About this campground/ rv resort rental

The “Retro Retreat” is a cozy three bedroom mobile home located one block from Woodland Park Campground and the shores of Lake Superior. Downtown restaurants, shops, sandy west bay beach and playground are 4 blocks away. Very large yard with fire pit(wood available to purchase from many locations), charcoal grill(you provide charcoal), patio table and chairs are there for your use. Plenty of parking for your toys. We are local to assist with any questions. Enjoy your stay!!

Within walking distance of the little town shops and beach(less than half a mile). Plenty of space for the 4 adults, 2 kids. The full kitchen was nice and had more than enough dishes and utensils. They had a few condiments in the fridge and fixings for coffee as well. If I would have known how expensive and limited the local grocery store was I would have done a more thorough shopping trip before arriving. The unit has AC units in the living room, dining/kitchen area, and the main bedroom. It took about a day to get the whole place at a comfortable temperature. Overall, we had a wonderful time and the owers were very easy to communicate with!

After we killed a few pincher bugs and a moth all was good. Mattresses in smaller rooms could be a bit more comfy. But a cute place and served its purpose for our girls weekend get away.

We have been coming to Grand Marais since 1979 and always stay at Woodland Park. We chose this due to location but it sure didn’t disappoint! Super cute home with ALL the extras! And we got to include my grand dog so that was an extra bonus!

We were definitely wowed! Our stay was happy and comfortable. The mobile home was very clean and well kept. The owners are super nice and thought of everything that you will need to make your stay an incredible one. There was all the stuff you would need for a dog and even tub toys for children, on top of all of the usual things that you need to run a household. It's also in town and just one block away from the campground.If you go a little further, you're on Agate Beach. I definitely give them 10 out of 10 stars for this place. Ty Walt and Christine.

Perfect place...squeaky clean, abundantly stocked with everything we could possibly need, lots of room, comfortable bed, great location across from campground and close to the beach, shops and restaurants We didnt need to contact our hosts because they had everything labeled and printed up for us They even left us a personal note and bottle of wine to help celebrate our anniversary! This place would easily accomodate a family (3 bedrooms) or two couples.

Felt like we were back in the 50’s-shag carpet and all. Walking distance to downtown and beaches. Close to great trails for our OTV. Not fancy, but clean, neat and well stocked with everything you might need. Cable TV and internet.

Never stayed in a trailer in my life. Brought back memories for my wife as her grandma had a trailer (and it was retro). Comfortable stay. Very clean. Excellent location. Only suggestion is an air conditioning unit in the main bedroom. Was a little warm the first night we were there (we like it cool when we sleep). Otherwise, super.

Relaxing area. Well maintained trailer and neighborhood . This owner thought of so many little things that really made the entire stay more comfortable and made you instantly feel like you were at home. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!!

Easy walk to the beach. Lots of interesting rocks there. Easy walk to town. Great breakfast at The Breakwall. Nice community fish fry. Comfortable lodging. Parking right near the door. Laundry worked fine. Needed our insect repellant outside.

This rental was VERY clean, and the 70’s decor was fun, cheery & brought back such fond memories for us! Owners kindly supplied more than everything we could think of. Beds were super comfy with ultra soft bedding. We loved that the beach was literally a block away, as we are avid rockhounds! The close proximity to town was also very convenient. So happy we could bring our beloved little dog. Highly recommend, and will definitely stay again!

Very clean, well stocked and fun place to stay! Had everything we could have needed. Lots of room for everyone in our group. Felt very homie and comfortable. Loved that the host left a list of places to eat, shop and explore. That was very helpful!! This place was in a beautiful area, close to the beach and located about an hour and a half from everything we were wanting to check out while exploring the UP. Definitely would stay here again!

Trailer was clean and comfortable. Well stocked (laundry soap, salt and pepper, etc). Check in and out was easy. Best part was being 300 yards from Lake Superior. Easy walk and stairs down to the beach. Went looking for yooperlites and found several!!

Surprised my hubs with a birthday trip to the pictures rocks lakeshore and Lake Superior, which he has never been before. My kids and I love visiting Grand Marais each year and the peace and serenity it brings. This home was amazing, and we loved the vintage vibe and appreciated the cleanliness and amenities to boot. Definitely recommend!
