The property was divine and just out of the busy part of cangu so peaceful and surrounded by all villas so felt safe too
I was travelling with my two daughters so this was important to me and cost only $3-4 to grab a taxi into town so not an issue at all
The property and surroundings were maintained beautifully by Augus our butler
With 20 years in hospitality he was a credit to the property
Nothing was a problem for him as he would clean ,cut fruit platters change our beds and change towels he was like a team but only one
He even cooked for us dinner dishing up and laying the table like at a restaurant
It was also wonderful having three large bedrooms for us all with ensuite so we could all stretch out and keep our things neat
It was a beautiful place and kept very clean and modern

Veluvana is a great place to relax if you prefer to stay a bit outside the crowded streets of Canggu but want to be still close enough to visit the restaurants and shops there. Renting a scooter is recommended.

The villa itself is fabulous. 3 room (1K2Q) with private toilet eachroom and pool. Living hall is spacious comes with kitchen full equipment. What we like the body it's the butler. He's so kind and helpful with all your needs. He will prepare breakfast for you too, If you request. Never seen a better butler fella than him
Cleaning service is daily with dobi equipped
Since it's Bali with alot of greenery. At night, during rainy season, will be some bugs but it's not harmful.
Traffic is not good in canggu. So plan ahead 1hr of whatever you have

-We really liked villa location once we arrived as it was quieter and away from the hustle and bustle of the main area in Canggu. Possible to walk to Batu Balong beach but hot and tiring! Taxi ride only 10 minutes to main beach/shops/restaurants/bars. Neighbours Cafe (excellent coffee and breakfast options) and Tony's Pizzas just at end of our drive - very handy. Koin Cafe within easy walking distance. Grab and Gojek delivery options were plentiful.
-Our butler, Putu, was a real asset to the villa. He was very helpful and did his best to fix the maintenance problems which arose during our stay. We will miss him and his lovely smile!
-The villa itself was perfect for us (except for a couple of issues). The lay-out gave both couples privacy but also a communal area to gather. Loved it. Plentiful kitchen equipment (no microwave but never missed). Comfortable beds with mosquito nets and aircon in bedrooms.
-Lovely pool area and garden. A highlight was having a pond of Koi carp and a turtle by the boardwalk.
-We were delighted to discover that the villa did look like the photos in booking.com which a previous reviewer had suggested was not the case. We felt safe.
-Long journey in stop/start traffic from airport to Canggu due to timing of arrival. Many heading for sunset at Tanah Lot Temple which was located near our villa. Traffic is VERY busy as no public transport and masses of motorbikes/scooters so touring by road takes time.
-Aspects of villa had suffered from lack of maintenance which Putu was aiming to put right. Main issue was electricity tripping when it rained overnight. This happened five out of seven nights which meant that the aircon in our bedrooms went off. Outside cabling was replaced during our stay (luckily on a day when we were out!). So hopefully worst is over!
-No aircon in main lounge/dining/kitchen; only way to cool was overhead fan and having doors open.
-Only one parasol at poolside so could shade either the table or the sunbeds. Only 2 sunbeds not 4 (though there was a comfortable day bed with roof which compensated). Putu told us some replacements were expected.
-Lastly, and not something which the hosts can control, the villa is near rice fields and we discovered the farmers burn the stalks at certain times of the year. Billowing smoke covered our villa twice that week, both times we were trying to relax by the pool. We rushed to shut the doors to the main living area, but it was smoky for a good while as was our bathroom which was partially open air. So, be aware.

Security and the location was a huge letdown. we had to cut our stay short due to safety concerns after we had an intruder on our 3rd night at the villa. My young family was very traumatized after the event. The villa did provide security afterwards but we didn’t go on holiday to be under 12 hour security and padlocked gates so felt it best if we moved to a different location.
The villa has refused to refund any money for the remainder of the 7 days we were supposed to be there. Due to their failings of ensuring customer safety, I feel some compensation should be in order.
We also had constant power outages during our stay, mostly during the night which further scared our children.
The location is terrible, nothing of note with in walking distance, so taxis are a must but the traffic in Canggu is an absolute nightmare and no pavements around the streets.
We have been going to Bali for 12 years and this is without doubt the worst villa and worst location we have been to.
The villa looks very different from the pictures which left us very deflated when we arrived so be very careful when deciding.
