Great time, great location. The house was clean but needs some general maintenance. We would stay there again!

False advertising! The main floor fireplace didn’t work, the downstairs had no heat and that fireplace wreaked of gas. The floors needed sanding 10 years ago. The house is not at all maintained. The master tv didnt work. Christmas decor was still up in Feb even though I requested them to come down beforehand. The views were beautiful and location was great. Wouldn’t return. The house could be great with proper maintenance

I would like to start with wow what a beautiful view, the location and accessibility of all the surrounding attractions was exceptional. Layout of the home was wonderful for a family to enjoy each other company. Now that being said, we had disappointments in the qualifying and upkeep of the home. To start, the flooring on the main floor looks nothing like the pictures, it is rundown. One of the sofas on the main floor is so rundown that repair is done with the piece of tape. The outdoor decks are full of mold and urgently need pressure cleaning. The gas grill is almost unusable. Handles in one of the bedroom dressers were broken. The washing machine had wet towels left inside causing moldy odors. The balance of the heating was impossible to control. We suggest that these items be addressed before renting to next person

Even know it raind all weekend there was plenty of things to keep us all busy in the house.

We stay in 7-D frequently- this was our most favorite stay! Amazing views! Good space for family in the house. Great gathering spaces for playing games, eating together and watching football. Fun was had by all!

Celebrating my daughter's graduation along with several family members from all around the state. We loved the large areas to visit and catch up. The deck was a hit with beautiful views. Very pleased with the complete kitchen included everything we needed to cook with. Plenty of room.
We were a little disappointed in the fire pit area. The top of a tree had fallen across part of the seating and the area was grown up around it. I did call upon arriving Thursday to ask about getting a weedeater . A man showed up Saturday and confirmed it needed mowing. We did start a fire but family not comfortable with sitting in the overgrown area.
Overall everyone was delighted with the home and the experience.

Overall this is a nice, large cabin in a great area. It’s close to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, the blue ridge parkway, and all the trails. Nice view of Grandfather Mountain. The kitchen is nice, but some dishes were dirty and didn’t have some things we needed. The bedrooms are nice and big and bathrooms are nice. We have stayed in this cabin 5 years ago and it definitely needs some TLC. The couches on the main floor are torn with holes in the seats. The basement TV doesn’t work at all. The pool sticks are unusable because they didn’t have the tips on them. A little disappointing we couldn’t really do much in the basement. Hot tub is nice. The other very strange thing is it’s April and the whole place is still decorated for Christmas (inside and outside). There is even a Christmas tree up still. The fire pit had huge tree branch fallen on it and lots of debris. We had to clean it up and clear things before we could use it. The driveway also had a huge hole in it that made it difficult to drive on, but once it’s fixed it should be fine.
We would probably stay here again, but it was a lot better experience 5 years ago when we were here.

This cabin was easy to find, immaculately clean, and the beds were sooooo comfy. Also, to be a pet friendly rental, I was so impressed with how clean this cabin was! My only gripe would be they still had Christmas decorations out and this is March. We were celebrating my daughter’s sweet 16 on St. Patrick’s Day so the Christmas decor wasn’t cute with my decor! Other than that, this place was so perfect and we will be back!

A great mountain stay, perfectly located to slopes and attractions
4.6
The common spaces were spacious and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked. Christmas decorations were still up in February, which was quirky. The upstairs was almost too warm from the fireplace heat settling up at the top. The basement was surprisingly spacious and seemed perfect for a family with kids. The top bunk had a thin pad, which wasn't comfortable.
It's a great house, and some of us considered coming back with our families.

This place was immaculate! Everything was super clean and matched the description and photos accurately! Spoke to Chris with Foscoe realty twice and she was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. Lovely bringing the pups along! Definitely staying again :)

We have stayed at many different houses. This one is our favorite by far!! Very clean and lots of fun!! EXCELLENT views! Family time at its best!!

Modestly decorated for Christmas, the cabin was clean and in a good location. The listing is accurate about the very steep driveway, which is shared with another property further up an even steeper driveway.
The cabin is well used, and very well stocked on blankets and kitchen items. It was hard to get a balance of temperature on all 3 floors, but we worked it out. The views from all the windows are stunning.
I would definitely stay here again!

House and views were even nicer than the photos. Property was clean and wells stocked with towels, dishes etc.

The home had everything we needed. The location was perfect.

This cabin was very nice. Nice layout that let everyone spread out. Very comfortable beds except one mattress on the trundle bed needs replacing because it is flat and bumpy.
Nice that there are gates on the porch to keep pets or small kids contained. Gorgeous view of a grandfather mountain. Convenient location. It is well insulated and the rooms are quiet. I have stayed in cabins before where you could hear everyone in the entire place but this one is very quiet and private. There are plenty of sitting areas with TVs but It would have been nice to have a TV in the living space by the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome cabin in a great location . Checking in and out was a breeze. We will be back!

Lovely place, great view. My family really enjoyed staying here. Looking forward to staying with foscoe rentals again!

House was decorated for Christmas, great views, close proximity to skiing, fly fishing, shopping. House had everything we needed and plenty of room. There were even some toys for children.

We had an amazing time at this house. Yes the driveway is a little steep getting up but well worth it! The hot tub was amazing as well. My family and friends that accompanied us all had a blast. Highly recommend and we’d def go back!
4.6
Overall this house is a fantastic lay out & the hot tub is amazing. My only feedback is that all of the beds are pretty uncomfortable. This would be a perfect house if a little love was put into the mattresses. There are fans and noise makers which is fantastic for having kids in the house. Be warned in the winter you need a 4 wheel drive. It is a rough drive up!

My husband and I go on a cabin trip every year with our close friends, and this property was easily one of my favorites! The location was 15 minutes to Sugar Mountain, which was the primary purpose of our weekend ski trip. The master bed was very comfortable, the hot tub was the nicest of any cabin we've ever stayed in, and the common area was expansive and beautiful. The small details really added up, too. I have been to plenty of rental properties that have inadequate kitchen supplies, but this one had every pot, pan, and utensil we needed. I really appreciate this kind of thing in large rental homes because cooking for that many people requires a lot! Check-out was at 10am, but we were able to call and they were happy to extend it to 12pm for us. Finally, we always look for a pet friendly place, and their pet fee was so reasonable! I have large dogs that are incredibly well behaved, but so many places have weight limits or charge an astronomical fee per dog. It was such a plus for us that it was a flat fee and no weight limit to the pet. And on top of that, you could never once tell that it was a "pet friendly" property by its state of cleanliness. Hands down would recommend to anyone, and we would certainly return here again!
4.6
We just left and are already talking about when we can go back! The house is perfect for a family with plenty of space to spread out in different living and leisure areas. It has all the amenities you need to feel cozy and at home. The one suggestion for improvement would be to have a keypad for check in like most rentals do. But with the exception of that one suggestion, we think it was absolutely perfect.
4.6
Plenty of room for everyone! Stocked well. Enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table!
4.6
We stayed for 3 nights/4 days and I wish I had booked it for longer! We LOVED the property, the views from the living room and bedrooms. It was easy to get to, close to great restaurants and hiking! Recommend highly for a family
4.6
House was very nice however the upstairs fireplace would not turn on and the instructions provided were generic and not for that specific gas fireplace. Directions to pick up the keys in the welcome packet weren’t very clear and I recommend that those be reviewed and corrected. Picking up keys at the rental business wasn’t bad however having a drop box at the property would be much more convenient to the renters, especially on check out. We left on time however received a call 30 minutes after check out because our keys weren’t brought back yet so I guess if checkout is at 10, you have to head straight to drop off the keys instead of exploring the area or getting a bite to eat first. If you have AT&T, you will have no service once you’re on the mountain, which isn’t bad, however you will miss calls from the rental company like we did. All in all, home was nice and we would definitely be back with our family. Slight modifications needed for guest comfort but all in all, great rental.

Great: Views, space, location, quiet, hot tub, WiFi
Okay: Appliances aged and tired, refrigerator leaks from water supply, decks & floors need TLC, furniture is worn and tired (but comfortable)
Less than okay: TV's (4) all had three controls--very complicated configuration, all controllers needed batteries--which we purchased. The TV's would be more usable with video (Roku/Apple TV streaming.
Questionable: The driveway to the home got worse over the 30 days we spent. Using it was a bit like "off-roading" in the mountains.

We had an awesome time here. The house seemed much bigger than the pictures. The kitchen had all the tools/pots/pans/glasses you could possibly need! The hot tub was so nice and the view was amazing. There is a little stream right next to the house and a lake and mountain view from the deck. The driveway was STEEP and gravel. Hard to get up, but we had one honda camry that made it up fine, just a bit sketchy. There were so many games and activities in cabinets to be played. Water pressure sucks, it was really hard to do dishes. Also had issues with trying to run both showers at once as when the downstairs one was turned on the upstairs one would shut off, but this wasn't a big deal, just had to plan accordingly. Dog friendly, our pups loved it! The upper deck had gates on it so our dogs could go out there and were enclosed. We will definitely be back!

We can't say enough good things about this cabin. The view is beautiful, it's quiet, there are TONS of fun books/games for kids, a well-appointed kitchen, a fun pool table, hot tub, close to trails...I could go on and on but this was a such a worthwhile investment in quality family time during a crazy election week and we plan to return again next year with another family! Highly recommend.
