Lovely old Rectory, dining-room was lovely and the owner had left Christmas tree and decorations up during our stay, very thoughtful.
Large but very homely, and tucked away from noise and traffic

Victoria was friendly, hospitable & ready to help. We felt at home.
The bedrooms were clean and comfortable.
The b&b was surrounded by nature.

Room was perfectly fine, if a little dated. It had everything I needed for a one night stay. The bathroom was nice and spacious, again just a little old fashioned. The surroundings were lovely and I can see why a lot of people would book this property.
It is in a remote village so difficult to get to if you don't have a car. The property is old fashioned, as are the rooms, but I know a lot of people book it for the history. Can not comment on the breakfast as we left too early to have it.

Beautiful house, garden and surroundings. Victoria is very kind and her dog very funny.
The house is located nearby the church and has lots of parking space.

Such a marvelous house, I was made most welcome. Amazing breakfast with excellent local produce
Nice big room, great bathroom/shower.
Loved there being a radio and a bookshelf rathe rthan a TV screen in the room
There was nothing to fault at all apart from a vegan might struggle at breakfast if you dont give a heads-up, bring ones own non-dairy milk alternative.

Beautiful house and room, next to an historic and fascinating church in a pretty village. Facilities limited to those normally found in a house, but quite adequate. Very quiet, good breakfast. About 4 miles to nearest town (Oakham) which has many pubs and restaurants. The host is charming. Ideal for those who enjoy old-world charm and history rather than loud night-life or "modern" surroundings.

Fabulous setting used for the film "Pride and Prejudice". No TV in the room which I personally enjoyed. A quaint church and grounds next door. Peaceful is an understatement! Lovely breakfast and great service from the very nice landlady and her little dog🐶😁

Delightful location! Lovely and quiet. Victoria is a delightful host who tries very hard to please guests. The decor was like going back in time and such a change to staying in modern properties!
Disappointed no TV either in bedroom or guest lounge. Although very cute in the right environment, the presence of Jacko the dog sitting close by whilst having breakfast could be off putting for non dog lovers. Macerator in bathroom a bit noisy but understand why needed.
