From August through rain season, Lake Kaweah has minimum water pool. Lake levels rise when the rain and run off from snow pack comes. This means there is still water in the lake for boaters and swimmers, however not as much as a normal season provides. This ALSO means there is minimal water that runs along the back of the property. As the summer progresses and snow pack melts river levels by the house decrease to minimal levels. Closest to the house the river goes DRY (on a typical rain year this occurs in July) however water flows throughout the year over the island so there’s still plenty of water to enjoy!
Unless otherwise agreed upon with owner, normal check in time is 3:30pm on your arrival date, and check out time is 10:30am on the day of your departure.
Visit Sequoia National Park - California's first national park and America's second oldest park. Visit the General Sherman Tree, the earth's largest living tree. Take a walk through Giant Forest and hike up Moro Rock. Take a tour of Crystal Cave (open May-September) and see almost 250 caves formed of limestone.

While we have strived to make our home as comfortable as possible for you, please do keep in mind that we are in a rustic, Mountain area. We experience hot, dry summers and from time to time also have critters small and large that are on, around and in the property. We do our very best to keep them outside however again you are in a mountain area where these critters lived long before we did. We are using their land and see it as a prime opportunity to know what exists, lives and flourishes here in the mountains.
We do offer a Wi-Fi (however sometimes we feel like pulling our hair out with it) we hope that you will understand again we are in the mountains and have the best service that is offered to us (which is very limited). If there is a period of downtime or the Wi-Fi may not be working to your expectations, we encourage you to take a step outside and enjoy nature. Let your mind relax and try again later!

Wonderful listing. All the bedrooms were very luxurious and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The hot tub was great, location was peaceful and location was convenient. The games room was a nice touch for our kids after a day of hiking in the park. The host was really quick to respond when we asked a question. Would definitely recommend this house for a family get together.

We really appreciated our trip and we were delighted with the house. Everything looks good, the layout of the house, the spaciousness, the river, the jacuzzi. The only complaint we could have is that they could have a little more care in front of the house, but it is not that important. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Great house, short walk to river access. Good layout- comfortable for family to enjoy

My group of 12, grandparents, kids, and grandkids stayed for 3 nights for our trip to Sequoia National Park- the location was about as close as you can get to the park entrance which was so convenient after a long travel day flying from Philadelphia then a 4 hour drive from ONT airport.
The house itself is beautiful, - the pictures don’t even do it justice. Everything is clean and new. The beds are super comfy and everything we could have needed was provided. The outdoor area was great for hanging out after a long day of hiking, we enjoyed the hot tub and the area was great for stargazing.
We had an amazing time and would definitely stay again if we had the opportunity.

Our stay in 3 Rivers was great. The place was gorgeous and the night sky and location made it thoroughly enjoyable. It had all the things that was needed and was very spacious. The river in the back was an added bonus for those hot summer days.

Great location for exploring Sequoia National Park and a little bit of a drive to check out Yosemite! The house is huge! We were originally suppose to be a party of 12, but half our party couldn’t make it, so we had this huge space to ourselves. The two master bedrooms are awesome! Bathrooms everywhere! Big kitchen with up-to-date appliances for the families that like to cook meals together! For those that don’t, lots of places to grab a bite at the town of Three Rivers! Then don’t forget to grab a frozen yogurt while there. This time of year the rivers aren’t as full, but the river behind the house you could hear sitting on the deck bubbling. We would all grab a cup of coffee and our breakfast and sit out enjoying the sounds and watching the woodpeckers and quail in the yard. We didn’t use the hot tub because we were usually too tired from our hiking in the park, but it was there. Plus it was unusually high temperatures while we were visiting. I’m sure late spring/early summer it would be more inviting! Nice soaking tub in one of the masters for those achy muscles from hiking. The beds were so comfortable—all had newer temperpedic mattresses. We didn’t use the game room upstairs, but is a nice area for kids to hang out. Did not have any issues at all with WiFi! All our phones worked also, but we all have AT&T. Very nice laundry room which came in handy to catch up on laundry! We enjoyed our stay at the River House!

We stayed in the house for 3 nights while visiting and exploring the nearby national parks. House was perfect!! Very clean, had all the needed items and made our stay great. Was so nice after a long day of exploring and hiking to have such a ‘home’ to return to. The backyard river was awesome to relax by. Would certainly recommend or stay here again.

It was a great location for our family of seven to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon. This house is a newer home furnished with comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen.
We appreciated that we could order food from one of the close restaurants for dinner after a long day hiking.
The sounds of the river makes the huge patio a delight plus the river was a great spot to soak tired feet. Just beware that the wet rocks are very slippery.
We had a good supply of toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, detergent, coffee and coffee filters.
We so appreciated the owners allowing us to stay at this great home!

Great location for us as we were visiting Kings Canyon / Sequoia National Parks.
Large house with open spaces that more than met our needs. Our granddaughters loved the outside deck and the upstairs game room! The house was clean and quite comfortable. Dena communicated well.

The nine of us enjoyed staying at this house. The spacious accommodations exceeded our expectations. The four grandchildren always found something to do, playing the games on the porch, playing the arcade games in the house, and exploring the river. We all enjoyed the hot tub and getting quality sleep each night.

Everything was not only as advertised but was better! This was a perfect location for our family of 7. Very easy to get to Sequoia NP but also close to grocery and restaurants. And oh my, good lord the river provides a perfect background for morning coffee or evening relaxation. So glad we chose to stay here.

The is very nice and the setting is beautiful, with the river going through the back yard. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us to be together, and to get away for time to ourselves.
Perfect location if you want to explore the nearby National Parks@

Family of 8 stayed very comfortably...except the high tech thermostats were a bit 'off' with AC. One of 3 kept two rooms warm, 2 of 3 kept two rooms COLD, & the 3rd thrmst didn't seem to do anything. Before you think it, we followed Hosts instructions on proper use. Not unbearably, just for renters knowledge. The approach and front of home will make you think: "what have i done?": But, the inside, the decor, appliances, deck, peaceful river, & view (out back) is absolutely wonderful. We had a fantastic, peaceful, joyful time. What a great week!

We had an incredible stay. The property is beautiful, and the hosts have thought through every detail. We cooked every meal at home and really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was. We look forward to coming back to explore more of the park!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for us and close to rafting and the National park yet off the main road enough to feel secluded.

We really enjoyed our stay in Three Rivers. Great home to gather friends and family, close to town and easy drive to Sequoia.
The house was cosy and clean and we loved dining outdoors on the terrace, using the hot tub, taking a short walk to the river. It was still plenty warm in late October! We might add a bedside lamp or two, but otherwise it was great. Thanks again.

We had a wonderful stay after Christmas. The kids loved making s'mores, playing games and enjoying the yard. Adults loved that each family had their own privates space as well as plenty of room around the table for all of us to eat together. Kids loved the upstairs play area too! We enjoyed exploring in Sequoia National Park and walking around Three Rivers.

Very clean. Great communication. Gorgeous view. Location was near both the church and reception venue. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves visiting Three Rivers.

My family has stayed at lots of vacation homes, but we all agreed, this was our favorite. The set-up with rooms, the open kitchen/living room, deck out to a wooded setting with a creek (yes, there was water in the creek), and the hot tub made this a relaxing, fun stay. It was quiet and peaceful. Dena was great about getting back to me right away when I had questions. Sequoia NP is nearby. Would definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed staying here. Overall a fairly small town but near some restaurants and a market which was nice. Home was clean and modern. Didn't have a problem with the wifi. Would stay here again!

Property was brand new on the inside. Don't be mislead by the outside. Close to the park. Owner was very responsive. (2) master bedrooms with bathrooms were awesome.

This is a great house, everything is new and clean and it is at a great location right on the river. Is it set up to be enjoyed by a good size group and the common area has plenty of room to relax, cook, play games, etc. It was a great base station to explore the national park as well as the fun stuff that the small town had to offer. Highly recommend Sierra subs for lunch.
Property owner was great to deal with and fast to communicate and provide details. Highly recommend, would stay there again for sure.

We had a great stay at the River House! We used the property for half of our stay as a base camp for visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (long and winding but beautiful drive) and for the other half as a relaxing place to reunite as a family. The layout of the house worked well for our group and was as described. The deck was great for outdoor meals and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.

We stayed over a holiday weekend and can’t say enough good things about this place. The house is beautiful and as described. We had two families, (4 adults, 4 teens) and there was more than enough space for all of us. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The house was well stocked with everything you needed. The outdoor area was the highlight, the deck is big with gorgeous views. We enjoyed coffee on the patio each morning and the fire pit in the evenings. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking and activities. The location was great it’s a few minutes away from town and about and hour and 20 minutes to get to the main area of the Sequoia’s. The drive was pretty and we didn’t feel like it was too far way. We will definitely be back again.

Three Rivers is the town closest to Sequoia and this house was well situated close to the park entrance. It was a modern, clean, and very spacious house for our families. AC kept the house cool even in 90+ degree weather and our kids enjoyed playing in the little river that ran behind the house. The back deck was very large with a nice wooden table, benches, and jacuzzi. There was a separate deck area with more chairs and a fire pit, although we did not utilize it. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with lots of spices, coffee, and tea. The manager was also very responsive. Overall a lovely stay in Three Rivers.

We had a large group of 3 families with children staying here to visit Sequoia. The house is amazing and brand new. The pictures don’t really do it justice. Everything was really clean and the hot tub, deck, and river were a great bonus. We would highly recommend this house!

Love this Riverfront house and our group was so happy to come back. It was just as perfect as we remembered. Super clean, spacious and fully stocked with all your needs. Our first stay was in October 2020 and this time July 2023. The river is significantly fuller this time. Exploring nature and hiking is literally right in your backyard here. Everything in this house is in tip-top shape. We love BBQing and cooking in this fully stocked kitchen. This property is perfect for family gatherings, as the dinner tables have seating for large group. Dena is such a great host, always responsive and attentive. Three Rivers Riverfront house, we’ll be back again. Thanks again Dena

This entire visit to Sequoia was fantastic. Dena was the best host possible. The house is exactly as it is pictured. We had 8 people all together, 6 adults and 2 kids. There were so many bathrooms, a large kitchen, family room and great outdoor patios. The backyard river was really the cherry on top for us. Every day we would drive to Sequoia (about 25 minutes to the gate, but 45-60 minutes to get all the way into the parking. So plan to get there early) and hike for the first half of the day, then came home for the afternoon. The adults rested and the kids floated in the river. It was like having our own personal lazy river. There is a tiny soft sandy beach, tiny fish and cool water- it was perfect. Dena was responsive, helpful and just a great host. The house is clean, cool, and well stocked with kitchen items. We had everything we needed. We headed into three rivers for frozen yogurt and Puposas from a local food truck and brewery the last day, which was amazing, otherwise we took Dena's advise and stopped in Visalia for groceries on the way in. But the local market has a good selection of stuff to get there if you need more groceries. We also went to Lake Kaweah on Saturday. The boats in the marina book out on the weekends pretty far in advance if that is something your group wants. The Slick Rock recreation park is a little parking lot and dock. That is where we went and it's only an 8 minute drive from the house. If you need a rental, this house was just fantastic.

Our family had a wonderful trip. The home was so perfect for my kids and grandkids. The little beach area was great for the little ones as long as an adult was close.
I would definitely stay there again.
Thank you Dena!

We were there for our annual get together six women, ages 10-69 on Memorial Weekend. The house was perfect, four bedrooms and baths, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water. The kids enjoyed playing in sand by the water which was high at the moment but beautiful to watch. Because town was so crazy we didn't leave, cooked and ate all our meals there, walked around the neighborhood and enjoyed all the nature surrounding the place.
Property Manager was very responsive to inquires.

Our stay in Three Rivers was perfect. The home is very comfortable and inviting. The river is nice and relaxing off the back porch, we were there in Spring during run off. Although the Park was closed due to road maintenance we totally enjoyed our stay. Thank you Dena for sharing your beautiful home.
