The moment we arrived the receptionist was absolutely amazing . she has only been there a few weeks and I really hope she stays. she was exceptionally accommodating and professional and helped us book our next stay at the hotel
The hotel was immaculate, all staff were fabulous- cannot fault one thing
We had our evening meal in the hotel and the food was exquisite

nothing not to like
we stayed when there was a big wedding in which we would make sure next time there is no wedding . the music was pretty loud although only til midnight but we prefer it when it’s quieter as we have hectic lives and come away to relax and have some peace and quiet

it was a nice comfortable hotel, spacious room. big parking, close to shopping village.
the smell in the hallway and in the morning trouble with water pressure.

Location was perfect, room was fantastic and it was so clean
The room was a little hot for us but this is our personal preference and nothing that the hotel could be criticised on.

The property is in a great location. The presentation of the rooms, the decor and the overall cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional.
I feel as if there’s so much emphasis placed on presentation and decor that the basics are somewhat overlooked.
Our room was clean, albeit a little dusty. The thermostat on one radiator was on the floor - the radiator was on full and the room was way too warm because of this. I had to screw the thermostat back on myself in order to turn the heating down. There was no hand wash in the bathroom - just the hotel packet of soap.
We sat in the bar for half an hour with no member of staff coming to serve us. We went and asked at Reception if there was anyone working there and we were told to wait and someone will be with us. An additional 15 minutes later and still no one came. We resorted to going back to our room for a drink instead. About to pour a drink, we found black/green flecks of something (reminded me of mint leaves) dried around the inside of glass. My fiancée took the dirty glasses to Reception to change which they did - but with no apology.
At breakfast, we were not greeted very warmly. Just a “what’s the room number” and “choose one of those three tables to sit”. There was barely ‘service with a smile’ from a majority of staff during the whole duration.

good location for Bicester village, nice bar and restaurant
some staff not very welcoming
en-suite shower needed some maintenance, needed a new seal around it as cracked and looked dirty
artificial grass and flowers looked tacky, too much of them

We had to leave after two hours as our sons operation was cancelled at tea time due to no beds and he was discharged, which was the reason we were staying in Oxford. I was very upset but doing the 3 hour drive home was our best option in spite of the fact we had booked the restaurant and were so looking forward to our stay. .
The lady on reception was absolutely wonderful (as was the lady who had welcomed us) and after speaking to management compensated us which she did not need to do as it was an NHS not a hotel problem.
We are hopeful the pre-op assessment and operation will be organised again soon and we plan to return at that time, which is a time to look forward to to ease the stress of hospital admission and long distance travelling.
After seeing this beautiful place with good access to facilities but in restful beautiful surroundings we will not consider anywhere else.
The lovely staff are an asset and I feel tearful even thinking about the kindness shown to us.
Nothing not to like.

We liked the location of the hotel and the decor, we went to the gym
2.5
The location was good as well as the setting
the bed was atrocious it was 2 single mattresses together which caused you to roll in to the middle, gave ma a bad back, informed reception but they came across as not been bothered. The previous night my wife and myself had a drink in the bar and the staff individually walk by and looked at us and then went off whispering to each other, they made us feel uncomfortable they never came to us and asked. They made us feel like we shouldn’t be there when we had paid for two nights.
