About this house rental
The property has a beautifully landscaped pond with koi fish and a waterfall, as well as a large heated indoor pool and spa. The large den has a pool table. we are on the lake and we have a boat dock. There is also a fire pit. My husband and I live on the property in a separate apartment (not attached to the house), so we will be here to immediately respond to any needs that you may have during your stay and we look for ways to make your stay special and memorable, while also giving you your privacy. The property is conveniently only 8 minutes from the highway. We look forward to hosting you at Misty Pond - your private resort! Great for flexcations/ ideal work/play destination. Discounts for longer stays. We have a pontoon boat which you can book charter boat rides and Taxi trips to the many restaurants and parks on the lake!

We booked this house for our micro wedding. Siblings stayed in the house with us and our other guests visited during the day. The large space of the house allowed the two sides to spend quality time together in comfort. We totaled 23 people and the kitchen had enough supplies to cook and serve that many people. The two dishwashers were critical. Our ceremony was held on the dock overlooking the pond and the host offered us folding chairs to use for the service. Everything was beautiful. We were worried about the weather in July in Georgia, but it happened to be raining off and on that week and day, giving us just enough time to do a quick ceremony and the rain made it cool enough. The host had arranged for landscaping to be done in preparation of our wedding day! This included spraying for mosquitos, so there were no mosquitos during our wedding! One thing to note is that the house and the grounds may be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. If you are doing a similar wedding and can afford it, I highly recommend planning to check out two days after your ceremony, rather than the next day. Having one full day at the house after the big event let everyone (including the bride and groom) relax before packing and traveling. We booked the house for 5 nights, which ended up being just right for our purposes. Our guests really enjoyed the house as well.

Wow. Our family has done reunions at rentals for years and there is no comparison to this estate. Missy and Steve have set a standard beyond dreams. Look at the pictures and trust me it is even more gorgeous. If you're lucky enough to to find an open date, grab it.

The pictures don't prepare you for how amazing this property is. We've stayed at a lot of places and i can honestly say, this home was the most stocked. They have thought of everything. If thats not enough, the hosts are extremely flexible and available for questions. If we find our way back, it will be in this home.

We recently stayed at Misty and her husband's beautiful property with a group of 10 friends, and it was an absolute paradise. From the serene personal front yard lake complete with a tranquil waterfall to the luxurious indoor pool, the home offered everything we could have dreamed of for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Misty and her husband were incredibly warm and hospitable hosts, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their positive vibes added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience. We couldn't have asked for a more blissful retreat and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a slice of paradise

We had an absolutely magnificent experience staying at this breathtaking property. House is huge but everything is well organized and easy to find (kitchen even has labels on each drawer!). Having an inside pool was a nice bonus - kids enjoyed it and were entertained for hours:) We couldn't have a more perfect celebration of my husband's and kids' birthday parties!!! Thank you!!

Steve & Missy thought of everything when they created this stunning get-away. Situated close to the interstate and Lake Lanier Islands, this gem is nestled in quite perfectly. Upon entering the grounds, you are welcomed by the beautiful pond with waterfalls. Driving over the bridge gives you the distinct feeling that you have pulled off the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The house is generously appointed with great attention to detail. The kitchen is a chef's dream. Every room opens into the pool and spa area. There is an endless amount of private space outdoors including the fire pit, walking trails, separate decks, the pond, as well as the dock. What an amazing space! We have already made plans to book again in several weeks.

We chose this place for our team to have our annual retreat. It was large enough and looked beautiful. The photos didn’t do this property justice. Everything was perfect and the hospitality was unmatched to any other property I’ve ever stayed. Missy really went the extra mile. The kitchen was fully stocked and very easy for the chef we hired to maneuver. The dinning room table was the perfect location for the ten of us to have our daily meetings. All of the beds were super comfy and the landscape of the property was beautiful. Definitely would want to come and stay again. This place is highly recommended.

Our family selected this property for space and location for us to be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving getaway! We truly had the best time whether it was baking in the kitchen, working puzzles and playing games at the large dining table, watching football or the Thanksgiving parade as we swam in the wonderful indoor pool. We could not have had a better experience. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and absolutely perfect for our time away.

Our large family trip to Misty Pond Resort was fantastic. Actually, everyone in the group agreed it was the best trip ever! This property has everything a large family could want. We had a religious retreat with just 12 of us on the property with devotions every day and lots of fun afterward. The pool was amazing. We loved the waterfall. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles. We saw deer while rocking on the porch and hiking the grounds. The lake was nice for paddle-boarding. All three grown daughters learned how. Our hosts were wonderful bringing flowers, chocolate from Switzerland and turning on the pool heat for our arrival. The driveway was easy to navigate. Not one flaw in this place, very peaceful and relaxing and so much to do. Everything you need in the kitchen and baths. We hope to return again one day.

The property was simply outstanding. We had plenty of space for everyone to sleep in. It is a great place to relax after a day out. Very calming and quiet surroundings that made relaxing easy for our group. The place is well kept and lives up to all its photos. Highly recommended to others.

Our first impression was WOW! Misty Pond is a little piece of paradise. Missy and Steve Bentz were wonderful host and we enjoyed their presence on the property very much. We had coffee each morning enjoying the water fall from the front porch and at sunset watching the deer taking a cool drink. The fishing was great, many large strippers were caught, and we enjoyed taking a swim off one of the many island in crystal clear Lake Lanier. I enjoyed the beautiful flowers and landscaping of Misty Pond. What a wonderful week!

I hosted my extended family of 17 people for a 4 night stay and this house worked fabulously. This home is beautiful inside and out. Attributes that stick out are as follows:
1). Sleeps a lot of people comfortably. 1 King and 8 queen beds, and 1 full.
2) great cooking and eating space for a larger group. Kitchen fully stocked with all that is needed. Good quality Weber gas grill
3) large beautiful wrap around porch to hang out on
4) great (and sheltered) location on Lake Lanier. On a sheltered canal (no waves expose your boat). But very easy access from this sheltered dock to the larger part of the lake. Basically boat around the corner (a couple hundred yards) and you get to the larger part of Lake Lanier.
5) an indoor pool and hot tub that would be great for off season when swimming in the lake wouldn’t be ideal.
Owners are terrific. They live in a guest house on site and are Incredibly responsive but also very respectful to allow full use of the property and give you privacy.
Overall, a beautiful property and a wonderful experience renting this property. 5 stars.

The house is very nice. Our favorites of the property were the landscaping, access to the lake (via the dock) and the wrap around porch. The many activities we were able to access at the property: swimming off the dock with the float pad, kayaks, paddle board, fishing off the dock, feeding the fish and turtles in the pond, rocking on the porch, cornhole, basketball, billiards, indoor pool, smores on the firepit, grilling out and wildlife viewing while walking through the woods.
Stocking the fridge, etc. is easy with a Publix, Target, Sams Club and liquor stores all within 10 minutes.

This property is beautiful, the owners are so helpful and very kind. I wish we could have stayed longer, the teens enjoyed the pool, the pool table and the basketball court.....and spent their days kayaking.
My adult children and myself enjoyed coffee on the wrap around porch watching the waterfall and enjoying all the wildlife, birds, squirls and deer.

The property is more beautiful in person. The perfect setting for a small intimate family wedding. Missy and Steve were great hosts and always available if we needed anything. My family thoroughly enjoyed all the property had to offer.

I often ask myself I spent how much for this vacation but my stay here my question was is that all I spent for this vacation? The place was wonderful and the host and hostess were fantastic. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Misty Pond Resort. The grounds are meticulous and inviting with beautiful landscaping. Our hosts were great to work with and very communicative. We appreciate the fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathrooms from Missys garden. House is amazing, beds were comfortanble and fit our crew of 12 perfectly with one room left over. We especially loved the pond and waterfall. Our grandson loved feeding the fish and turtles. We were in town for a graduation, and only wish we had more time to spend here.

PERFECT accommodation for bridal party, wedding party and a family/friends brunch. Several guests told me that this property was the highlight of a wedding weekend that included the Botanical Garden and The Chair Factory! Hosts are beyond gracious!

Nestled in the hills of Lake Lanier's eastern shore sits this fabulous property that is perfect for a relaxing gathering with a large group. Easy to get to from Atlanta and only minutes away from groceries and restaurants, the home is a gem of a find for a large gathering. The indoor pool and hot tub made the trip during out December stay, and the large chef's kitchen and dining area made cooking and dining a cinch. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out, the property will help anyone relax, refresh and renew in the natural setting. Take a stroll along the trail and spot deer, owls, squirrels and more. Perhaps even wet a fishing line from the dock at the lake. Whatever your heart is in the mood for, this property likely has it. Coupled with the ease of working with the owners on any special details, this rental is a special find when hosting large groups. A top pick for our group for sure.

We had such a wonderful time at Misty Pond. Missy the owner has thought of absolutely everything and went out of her way to make our stay truly perfect. We loved watching deer in the mornings, drinking coffee on the porch and feeding the fish in the pond. The pool was so much fun for our children ages 2-13. We will definitely go back!!!!!

Misty pond resort was exactly what my family needed to end the summer before back to school ! The kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub and absolutely loved the lake, splash pad on the lake, and kayaking !!!! They did not want to leave !! The house is breathtaking the property is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful, the front wrap around porch was our go to spot on the rocking chairs with a cup of coffee each morning overlooking the beautiful pond and waterfall. Missy + Steve were amazing and so thoughtful they gave us great recommendations and answered all our questions ! They made our trip more special with a adorable welcome sign as well ! We plan on coming back to stay we truly enjoyed our trip :-).

We came back to Georgia to visit family and friends. Property was in a great central location to be able to do all that we wanted to do. Lots of gathering places in the home make it a great place to catch up and entertain. It was fun to have the pool right of the kitchen so we could keep an eye on the kids. The owners were super friendly and acvomadating. Gorgeous setting! We tood lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for our family of the groom stay in Gainesville. The house and grounds are beautiful. Plenty of very comfortable beds and spaces for large groupings or small groups to visit! Missy and Steve we very welcoming and accommodating but not at all intrusive.
