Really needs updating for the rates charged

My family spent one night here. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed eas extremely comfortable. I usually have a difficult time sleeping with two hip replacements but this was like home to me. I left something in the room when we left and the house keeper brought it out to my car for me. The food was great, the staff was excellent. I’ll definitely be back.

The food was really nice!!

We expected the property to be closer the the park and were surprised that it was over an hours drive from our destination. The restaurant was great. The staff was pleasant but not helpful. We were ready to go at 6:30 but the restaurant/office did not open until 8:00 so we stayed longer than anticipated to check out. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Beautiful stream side location.

Decent option right at the park entrance. Good location, restaurant and EV charging.
Rooms were ok - a little worn. The patio wasn't clean.

It’s a bit dated but otherwise the food was great and the bar was amazing

Excellent restaurant. The property is 0.4 miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park,

The lodge doesn't offer a baby crib, though Expedia says it does. I checked a week before I stayed. I was in a hurry to get a portable crib, which I did.
It was hot, but the air conditioning worked. The food in the restaurant was good. They offer infant food.

this is the closest hotel to the three rivers entrance to Sequoia. Just 2 minutes away. The restaurant setting is lovely. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are a bit rustic and parking is limited but all in all a very good stay.

Closest place to park entrance and has restaurant/ lounge room fine but a bit dated. In incredible heat the A/C worked very well.

THE CLERK AT THE PROPERTY TOOK MY CREDIT CARD AND RECHARGE MY PREPAID ROOM. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT IT WAS PAID VIA EXPEDIA ON MY DISCOVER CARD AND WOULD HEAR OF IT. HE CHARGED ME $256. SO I PAID TWICE AT THIS FACILITY. I TRIED TO TALK TO MANAGMENT AND THEY WERE NOT AVAILABLE DURING MY STAY. I AM UPSET THAT I WAS CHARGED TWICE FOR MY ROOM AND NO ONE WOULD HELP FIX THIS ON SITE AS I WENT BACK TWICE DURING MY VISIT.

Great little spot right outside Sequoia. It was clean and quiet. Nice restaurant with a great menu. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that the shower was so hot it was almost unusable - there was no cool or even warm option unless you used it early morning. That being said, there was a heat wave so that was probably out of their control.

The winsow sills and corners of the room were rather dusty, but the bedsheets, bathroom were all clean and neat. The staff were very nice at check-in (in the restaurant.) We did not eat there, so i can't comment on that, but there's a deck overlooking the river - beautiful. Parking was a slight challenge. It was full when we returned from the park around 7 so we visited a store down the road before returning and finding a spot. It's a small property, but that is why it's nice and quiet.

Staff were great and the room was OK. It needed a bit of attention here & there (plastic fork holding the AC vents open, blinds broken etc.), but generally OK. I booked a room with 2 double beds, but they were pretty small so it was more comfortable to sleep in separate beds.
The major disappointment was breakfast - on Sunday, they only serve a Champagne Brunch at $30+ per person - with no discount for those not drinking. As I was going to be negotiating the twisty roads of the park after breakfast, I really didn't want to be drinking. So we checked out and had a great breakfast at the general store a mile down the road. Later the car park was full so I assume the Champagne Breakfast is popular - just not the right thing for overnight guests!

The Gateway was a fantastic place to stay for visiting Sequoia. The little cabin was perfect for 2 people and we had a balcony overlooking the river which was a lovely bonus. Plenty of space in the room and a lovely queen bed with a great mattess and pillows.
The bathroom was a little cramped and the light above the mirrow did not work. The shower was small with a non-adjustable shower height and it was hard to get the water temperature balanced.
The restaurant was lovely, recommend to eat on the deck over the river.

This is a very nice small old-style lodge with a very friendly and accommodationg staff, small but clean and well-maintained rooms. It's almost at the entrance of Sequoia N.P.

This hotel is in a great location but it is dirty.

Hard to parking because of Resturant’s customers.

The room was adequate but the restaurant made it all worthwhile. Perched above the Keweah River, the restaurant views were fantastic. An outdoor patio allowed a chance to sip your wine or whiskey and watch the roaring river go by. Swallows swooped over the river, hunting insects and chasing the ravens. Food was wonderful. Staff so friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed the location and the restaurant. The parking was limited and the room was pretty small. The staff was freindly and the property is pet friendly.

Location and service are the best. It's a stones throw away from the entrance to Sequoia Nat'l Park and a full bar is great to return to after a day of hiking. The staff go out of their way to be helpful, and restaurant breakfast and dinner were pretty good! The view over the river from the restaurant was nice.
Only complaints were that previous guests left half eaten food in our dresser and a used washcloth that had not been cleaned out before we checked in, and the rooms are a little drafty.
Still, overall had a positive stay and the convenience of this hotel simply can't be beat.

Cons: the room smelled yet clean, there was hair on the bad, old furniture but outside need paint.
Pros: the location is very convenient closed to the Park entrance, it has a gorgeous view of the river all next to the restaurant and our room, and the staff is very polite and attentive. Food is good but pricey.

It was dirty and unkempt. There were spider webs inside the room above the bed. Not what you would expect for $230.

Glen and Kyle, Christopher and Ruth and the entire staff of The Gateway Lodge and Restaurant were incredibly accommodating for every wonderful moment of our three day stay. Just beautiful.

The rooms need to be updated, but the area is phenomenal and the restaurant has the best view you can imagine!! Thank you!

Small hotel room with limited space to travel with children…room was dingy and dusty. Bathroom still had hair in the drain from previous guest!

We stayed in a warm and cosy quaint little room. it was clean and the owner, Glen, just put in a new heater. The restaurant is a little pricey but it was worth it on Monday night. Tuesday night we went there again, for the lack of a better one in the surrounding, but the Tuesday dinner was not good - felt like the main chef was off.

It was smaller than expected but it worked the beds were very uncomfortable I had stiff neck and shoulders for days after but it was beautiful the area was absolutely gorgeous and they were very kind the staff and helpful and it was enjoyable
