubs, convenience stores and cafes. As well as walking we spent time at Porlock Weir, Dunster and the castle there and Cleve Abbey. Lots to do in the area. Will definitely return, wish I could have stayed longer.
There was nothing I didn't like about it !

Breakfast lovely, cottage clean and beautiful, but most of all, our hosts were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble, we and our dogs were made to feel incredibly welcome. And the little extra touches were amazing.
The cottage is so central for the village.

A gorgeous property ideally located in the heart of Porlock. Comfortable, well-appointed rooms and generous, accommodating hosts make this an ideal place to stay for short or longer breaks.

Fantastic in every way. Comfortable room and bed. Delicious breakfast. Parking. Beautiful garden for guest use. Hosts most welcoming and friendly. A quality B&B for sure.

I had a great stay here. The room was incredibly cosy. The owners were very friendly and I felt very welcome. The location is A+, with a shop a minute away in one direction and a pub a minute away in the other. I was able to leave my car and hike to Exmoor National Park and Dunkery Beacon on foot straight from the accommodation. The breakfast was great too. If you can get a room here I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Warm welcome, attention to detail, lovely furnished an Great location

The welcoming and caring personality of Tyrone (co-owner) who was having to deal with everything singlehandedly during our stay as Neil (the other co-worker) was ill. Our room was very comfortable and even though it was at the front of the cottage the passing traffic went unnoticed. Tyrone produced a very good breakfast on both days, everything nicely cooked and well presented.
We felt the warmth and welcome was natural, which is always a good sign, and there was a genuine need to please.
4.8
We had a wonderful stay, some lovely attention to details, swapping our muddy boots for slippers, cake and fudge in the room, nothing was too much trouble. Felt very spoilt and taken care of, wonderful breakfast too. A lovely night on our South West Coast Path adventure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Excellent full English breakfast with a choice of 5 or 6 cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc etc. Fantastic!
Tyrone and Neill are excellent hosts and gave us probably the warmest welcome I have ever experienced at a hotel or B&B.
The room with en-suite was comfortable and a good size for an old building, full of little touches that show that the owners really care about their guests.
Nothing.

A really characterful old cottage in a great location.
