PRIME LOCATION! Why Knot Getaway is an adorable studio in Downtown Beaufort on Front Street overlooking the water of Taylor's Creek-great location for a coastal getaway! This prime spot is perfect for relaxing, strolling the waterfront boardwalk, and enjoying local shopping and restaurants. It also includes free parking with its own dedicated parking spot in the rear parking lot. Enjoy birds eye views of Beaufort, Carrot Island and Taylor's Creek on the common area rooftop and midfloor decking!
This is a 216 sq ft rooftop studio condo in a historic building in the center of downtown Beaufort. There is a comfortable queen bed with a newly renovated Kitchenette and beautiful mosaic tile work in the shower and floors. The Kitchenette includes a Keurig coffee maker, hot plate, electric skillet, toaster and ample supplies of dishes and utensils. There is a rooftop deck overlooking the harbor where you can enjoy sunrises or sunsets with your coffee or cocktails.
It is the perfect location to walk to all the wonderful restaurants, bars, shops, museums and day cruises - use our free parking and not worry about driving until you have to leave! You are only a ferry ride away to the beautiful beaches of Cape Lookout. Also, you can take the Waterbug boat tours to Carrot Island to sit on the beach, Sand Dollar Island to get bucket fulls of sand dollars or see the wild horses at Shackleford Banks. Feel free to bring your own boat and store it at the Beaufort Docks or Boathouse Marina as well. Lots to do and the perfect getaway!!

It is right in the middle of Beaufort, the roof top is cool, but it is not your own rooftop - it is shared with everyone, we thought it was only for this place, we didn't realize there were multiple suites that shared it. (it may say this in the listing and we missed it) Please also note, there is no flexibility on rescheduling for any reason, not even a death in the family, so make sure you buy insurance. As far as the place itself it is perfect for people that never are in the room, it is a comfy bed, bathroom and kitchen counter, so it was perfect for us. It is a super location. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a really good experience at this property. Right in the heart of Beaufort we loved being able to just walk downstairs and have plenty of shops, bars and dining options. Communication was easy and quick. Recommend it if staying in Beaufort.

We failed to read the listing carefully. We thought that the balcony with the great view was connected to the apartment. No. It's about 100 feet away and up a flight of stairs to the roof. The apartment faces the parking lot. Otherwise, it was small, well decorated and clean. The door combination did not work, but the owner came over a gave us a key

Our recent trip to Beaufort NC was our first visit to this wonderful coastal town. This condo was in the perfect location for all things downtown. Jeff is helpful and easy to rent from. Definitely will stay again the next time we visit

Everything was as advertised. Any and everything you need is provided. Small cozy unit, literally in the middle of town at the harbor. Very short walking distance to the museum and all the restaurants. Only thing missing for us was the lack of an outside outlet to trickle charge our EV. This just prevents the security system in the car from draining the battery overnight. If you're coming here with an EV, understand this is basically a charging desert. There are chargepoint chargers in town but they are very corroded. There is a level 2 charger 1 mile from town but it's only 48 amps. And there is nothing around it ie restaurants or shopping. We managed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

You can’t beat the location of this unit. The rooftop patio is awesome for watching sunsets or anytime you would like a view of the water and boats. Once you get here, you do not need a car unless you want to drive to the beach.

The unit has a lovely beachy feel. Pretty decor and amazing tiling. It has everything you need and ideally located. In my opinion, it’s best for couples, young, or old, to have time in a pretty seaport area and want to be centrally located. There’s parking, but we just left the car there because everything was accessible walking. If you like boats, then this is the place. There are loads of boats to watch from the superb view from the rooftop. We took a sunset trip on a catamaran. Well worth it. However, you can enjoy the sunsets just as much from the private rooftop and there are plenty of chairs available. Only one other couple was there during our stay so we mostly had the roof to ourselves. Lots of places to eat, some good seafood. We were concerned at other reviews, saying how small the place was, but those people have obviously never been to Europe! It’s absolutely fine for a couple, there’s a small couch and a table/chairs for two. If I had to find any fault, it would probably be the bed is pushed against the wall so the person on one side can’t get out easily, they have to get off the end of the bed or climb over their partner. We could’ve pulled it away from the wall but it wasn’t a major problem for us. Communication was good, any questions we had were answered immediately. Would we go back again? Yes. The visitors’ book comments said the same thing. Note: we don’t have a problem with stairs but if you do there are quite a few. Worth the climb!

This was the perfect little place for my husband and I to spend a few nights. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the roof top deck for sunset with a glass a wine. It was awesome. You could hear live music from across the street. We had our dog with us and we were amazed how dog friendly the entire town was. Thank you again for letting us enjoy your place.

My husband and I had a great visit to Beaufort. This small studio unit was perfect for us. It was neat and clean and cozy. The location can't be beat and the rooftop was fantastic to relax and watch the town, the waterfront, and listen to live music in the evenings. I hope we can stay here again. So nice!

This location was perfect for us while in Beaufort to attend the Wooden Boat Show. Knowing everything was within walking distance and a parking place was so convenient. The rooftop view was perfect from sunrise to sunset. We would absolutely rent again.

Location of this studio was pretty perfect, almost right on front street, in front of the boardwalk. The studio itself is really really small. Almost as if it’s a New York City studio apartment.
We came with two small dogs and even they were backing up vs turning around. If we come back again, we will be looking at other places with more space for this price. Beaufort is a small town, from one end to the other is only 3mi, thus all distance is pretty walkable.
Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Dust from vents has not been cleaned in a long time it seems, as it has a layer of dust. Same on the legs of the table. The AC was blowing humid air that left sheets damp. It was making an unhealthy noise, and when we reached out to owners, they let us know this is the first time they are hearing about AC issues. AC had black mold in it, thus need a good cleaning. Owners wanted to come by next day we notified them about the AC, but due to the size of the apartment, and not having much “safe” space, we asked to pass up on this.
Gate to upstairs “dock” where all mini studios are located does not lock, even though it should, as we were provided a code. Other renters continuously leave the gate wide open, so be careful with your puppies when you go. There are signs to keep dogs on leashes, this is definitely advisable. Upstairs dock was gorgeous, what a view!!!

Condo is small (just a heads up to those who don’t check square footage) but very well appointed and the layout maximizes space. Rooftop deck is lovely for wine and coffee. Location is in the heart of town. Hosts stayed in constant communication and it was easy to check in and check out.

We have never stayed in Beaufort so this was a great first time! Overall the place was really ideal as far as location! We loved being able to walk every where! The rooftop view was so nice!
The only thing that was really inconvenient was the fact that the people before us had ruined the fridge. It smelled so horrible that we could not use it.
Each person pays a cleaning fee. That was not well done this time.

Fantastic Location!
This condominium was within walking distance of all the restaurants and historic sites in downtown Beaufort. The rooftop deck was perfect for viewing sunsets and all of the boats docked along the river. Julie and Jeff were wonderful hosts leaving my wife and me champagne and snacks for our anniversary. We highly recommend Why Not Getaway for a great experience in Beaufort!

We just loved our stay at this sweet place in Beaufort. Everything was spotless. The upgrades to the unit were high end and there was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But what really set it apart was the roof top deck.
We could see all the activity of the marina and Front St yet had privacy. So cool!
