Cosy characterful cottage and appreciated the little gift left by our host
The fact that the previous guests hadn’t cleaned up after their dog/ dogs, in the garden.

What a charming characterful cottage with fully functioning kitchen, loved veranda from bedroom especially as we had our little dog with us giving easy access to garden. Great chip shop just stones throw away, we met lovely friendly people in the town centre and there is a good choice of cafes and pubs in near the sea front. Can recommend for food in particular the Ship Inn, The Ancore and Brookes Cafe. Thank you again to our lovely host who was helpful and at end of phone if needed 😊
We had to come home.
Gave bathroom 4/5 as was on smaller side but you have to expect this as character cottage... this was in working order

The location of the property was ok but the front door is located onto a very busy main road so not so good for puppies. The steps up to the garden were not very pleasant and our puppy was too afraid to use them. The interior of the cottage was dated and worn out. The sofa was even ripped open. It was not clean either. Dead spiders, flies, cobwebs and hanging loose wiring not exactly dog friendly or welcoming..
As above

What an amazing cottage .The features are lovely .The room at the top has the most amazing view .To sit there in the early hours and watch the wildlife is truly amazing .The host was lovely and nothing was too much trouble any questions were answered straight away.
The garden and the main bedroom with decking and little table was lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and bfast in the morning.
The cottage was well equipped and home from home .The lights the little personal touches are what made it so homely .Games books available music and tv if wanted .
Easy transport link and walkable distance to the beach about 20mins .Easy to park we had no probs .A little shop a pub and fish and chip shop 5 mins away for anything you need .
The only negative was leaving to return home !

We stayed over Christmas and the property was warm and cosy throughout. Beds were very comfortable and it was easy to get a good night's sleep. The main bedroom was at the back of the house with no noise - lovely and peaceful. There was a good quality TV (once we had mastered the instructions which were a little outdated) and although we had a few problems, the owner was extremely helpful in getting them sorted out. There were 4 adults, 1 child and 1 dog staying and the cooking facilities were fine for producing a Christmas meal for all of us. The property is just under a mile from the beach - so a 20 minute walk or an hourly bus service from just outside the door. Pub and chip shop and convenience store all close by. Swanage is a delightful town and the walking on the Isle of Purbeck is, in my opinion, some of the best in the country.
Food storage space, especially fridge space, was a little limited in the kitchen. The guest instructions need re-writing to include all the technology changes that have taken place since they were last written

Lovely well kept cottage on the outskirts of a charming seaside town
Having an outside bin to empty the kitchen bin into

This is a really lovely quaint little cottage, situated in a great location only a 15-20 minute walk down to the seafront/town centre - beautiful views out of the window, lovely private garden to relax in.
Comfy beds, kitchen facilities are all good (oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, big fridge and drinks fridge)
Clean bathroom, the shower is extremely powerful, but just make sure you get the temperature right before you get in as it can get quite hot!
Not so much a negative but just something to definitely be aware of (it does mention in the description) - all the stairs are very steep, especially the set up to the attic room, and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues (especially as the toilet is downstairs so if you need it during the night it wouldn’t be ideal)
Even our dog with little legs could only get up them and not down! 😆 - but overall we had nothing to complain about!
