We really enjoyed our stay! The owners were very accommodating for early and late check in and gave us a personal tour of the home. You can tell they take great care of the house, very clean, and well stocked. We loved the game room and hot tub. We were central to all activities, Pisgah national forrest, white water rafting, hot air balloon ride, breweries. And can’t beat the morning coffee view!!

This has to be our best rental yet. The house was immaculate and so comfortable. It was well stocked and so much to do just at the house, you never have to leave if you didn't want to! The view was great. The hosts were friendly and warm, greeting us upon our arrival. Great place to stay and we will definitely be back!

We actually loved this property! We were in Swannanoa for a wedding. Everything is accurate in the description, was very clean, and Charlie and Barbara are the best hosts ever! They met us when we got there and showed us everything; we had no problems! Throughly enjoyed the covered patio view of the mountains. Would highly recommend this property to anyone! Hoping in the future, we can visit them again :-) thanks again Charlie and Barbara for a wonderful vacation!

What a wonderful vacation in this lovely, spacious home! Clean, quiet and conveniently located between Asheville and Black Mountain. Owners were super nice and provided helpful recommendations about area dining and things to do. Spent hours on the covered patio taking in the mountain scenery and listening to the chorus of birds.

This property was an amazing choice for us. Hot tub, full kitchen, a lot of extra linens, and awesome living room space. The deck overlooking the mountains was the highlight. The host was welcoming and responsive. Thanks for a perfect weekend!

We went to this location for my husbands 40th birthday. Its not to far from Ashville so you still enjoy the breweries. But if you just want a place to relax this is perfect! Isolated enough, great views, and so peaceful! Also Charlie and Barbara were amazing hosts! Anything that happened they fixed immediately! Would 100% stay here again!

“Big Red” is a perfect place to stay for comfort, coziness and relaxation! The home has wonderful views from the porches, and I loved waking up to hearing birds singing while I drank coffee on the porch. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking. The hosts were wonderful and greeted us for a tour. Very easy check in and out. Overall a wonderful stay and I’ll be back but next time I’ll stay longer! I didn’t want to leave!

We had a group of 7 retired ladies who all graduated from Miami University in 1970. This property was perfect for our 75 year birthday celebration. The house was spacious, clean, well-stocked, and had so many amenities! Our hosts, Barbara and Charlie, were the best. They took care of our needs and were so friendly. The views from the upper patios were amazing. The grounds were immaculate and we enjoyed a night around the big fire-pit, which had the firewood provided.
We would definitely recommend this property to any large group having a family get-together or a reunion of friends. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at Charlie and Barbara’s beautiful house very recently with my sister and her family and LOVED it!
The house was perfect for us. 3 bedrooms on the main floor with kitchen and living room, and the deck with grill, chairs and table gave us a gorgeous Mountain View. We spent almost all our home time outside on the deck. The hot tub was delightful and appreciated after a long day of walking around Asheville and the Biltmore. The game room on the lower level has a pool table, foosball table, a set of bunk beds, and a large sectional with huge TV.
It’s only a 10 minute drive to Black Mountain in one direction and the Blue Ridge Parkway in the other. And a 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Grocery shopping and gas is about a mile away, so everything is quite convenient!
They are wonderful hosts, a class act, and the house is well-supplied, including cooking spices and a “starter pack” of local beer! Don’t hesitate to rent this place; you won’t regret it!

This was a wonderful place to stay! We came with 4 couples as a retreat and we all had a blast. The location is exactly as it was described on VRBO. It was a clean and well cared for property. ALL the beds in the house slept amazing, most comfortable any of us have had at a rental! The owners were very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this property. Very clean, spacious, modern and well-equipped. Enjoyed the views, hot tub and fire pit, as well as the pool table and foosball! Will definitely stay here again. The only small thing I would add is some plastic drinkware to use in the rec room and outside at the hot tub and fire pit. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful house, wonderful hosts
8 of us got together to explore the Asheville area. The house was amazing. Ample space for 8 guests. Amazing views. Lots to do at the house (fooseball, pool, hottub, even a piano!), and right near Asheville. It was the perfect launching pad for hiking in the surrounding area, rafting down nearby rivers, seeing some waterfalls and enjoying many of the breweries around town. Would recommend this location to any decent sized group looking to hang in the mountains.

Beautiful spot in the Asheville area
We enjoyed this beautiful home on a hillside outside of Asheville. Quiet, tucked away, with beautiful views of the mountains. The home itself was very clean and comfortable with all the standard amenities plus 2 fireplaces, a hot tub and fire pit. Recommended!

Great Getaway
The home was perfect for our girls weekend getaway! The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals together. We relaxed in the hot tub, read on the porch, and watched sports and played games on the big couch. It was only a short drive to Catawba Falls. Black Mountain, and Asheville sites. I would definitely book again!

Very nice, the little things matter.
I will start off by saying I will visit this property again and again when I come to visit Asheville.
Super clean - very private - huge driveway and there is only a very short part of the road that is gravel and the rest is paved making it easy to get to.
The whole house and even the decks are spacious and large - the 2 bedrooms are on the opposite side of the master which was a nice separation.
The furniture, beds, and appliances are all in great shape and nice.
Hot tub seemed very new and very clean.
The owner will come to meet you and walk you through the property - when I say in the title the little things matter it was nice that they showed me around and ensured I knew how to operate the fireplace, hot tub, and other aspects of the home. In addition, I like that labels were on the lights so I did not have to guess.
My only minor request to the owner would be to update some of the kitchen pots/pans and cooking utensils. I love to cook and could have used some updated items. Not that big a deal.
Just one thing to note - the master shower is small so if you are over let's say 6'2" it will be quite the shower experience.
Otherwise, the house is really awesome and I will for sure be returning.

Wonderful House!
This family of 5 really enjoyed the house and setting. It was a perfect location, just a few minutes outside of Asheville and very near the highway. The driveway was very manageable for any type of car. We loved the hot tub (all 5 of us could fit) and the beautiful view. The house was very spacious, clean, and exactly as advertised. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment and had everything that was needed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner. It even had some extra basic kitchen supplies. The hosts were friendly and greeted us when we arrived. The bathrooms had welcome soap/shampoo/conditioner amenities, plenty of towels and extra towels for the hot tub. The upstairs living room even had a desk with a computer monitor for teleworking. We would absolutely stay at this house again!

Beautiful home close to everything!
This home is in a beautiful, yet easily accessible location. You're secluded and not close to other homes and the view is very nice. The house was well maintained and well stocked, with plenty of nice touches that make you feel like you're welcomed and valued as a guest.
We especially enjoyed the hot tub, the game room, and the covered porch. The owners Charlie and Barbara were very in welcoming and helpful. The home has plenty of areas to relax and spread out, whether you're wanting to watch a movie, read a book, play games, or just drink coffee by the fireplace. We have no complaints at all and would highly recommend this property.

Weekend away
We had a wonderful time in Swannanoa! The house, the grounds and the views were beautiful! The house was so comfortable and well equipped. We were a party of 8 adults and we all felt we had plenty of space, and yet the living room, downstairs area and deck was spacious enough for all of us comfortably. We can't wait to go back!

Immaculate Property
This whole property is gorgeous. The home is just as it’s shown very roomy the kitchen was huge and well stocked. Bedrooms were great and super comfortable. We used the hot tub and fire pit, owners even left us with firewood which was very sweet of them. The entire property grounds are lovely and well
Maintained. Easy access to Asheville and Black Mountain. Only complaint was that the cleaning fee for just 2 nights was a bit much. I’ve stayed in other VRBO properties for 7 days and the fee was not that high. Otherwise I would surely rent this place again and recommend it to friends.

Beautiful home!
We had a lovely stay with our family of 5 in this beautiful home. Very private and quiet with lovely views. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly stocked! We would love to stay here again. In our almost 10 years of traveling with our children, this is the first rental we've stayed in that had black out curtains in the bedrooms, and we loved this extra touch to help our little ones (and us!) sleep in a little extra. Very convenient location as well. Thanks!
