About this house rental
This home was completely renovated and feels like a brand new home. It is the perfect location to gather with family or friends for memorable weeks/weekends.
The first floor includes a one car garage, deck with views of ocean and river, 1/2 bath, fully loaded kitchen, dining/living room filled with natural light and master bedroom with on-suite 3/4 bathroom
The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Lower level has a door out to the yard and includes a 3/4 bathroom, bedroom (no windows) and over-sized family room. The family room is perfect for games, puzzles and movies on rainy days. Also includes a queen sleeper sofa.

Great location that is a 5 minute walk to downtown Ogunquit and less than 10 minutes to Ogunquit Beach. Tucked on a side street between downtown and the ocean that is quiet.

This is our 3rd year in a row staying at this house and we truly couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in OGT! From the location, to all of beach toys/games/puzzles etc, to the deck and outdoor shower, we absolutely love this house! It’s so comfortable and the owners have thought of everything! Jessica is so responsive and very easy to communicate with! We LOVE the short walk to the beach and town! We can’t wait to go back next year :)

We decided to visit Maine for our annual girls trip this year, which was a first for all 4 of us and right away we fell in love! We wanted a village/town that was walkable, with plenty of original eating and shopping options, while also being near the beach/ocean. So glad we found this place! Beautiful home, plenty of private and gathering space, (would be great for families) ocean view and most importantly for us…quiet, but an easy walk to the lovely Ogunquit beach, or just as easy to stroll into town. Everyone we came across was welcoming and kind! Absolutely perfect!

I can’t say enough positive things about this house! This is our 3rd summer staying here and it never disappoints! The location is so ideal, just a short walk to town and the beach. Many new renovations this year! The outdoor shower and updates to the deck being our favorites! The house is super clean, updated and comfortable, Plenty of space for everyone. The yard is also great for kids!

We just returned from another wonderful week in Ogunquit, our 3rd year at this house. We absolutely love everything about this property.
Park your car and enjoy a 5-min walk to shops and restaurants in town, and a 10-min walk to one of the best beaches in New England. The layout of the home is perfect for large groups, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The owners thought of everything, including ample glassware, dishes, cooking equipment and utensils, towels, sheets, games, smart TVs, washer/dryer, and beach gear. We loved the large dining room table, ideal for group dinners, and playing games.
The furniture is updated and comfortable.
The owners made significant improvements to the house since last year, including a new 3rd sliding glass door that completely opened up the living room to the updated deck and ocean view.
The owners are very attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed, and were very responsive to any questions.
We have rented numerous homes on VRBO and AirBNB, and this is our favorite house and hosts!

The property was amazing and so were the hosts. Communication was a breeze and Jessica was very accommodating. It’s a perfect location - a very short walk to shops and restaurants and a very reasonable walking distance to the beach. The location is centrally located yet feels private. It was quiet, clean, and had all of the wonderful amenities promised in the listing. I would highly recommend and would rent again.

Our third year staying at the Maine Event on Hoyts Lane. Plenty of room for our group of 9. Very comfortable with all the amenities you need and a nice view of the ocean. Easy walk to town, the beach, Perkins Cove. The owner, Jessica, couldn't be more attentive and concerned for her guests. Just wonderful!

Beautiful property in a great location, walking distance to town and beach. Lots of room for six adults to spread out and also enjoy each other’s company. Property itself is as described. Updated, very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Loved having 4 bathrooms spread out throughout the house and the view from the master bedroom was beautiful!! Perfection!
Our stay included two families of four. You can't beat this location, with views of the water and quick walks to the beach. The walk into the charming town is even quicker. The house had everything we needed, and more space than we could handle (not a bad thing at all). All the rooms were connected to roku and flat screen TVs, and the wine fridge and grill really came in handy. LOVED our stay!

We had a wonderful time at The Maine Event! The house was perfect for our large family. We celebrated Easter and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cooking gear, glassware etc that we needed. It’s really the perfect location and everything is clean and new. Fantastic Fall Weekend at The Maine Event
Our group just returned from a wonderful weekend at The Maine Event! We really appreciated the care and attention that’s obvious in this rental. We spent time walking to the beach and into town and the location can’t be better for both! We lucked out with terrific weather, but we’d have been ok with a rainy day in the house because it’s so comfortable and inviting. Communication was a breeze, everything was as expected and more. Very organized, well stocked throughout. We really hope to be back!

I brought a group of women to The Maine Event for a small bachelorette celebration and it was the perfect house for us! We stayed three nights and enjoyed walked to the beach and downtown for meals. Truly The Maine Event
We had a fabulous stay at The Maine Event! The house was lovely…comfortable, beautifully decorated, spacious, and filled with modern amenities. The set up is perfect for multiple families or for a family with several children. It is exactly as pictured in the listing. It is a short walk to Ogunquit’s beautiful main beach and an even shorter walk to the shops in town. Our five year old walked to town several times and could have walked to the beach, but we opted to take a stroller down to the beach to avoid carrying her on the way back. The house had puzzles, books, toys & games, beach toys, beach chairs, beach towels, and two beach carts all of which was so helpful to not have to pack. We were able to park our car for several days and didn’t need it unless we wanted to venture out someplace further. The owners were friendly, approachable, and prompt in answering any questions we had and provided a binder with useful information. Our stay was perfect! We would highly recommend this fantastic rental to anyone and we hope to come back again soon!

A gem of a property
Our first vacation in Ogunquit and it could not have been more wonderful. The house is stunning - beautifully decorated with ocean views. And the location cannot be beat. Our favorite part was having Ogunquit’s amenities all within walking distance - we only used our car once to get groceries. We strolled to get coffee and açaí bowls in the morning, walked to beach during the day and tried a different restaurant each night. The owners were incredibly responsive and answered questions prior to our arrival. Our teens are already asking when we can go back!

This house couldn’t have been more perfect for our group! The convenience to the beach and town was key for us (with 5 and 3 year olds the walk was very manageable). The house is perfect for a bigger family or multiple families. I’ve been coming to Ogunquit for 4 years and this is by far the best house that we have stayed at. We are already looking forward to returning next year! Jessica and Josh were very helpful and always got back to us quickly with questions etc.

We have been staying in OGT for over 20 years, renting homes for the last 10. This was one of the best rentals we have stayed in. The house itself is updated nicely, has a great layout for groups or multi-generations, and the location is perfect. Short walk to town, Beach, and Marginal Way. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, which has a view of the river and ocean. Communication with the host was easy and fast. The beach chairs, beach cart, and beach towels were an added bonus. Ogunquit Family Trip
This was our first family trip to Ogunquit in over 2 years and the first time we rented a house instead of staying in a hotel. I am so glad we decided to stay at The Maine Event - fantastic location, beautifully decorated and updated, extremely clean, and owners who were very responsive. I will miss having coffee on the deck looking at the ocean or relaxing in the comfy outdoor patio furniture. We had a great, relaxing vacation and hope to stay there again.

This was a perfect property for myself and 3 girlfriends for a girls weekend away. It would also be great for families. The house was clean, beautifully furnished and had a well stocked kitchen. We have been renting homes in Ogunquit during Columbus Day weekend for 15 years. This home is by far the best we've stayed at. It's cozy, yet spacious for a large group. Well maintained and extremely clean. Gourmet kitchen. Nice deck with views of the ocean. It's only a short walk to Ogunquit center. The Maine Event is a winner!
