This home is only a short 6 min walk away from a public beach access known to few locals and it offers the feel and serenity of a private beach. A short 7 min walk in the opposite direction is the Matanzas River with boat ramp access for all of your water toys and a nice dock to enjoy stunning sunset views over the river where you can take in the splendor of natures amenities.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded.
Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
EV Charging: There is a fee of $5 per day if you will be charging an electric vehicle at the home.

My husband and I stayed at this property for Labor Day weekend. We left the kids at home so we only used the kitchen, master bedroom & bathroom, laundry room, and screened-in porch. We spent the majority of our time outside in the pool. Comfortable pool temp and very private. We used the hot tub a couple times and it gets hot quick.
Kitchen was nice. There is a regular coffee pot so bring grounds but the last person there left us both filters and coffee so you might get lucky too.
We Doordashed Piesano’s and Whataburger and both were ok. We ate at Baitong Thai Sushi, which we do recommend.
We never went to the beach but it’s not far. You can easily walk in less than 10 minutes with all your stuff.
House needs a bit of updating and fixing up but it’s priced well so it wasn’t anything we couldn’t look past. Overall a great place to stay and we’d return.

Myself, my wife and son stayed. It was my son’s 19th birthday so we took a long weekend and we fished and went sightseeing. House was nice everything as described. Great communication. Would stay again

Overall the house was better than the listed pictures, it provided enough space for our party and the back yard was great. Any question I asked was responded to quickly and I would stay again.

Outdoor area was great. House could use a deep cleaning. Cupboards and drawers were full of crumbs, sticky spots on floor, bathrooms of small things that just added up to

We had the best time at Island Time! Very clean, Beautiful, and suited our family perfectly. We loved having the pool and hot tub. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay in this house. The outdoor space was the highlight. The kids enjoyed the pool and the covered seating was great for reading outside. The house is spacious and everything was clearly labeled. Access to the beach was super easy and we enjoyed going to Kookaburra for coffee each morning.
We did noticed that many of the light fixtures were very dusty. The house provides pool/beach towels but they are very thin. If you are in driving distance you might prefer to bring your own. Overall we really enjoyed the house.

Nice property. very convenient to beach and pool was great. At some point in time I would replace the grill.

Greatly enjoyed our time at “Island Time Beach Retreat.” Close enough to the beach to walk when up to it, but the proximity to vehicle beach access is too good to pass up! Groceries and food less than two blocks away, plus any local restaurant you could ask for within 15 minutes. Throw in the private pool to hop into at a moment’s notice, and an excellent time was inevitable for all of our group. The hosts were very proactive and responsive for whatever concern or need one might have needed. Fantastic overall!

Very nice layout for families with a big group. Multiple beds and bedrooms super spacious. Pool is perfect for all sizes even the little ones that can’t swim yet.

We wanted a relaxing weekend for two families to spend some time together at the beach. This house was a perfect get-away. There was plenty of space. Keep in mind in your planning that this is a 4 bedroom house. As shown in the photos, the fifth "bedroom" is a sofa bed in a dining room. Fine to sleep in, but not a private bedroom.
We had middle aged adults down to older teenagers. All found something to do. The Dads immediately found a place in the covered couch spot outside next to the pool. The teens enjoyed playing games in the heat of the day and going to Saint Augustine Old Town in the evening. The Mom's communed in the living room. And, everyone went to the beach in the mornings.
The pool and hot tub looked lovely, but we didn't go in because the beach was only 5 minutes away! The closest beach entry point is walkable, but we drove and parked because we had things to carry with us. A short drive down the road is Crescent Beach with a few amenities, like bathrooms.
All ages had their space, had fun and we achieved our goal of a fully relaxing weekend.

It was our first time at a Florida beach and a chance to get the family back together after a year spread out across the country due to college. The house was more spacious than it appeared from the pictures so plenty of room for a family with adult children. The back yard was an oasis all its own. The beach and ocean were so inviting and an added bonus of being able to drive on the beach made it easy to set up for the day. We even saw a sea turtle come up on the beach at night during a midnight stroll! The location of the property made it ideal as so many options for activities, sight seeing, food, and shopping within such a short driving distance. Would definitely book again!

We had a wonderful time at this beach retreat. It was not far from the beach and the private pool was amazing. The house had enough space for us all to spread out and enjoy our time as well.

Great access to beach. Loved the pool and sauna. Check in was very easy. It was close to grocery stores and restaurants. The house was well set up. The only negative I would say is that the A/C was not cool enough at night. It only went down to 72 degrees, which was fine during the day, but a little warm at night. However, we are from Ohio and are used to the cooler nights.

We had a nice relaxing time went to nearby Matanzas Inlet a few miles up the road with our children. We went swimming and paddleboarding there and it is simply gorgeous. We came back to the house and relaxed and enjoyed our time. The pool and hot tub and lounge chairs made it feel like a nice private vacation spot. Beautiful home

This home was thoughtfully decorated and extremely clean. The home has the most fully equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental! I was very impressed by the spices, utensils, and gadgets available for cooking or even baking. The beds were very comfortable, and the pool was perfect! We drove over to the beach public parking, but it’s definitely easily walkable. There were board games available for us to play. Owner communicated promptly and they were very polite and respectful to us during our stay, always giving us a heads up when someone may be stopping by the property (like the pool technician). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return sometime in the future.

This was a great place to stay for a three day weekend. The neighborhood was quiet and 15 minutes from St. Augustine. There were also plenty of other things nearby to do. The home looks just like it is advertised in the pictures. The hot tub was a big hit for our group. (Just give it plenty of time to heat up.) The owners were accommodating and kind. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Island Time was just perfect. The home is well stocked with all that we needed. The bedroom setup was perfect. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the video instructions on turning on the spa made that part very easy. The pool area was so very relaxing and just what we all needed. The location with just a short walk over to the beach was perfect. Wonderful restaurants were nearby. I wouldn't change a thing!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay near Butler Beach. the property was a great retreat and we got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Easy walk to the beach for sunrises or to the intercoastal for sunsets.

Property was great, the pool was cold (December) but the hot tub was perfect. 5th bedroom is a dining room with pull-out sofa and french doors - this confused us initially but it worked out. Kitchen needs baking sheets. Washer and dryer are fast/awesome. Walmart and Amazon delivery were both available and quick. Great stay.

the property was very nice. the landscape and pool area was good. the only thing that had an issue with was the outside porch had tile and when wet it was very slippery. almost slipped and fell. not safe for seniors

Our family and friends came for a few days over Thanksgiving. They had everything we could have needed in the kitchen to make our Thanksgiving meal, even a crockpot, which was great! The proximity to the beach was great, just a short walk. About 20 min drive into downtown St. Augustine. The neighborhood is kind of your classic beach neighborhood, nothing too fancy but quiet and nice neighbors. The holiday traffic was nuts but we still enjoyed downtown and a boat tour. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi, all of the instructions were excellent.

This was our 2nd booking of this property. We love the layout of the home and of course the backyard and pool area. Walking distance to a cute little place to eat, the beach on St. Mary's is 2 minutes from the house, free parking and not crowded! The house is super clean and the communication with the hosts was amazing from start to finish.

House was clean and comfortable, we had a great time at the pool and walking to the beach. No complaints and looking forward to staying again.

Our group traveled to Florida in hopes of some rest and relaxation. There were 5 children ages 4-17 and there was plenty of space for them to play and for us to relax. The beds were comfortable and the pool/spa was just what we were looking for. We were able to easily get to the beach by walking. If unable to walk and carry items there are places to park or drive onto the beach within a short distance from the house. If traveling to St. Augustine, we would book again.

This place was awesome for our extended family vacation! There was more than enough room for 6 people and our little dogs. We didn't even use all the beds. It is beautifully furnished and met all our needs! The backyard is a absolute show stopper! The pool and hot tub were extremely clean and well maintained. It is a quick walk to the beach and everything else is a short drive away. The hosts were excellent and the communication was great! We had a great time and hated to leave!

This is a spacious home with a great pool and outdoor area. It was well maintained and well stocked for the most part. Our only complaints were that all of the beds were terrible. Every person in our party complained about the beds and how uncomfortable they were. So if you’re a person that needs a pillow top or memory foam mattress you’ll only find worn spring mattresses here.
The mosquitoes also tore us up, no fault to the rental for that but just be warned. Thankfully there was a Dollar General near by to purchase mosquito repellent.
Overall I’d say this is a nice place and if they upgrade their mattresses I’d stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the house and our stay. Made good use of the pill and got tub. Beach Access was just across the A1A. Shopping and restaurants close by. There is a chain of stores and a pub/restaurant right on the corner although we never did get the chance to eat there. Historic St. Augustine was just a short drive from the house, about 15 minutes. Our host was great and any questions we had were responded to quickly. Would definitely return!!

We really enjoyed our stay at your property! We wish we could of stayed longer, maybe next time a whole week! Grandkids loved the pool, hot tub, and we all enjoyed the roominess and our dog enjoyed being right with us!!!

We stayed with my daughter and her children. Didn’t pay extra to heat the pool, but it was perfect. Had breakfast at the house most days and dinner out. Nice kitchen. Loved the dining/sun room area for quiet reading.
10.0 / 10.0
My family of 5 stayed with my brothers family of 5. 6 Kids ranging from 2-10. This house had a FANTASTIC set up for having smaller kids. Our only “complaints” (if I would even call them that) would be 1. There is no tv in the gazebo like the photo shows (the men were disappointed for basketball but it was not a big deal). 2. the power in the whole house flickers whenever you start anything (washer, dryer, AC, dishwasher). We were surprised we never blew a fuse. 3. One of the bedrooms has been converted from a garage to a bedroom but it was very well done.
We did have one issue with the pool pump leaking but once we contacted David and Patti they were out within 30 min and had it fixed within 24 hours. It also didn’t affect our swimming. We were warned to keep the noise down in the emails - we had 6 kids, Played music outside (during the day and it wasn’t excessive) and we never had anyone complain about our noise.
The house is close to the beach and there is free beach parking which was fantastic. The screened in patio is so nice! All in all - we give this place a 10/10. Would 100% stay there again. Don’t overlook this property , it really was absolutely perfection for us.

Our vacation property felt like a home. Not a house, not a hotel. Very comfortable, very spacious. The spa was the perfect spot to end each day. Beautiful sunsets.
Butler Beach reminded us of the Isle of Palms when we were kids/teens. Laid back with family owned businesses and lots of locals.
Short drive to grocery, gas, restaurants. And putt putt! Nice easy stroll to the beach.
Both Jen and David made communicating simple and pleasant.
We would definitely stay here again!

David & Jen are truly wonderful to work with. Check in process was very easy, great communication from start to finish. House was super clean when we arrived and they allowed us to check in earlier then 4pm which was very nice! Spacious house, plenty of room for 2 families of 4 to spread out. Pool area was perfect, great space to relax after bopping around the historic downtown area. Very short walk to beach.
Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals in. We would recommend this house and would stay again if we came back to the area.
10.0 / 10.0
We had a good experience in this spacious home. The pool/back yard area is a huge asset. Check in/out and communication with the owner was easy. The AC is locked and regulated by the homeowner. Having a high chair and baby bed (without having to rent them) would have been a nice benefit. Nice property and we would stay again.
