private, minimarket close by, not so hot since it’s covered by trees, private beach entrance on the quiet side of the beach, restaurant with ok priced meals and good food, the dogs on this property are the loveliest dogs around and will accompany you basically anywhere around the area if you want them to<3
breakfast had some room for improvement - only coffee, eggs and bread then banana when we asked for fruit (which i don’t eat sry)

Lokatie is dicht bij het strand. Er zijn nog een aantal (vervallen) strandbedjes - de staff verzorgd matras om op te liggen.
Ontbijt (inbegrepen) en dinner was coordinated by Aisa (?) and served with a smile. Simple but good.

Prachtige ligging ruime kamer.
Geen koelkast, geen haakjes om je badhanddoek op te hangen of een afvalbakje. Geen handdoeken en geen stoel om buiten te zitten voor je huisje.

It was lovely to meet other travellers at the bar and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was good.
The beach is very close, and outside the bar is a beautiful area to relax .
The bed was not comfortable. It had a huge lump in the middle, fortunately I was on my own, so I manged. The bathroom had no door, again no problem as I was on my own. There were no chairs outside on.the veranda, and I had to sit on the doorstep. All is fine if you don't expect anything luxuriously..but I thought for the price was a bit high considering.

I had a wonderful time here. Was originally planning to stay 1 night, and ended staying 4, and would have spent a few more, no doubt. Lamin has created a great resort and atmosphere with an excellent team, mainly family. His daughter Aisha is a great cook, you will enjoy the breakfast, far over average, or any of the dishes they serve in the big and nice restaurant area. The bungalows are clean, well isolated from each other, and very comfortable. I had amazing rest, as you are not close to the road or noisy places-- yet walking distance to a convenience store in the road and easy to get to the town by bike. The sleeping is exceptional, as the resort is also front-beach, and all you hear at night is the sound of the waves. The beach is beautiful, clean and very well kept by the team, and has a few umbrellas and hammocks for the guests. I enjoyed there amazing sunsets, baths and naps. There are great walks nearby that you can explore around: Gunjur if you go North; Kartong, if you go south, I recommend both. Ask Lamin if you want ideas to explore the area (or others), he gave me great advice to find some of the best highlights in my 1 month trip in Senegal and Gambia. In all: comfortable place in every sense, highly recommended.

The staff was friendly and caring about us
We went during the off-season and the lodge was totally different to what is shown in Booking or their website. The beach of the hotel was full of garbage and the hammocks were broken, the lodge was not clean enough and there were insects and termites inside the room. It is true that the lodge is in the middle of nature but no care was taken to the room’s preparation. We were not expecting luxury but at least basic cleaning, and some attention on our comfort from the staff. We were the only tourists in the area and all beach bars and lodges were closed so there was not a lot to do. We decided to cancel one of the nights there.

The place is very quiet and the location what you see on the picture is what you are getting it's very quiet simple and natural you are far from everything but you also come that you relax.
Those only two things they should be putting light into the first where the cabins are so you can see the roads it's very dark My husband could get afraid and the breakfast was not exceptional it could have been better maybe a little change then it will be good.

Very nice and helpful owner, round houses well apart from each other in a well kept garden with good paths. The very quiet beautiful beach and sea just next to the garden by a private gate. Plentiful breakfast and meals of your choice in a large round decorative eating area. Everywhere kept very tidy. Peaceful surroundings with the colourful birds.

The manager of the lodge are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the meal is wonderfull. The beach is great. It was usefull that we could rent some bikes. The prices were fine. To sleep in a round house was a good experience. The houses have a private situation in a nice surrounding.

The location was good, right next to the beach and close enough to the town and river. The breakfast was great!
The pictures are definitely from a long time ago… it looks very run down compared to how it is now. It would be better to represent it honestly to avoid disappointment.
There were empty boxes of condoms on the shelf in the bathroom, only one quilt had a duvet cover and the other had holes in it, stained pillow cases, the sponge for the sun beds were not present at the beach and 2 available at the restaurant had covers but smelt bad, 2 just the raw sponge, loads of litter at the beach and staff playing football and chilling with friends rather than doing anything about it…
It could be so nice, but it needs work.

Wifi in the restaurant was good and Aisha at reception is amazing. Communication was great and lodge management was very flexible with our booking. The place is quite and very close to a very beautiful beach.
Food menu could be improved to offer more dining options

The property is surrounded by nature. Nice cool breeze from the sea and woken up by the beautiful sounds of different kinds of birds.
Unfortunately the electric didn’t work so I could not iron or use a hairdryer. Although the owner allowed us to iron in the restaurant the electric still didn’t work. The property is in need of some maintenance.

This is a very well located place right next to a beautiful beach. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. The beach is one of the best we have seen in The Gambia and Senegal. Very quiet and relaxing. Pleasantly cool due to the sea breeze. Part of the profit goes towards supporting local education and health facilities. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Only 45-60 mins drive from Banjul airport. Public transport also available.
Rooms are a little basic but they are improving them.

Tamba is a quiet lodge right at the beach. A nature spot with a big garden. About 40min walking along the beach and you will reach the village. You can also rent a bicycle or flag down any cars passing by on the road. The village people are very friendly and happy to see you around. Make sure to stop at Sambous restaurant runned by Adama. Most delicious food in Gambia and made with love!
The water pressure was very low. Difficult to take a proper shower. Often there was no electricity in the morning
