Comfortable, clean and spacious.

The listing is as it says. Stephen is very nice and super repsonsive. The kitchen is very basic but it served our needs for coffee in the morning and making a pasta dinner. Bath room is small but adequate. Since it was just my husband and I , i put my cosmetic bag on the dinnig table.
Bed was very comfortable and the location is very quiet at night.
We were very fortunate with the weather while
we were there

We loved the mid-century modern furniture and decor. The beach cottage was clean and cozy. The back deck was a good place to enjoy morning coffee and the cool, clean air. My friend and I thought the front entrance pergola and planter could use an update - as it would truly be a nice welcoming.

My wife and I love the Sonoma Coast and the west county (Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Petaluma, Bodega, etc.). We were looking for a central place to stay for several weeks while we explored, visited friends, and absorbed the general vibes. We were not disappointed. The property reminded me of a cabin I rented in Cape Cod years ago: a bit rustic with a lot of history, walking distance to everything I need, and the nicest owner. It looks just like the photographs. My wife in particular liked the washer/dryer, the refrigerator, the stove, the sheets, and the patio. It's about 20 minutes to the supermarkets in Sebastopol, and the scenery between the two is dynamic and beautiful. We left relaxed and energized.

We enjoyed the quiet and cozy home. We could walk down to the store easily and the drive to the ocean beach is not too far. The bed was comfortable and the shower/bath worked well. The bathroom sink could use a better hot water, otherwise all was very nice!

Stephen was the best! We loved the house . It was perfect for two and in a great location.

Great for a vacation getaway giving you access to a number of wonderful coastal hikes along the beaches and the Armstrong Redwood forest. The gastronomic access to cheese dairies and vineyards helps round out the appeal of this location in Sonoma/Russian River.
The VRBO was a quaint home lacking some modern amenities like dishwashers, washing machines, dish disposal but that sort of gave it a time-machine feeling.
The furniture selection is a little odd and funky with none of the couches, tables really matching from an era or color standpoint.
It was still a bit chilly in early may so luckily the home had electric heaters which came in handy
Initially it was a bit hard to find the VRBO especially when arriving after sunset since its located on an unlit street and there are NO numberings on the home whatsoever so luckily google maps was able to point me to the exact home.
Stephen was an excellent communicator and helped us resolve an electrical issue promptly.
Overall I would consider staying again.

I think this little home would be ideal for someone who was going to go hiking on trails during the day. You would then come back to a place that has what is needed to fix a casual dinner/barbeque. The living room is spacious and plenty of sitting room.
Steve answers any questions quickly and has some interesting history to share.
The refrigerator/freezer is large. There is a coffee maker, microwave and stove, along with plates etc.

Blowdega was very good for our stay. It was clean, comfy for our fam of 5, and next to a playground. We had a chilly first night as we couldn't find extra blankets and the central heating. All was corrected the next morning when we asked. Things to know: (1) It's in a little quiet neighborhood and has no view. (2) The location of all the supplies is not obvious, so make sure to ask. We'd stay again!

My family of all age ranges have stayed here before and loved it. We are nature lovers and very low key. It’s the perfect stay for exploring all that Bodega bay has to offer and clean and close to everything.

My wife and I had a couple days to explore the coast after a visit to my daughter and husband in Sacramento. This was a great jumping off point for our adventures to the beach, seeing redwoods, and enjoying some great seafood. Make sure a part of your stay is walking the Bodega Head peninsula—views are breathtaking. Stephen was a great host, communicated promptly, and has done great work making this property a home!

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time exploring Bodega Bay. The house has old charm with a real fire burning fireplace and cute decor. The landscaping outside is charming and inviting; deck was set up perfectly to enjoy morning coffee. Stephen was a great host and very responsive, even when we had to call him when we got lost due to operator error inputting address into GPS;). Thank you for hosting Stephen!

We where very happy with the size of the house, and the warmth of the fireplace. The location is perfect. You are in the center of it all. Just a couple of blocks is Hwy 1 the road to everything.

Wonderful place to explore Bodega Bay, Point Reyes, Jenner and points north on the pacific coast.

We spent two nights here and had a great stay. Stephen Was an excellent host. We spoke in advance of our stay and he provided excellent recommendations on what to see and do in the area. It’s an older house, with lots of charm, that had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our getaway. The back cottage was well appointed, comfortable bed, and loved the wood burning stove. It ended up being a rainy weekend, so we had to do alot of lounging inside watching the storm. They had a wood pile right outside, and the rental manager allowed us to pull extra for the fire since we were inside a good chunk of our stay. Overall, would definitely recommend.

It was great

The wood fireplace at night was magical! And the location was convenient to hiking and beach access. Stephen was a most responsive and considerate host. Within walking distance to a cute coffee shop and cafe. Definitely will be back for another Bodega Bay adventure!

Lovely place full of mid 20th century charm. The bed was super comfortable! The bedroom heater cut off too quickly, but solved that issue by moving the extra portable heater into the bedroom.

A super cute little place to be quiet and relax with a warm wood stove. Very close to the coast. Cute little grocery store down the street that you can walk to.

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Blowdega very much. Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a small grocery store and an easy drive on Hwy 1 to local beaches, hiking trails and small towns. The house had everything I needed to be comfortable, including a small wooden deck for doing yoga in my swimsuit on one especially sunny afternoon (in December!). Thank you,Stephen!

Very comfy little cottage style house. Clean, host was prompt with responses.

A beautiful cottage that was just perfect for our stay! Stephen was a lovely host and so helpful with local tips etc. The house was in a perfect central location and also just enough off the main road to be super quiet all the time. Everything inside was great and we would happily stay again. Thank you!

Perfect location for visiting the nearby state parks and Point Reyes, well equipped, functional, quiet, very responsive host.

This was a lovely place to stay to visit Bodega. We will definitely try to book again when we visit again! Wished there were ice cube trays and thicker pillows, but the beds and couches were very comfy!
Thank you

Our little family loved our stay at Casa Blowdega! Charming, cozy, and perfectly located! We loved having access to the elementary school’s field and playground across the street, the nearby market and cafes, and having such a beautiful place to come home to after exploring Bodega Bay!

Happy to be in a quiet cottage and out of the valley heat!

This was our first vacation we've taken in years and we chose Casa Blowdega based on its natural charm in the VRBO pictures.
Casa Blowdega has off-street parking, is quiet and comfortable, yet close to the main drag for easy pick up of essentials or a bite "in town". Should you wish to stay in, the kitchen is equipped with all the utensils and appliances needed for a meal at home which is mostly what we did. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and that, coupled with the dewy mornings, cup of coffee in hand, and sea lions barking in the distance, made for some of the most relaxing mornings I'd ever experienced. This was exactly what we needed. We are already planning our next visit to Casa Blowdega.
Thank you Steve for providing such a welcoming and wonderful experience for us.

We had an awesome stay at Casa Blowdega! The cottage was very nice and clean, and the location was very convenient (right by Highway 1, the beach, a couple of grocery stores and restaurants, etc.). The host was very helpful and nice as well. Highly recommended!

This beautiful home exceeded our expectations! It was lovely and well-appointed, everything we needed for a very relaxing, comfortable weekend getaway to the coast. The location is very central to everything you could need in the quaint town of Bodega Bay. What a treat to be walking distance to both grocery stores! Our host was pleasant, easy to communicate with and very clear. We enjoyed a wonderful stay and would choose this place again for sure.

Every thing as described. Awesome communication. Perfect for a weekend getaway

Our stay at this “home away from home” was absolutely perfect. Placed in a quaint little neighborhood, located right by local eateries and close by beaches. This cozy cottage felt like home for our first vacation with our 2 year old son since COVID. He had the time of his life and watching his excitement as he experienced the beach for the first time will be a vacation we will remember for the rest of our lives. The cottage contained everything we needed to be comfortable for our weekend away. Would highly recommend and would love to return. Could have stayed forever.

Overall, this property served our needs. We didn’t hang out at the house much as we had family camping down at the beach, so mostly used it to sleep and freshen up. If we were to be staying in the house more wouldn’t have worked well for us. It is definitely funky but in a OK good way. The price range was spot on for what it was. The only downside that I had was the floors were a little uneven, meaning that the house had settled, and they slept a bit here and there. It was fine for us and didn’t have any issues, but I could see it being an issue you are unstable on your feet to begin with. It added character, and a good life for us!

Stephens place was the perfect landing pad for a long weekend away. We look forward to returning!

Great location and nice property

The house was very clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood extremely quiet. A doe and her twin fawns wandered the neighborhood and sometimes wandered into the backyard where we watched them through the sliding glass doors.
There was a hiccup at check in, but Steve, the owner, was very responsive, so I would not hesitate to stay again. One thing that is different than pictured are the couches. They have been replaced with comfortable (but not as cheerful) alternatives. The new furnishings are nice, but don't have the same design vibe as those pictured.
The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen has most of the basics one needs for cooking. There were a few items I suggested adding to the items already there, and Steve appreciated the input and said they would be purchased for future guests.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Such a cute cottage to stay in. Perfect location, centered on all Bodega Bay has to offer. Will definitely be looking to stay again next time we're in Bodega Bay and will recommend to friends and family for sure.
