The bungalow was just perfect! We booked last minute and Ginger was quick to respond. The location was quiet and out of the way, but close to all of the things we wanted to do in Acadia NP. The house was well stocked and we really appreciated the washer and dryer! My kids (ages 5 and 8) loved all of the games, toys and books available at the bungalow. Thank you for a comfortable and welcoming place to land after days filled with hiking, biking and exploring!

We loved our stay in Seal Harbor. House was super clean, and check in and check out was easy. Ginger was super helpful and was quick to answer questions. Our favorite part, coming from a noisy city, was the extremely quiet location. We loved seeing and hearing the birds in the trees, too! Wouod recommend!

It's been nearly a week since we left the Seal Harbor house and not a day has gone by that we haven't thought about it! We loved being tucked in a little neighborhood miles away from busy Bar Harbor (yet close enough to drive in when we wanted to). On our last trip from Phoenix to visit Acadia 25 years ago, we stayed in our little tent. It rained... a lot! We are so fortunate to have been able to spend a week in this roomy, comfortable VRBO on our return visit this year.

This house was in the perfect location. Quiet area near Acadia National park. We were so close to the stanley brook entrance. Not a far drive from bar harbor. We didnt have any kids but noticed there were games and movie's. I had no cell service, but there was wifi and the house did have a landline. We are so glad to have found this place!

We wanted a place to stay that was out of the hustle bustle but close to Acadia NP. Gingers place was 2 minutes from an entrance to the park. We were here during Tropical Storm Lee. Ginger left us flash lights and candles, much appreciated. The king size bed was very comfortable!!!!! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. We hiked every nice day and was so nice to come back to the house and it was quiet and private. We would definitely rent this house again!!!!

We loved revisiting this great getaway again this year. It is the perfect location to explore Acadia and to also be able to drive into Bar Harbor for a meal. The place was spotless, the bed is comfortable, and we felt right at home in the bungalow.

This was our second stay at Shubert Bungalow. We love this house and the neighborhood. Seal Harbor is lovely and quiet but also so close to everything, the carriage roads are a short walk from the house. The home is very comfortable, clean, and has everything you could need. Ginger is so responsive and took care of an issue with the dryer quickly. We really appreciated that. We were sad to leave but hopefully we will return soon.

Location is good .The kitchen is nicely equipped. The master bedroom bed is comfortable. The second bedroom beds are not comfortable. The master bedroom shower is very tiny had to use the main bathroom for showers. The washer and dryer are located in the basement . The house was clean, however, smelled bad . Restaurant's close early and must be up early to find parking in Arcadia. Bar Harbor is about 10 minutes away, have to pay for parking. Arcadia National Park very Beautiful. We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and myself stayed for a week. We’ve stayed here before and loved the bungalow, more like a house, and it’s fantastic location. We biked, hiked and ate at numerous restaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Off the beaten path and so close to a park entrance. Perfect for people interested in park activities, and keeping away from the crowds. This place seemed bigger than it appears in the pictures. Fast internet. Comfortable king bed. Great kitchen and living room.

This bungalow was exactly what me and my family of 5 were looking for during our 7 day stay in Acadia. It is a nice and comfortable home to relax in after a long day of hiking and exploring. My kids enjoyed the many games at the house during our downtime as well as the park down the street. The location is great for exploring Acadia and surroundings as it is not a far drive into the park or Bar Harbor, yet you get to enjoy the perks of being in a quiet neighborhood as well. Having a family of 5 to feed and a daughter with food allergies, it was nice to be able to cook at the cabin on most nights. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you may need and the basic staples. We would definitely book again if we ever returned to the area.

We loved our stay in Seal Harbor. The bungalow was an easy walk to Acadia National Park trails and local sites. We loved the back porch for relaxing with a cool libation in the quiet neighborhood. The abundant hot water in the bath and shower were therapeutic after our long hikes. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed comfortable. We would gladly return.

An amazing location in a quiet neighborhood in Seal Harbor. Carriage Road access less than 1/2 a mile away. Got up early, hiked to Cadillac for sunrise and into Bar Harbor for breakfast right from the front door.

Great location very close to the Acadia south entrance and walking distance to the Seal Harbor beach. House was on a quiet street and a few doors down from a school playground. Definitely would stay again.

Highly recommend this sweet house. We’ve been coming to Acadia for years and enjoy all aspects of the island, especially the less crowded ones. Location is perfect for being tucked away from crowds yet minutes to Bar Harbor, carriage trails, beach, some of our favorite hikes, and my absolute favorite place on the island- Thuya gardens.

Quiet, Lovely Home Away from Home
This cottage was just what we were looking for as a home base while we explored Acadia National Park. Kitchen, living room, dining room, bathrooms & bedrooms more than spacious! Quiet little street made us feel tucked into the Maine woods. Thank you for sharing your home!

A Bungalow Home Away from Home
My husband and I dearly loved our week at Ginger's place exploring and relaxing. The king bed was very comfortable and the place had lots of room to relax and watch a big TV after our full days of vacationing. The kitchen had all the amenities and Ginger thoughtfully left us great directions for getting around the area. We never left the island but found fascinating hikes and gardens nearby. Be sure to visit the amazing bookstore, Naturalist's Notebook, right around the corner with coffee and gelato right next door. We loved our time in the Seal Harbor/ Bar Harbor area!

Immaculate
Schubert Bungalow was impressively clean and extremely well equipped. The house was beautifully furnished and extremely well presented . We love the location. It’s so quiet and so close the everything. We love walking down to the beach every morning. The Lighthouse Inn was a great spot for breakfast and our kids loved getting ice cream at Acadia Outdoor Center. Our favorite place to hike is Little Long Pond. It’s just beautiful. We were all sad to leave. It would be nice if one of the beds in the “kids” room was a bunk bed because then the whole family could sleep on one floor. We love this house and Seal Harbor. Highly recommended!!

Quiet and Great Location
The house was everything that was advertised and more. The bedrooms were well appointed and there is air-conditioning that comes from the dining room area (but it doesn’t quite fully reach the bedrooms). That being said, there are ceiling fans and box fans in order to have a pleasant sleeping experience.
Ginger has absolutely anything you could need to cook or bake in the house. Tons of books and movies to peruse. We were very happy with the quiet street and the fact that it was located very close to one of the only sandy beaches on island. It was fun to go down and look for shells.
Ginger was incredibly helpful and very responsive. It was a wonderful location to have as a homebase while we explored Acadia national Park and the rest of the island. Highly recommended!😊

Seal Harbor Review
We had a wonderful time at the property. Seal Harbor is a short 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor and was nice to be in a quieter location than the busy of Bar Harbor. It was easy access for hiking to the parks. We rented bikes and had ice cream at the local outdoor shop which is super cute!
