What's there not to like? From the hotel being at the top of a hill (wear comfy shoes), to the owners, the dog greeting when you arrive - it was all just perfect. Such a beautiful spot.

The location is just great! Right inside the old city. The room is nicely decorated, very clean, functional, and lining is very comfortable.
The room is very small, the bad is very small. There is no possibility to place equipment for the shower and there is no place to hang a hand towel

Good selection at breakfast. Clean, comfortable room and really great staff.
Perfectly located to walk into the old city or to the lake.
Parking is the compromise. There's basically none at the hotel, so the underground around 150 m away is the best option. You can get a discount ticket when checking in. We had bikes, which the hotel stored in their garage.

It was a wonderful location close to all the historic buildings shops and restaurants but peaceful and tranquil at the same time.A beautiful terrace to have breakfast in the morning overlooking the town.A leisurely walk to the Lake where you could be amongst the hustle and bustle
Well Google said a 10 min walk from the station but not when you are hauling your luggage up the very steep hills more like 45mins!! 10 mins coming down 🤗

Short walk down the lane to the center of all the action/restaurants and shops. Lake is a short 5 minute walk, and a lakeside walking trail to neighboring town of Sevrier was wonderful to get away from the crowds.
Walking with luggage from train station is only about 10 minutes, but google maps didn't walk us to the door. Location is through a main restaurant/shopping cobble stone pedestrian street, then right uphill off a side street. Vendors were always ready to help guide us, but it's a bit difficult to find.

terrace was wonderful to sit in the sunshine, good location near old town but without the hustle and bustle. bed was comfy
room was smaller than expected from pictures shown

Hotel is just uphill from center of town, also near train/ bus station. Hosts are very pleasant. Room is nicely decorated. Electric kettle with tea and coffee are included. Breakfast is a continent buffet.
I didn’t mind the uphill location but others may especially with luggage. It’s a steep ramp.

Charming and personable hotel in a great location at the base of the chateau. We had a family room on the 2nd floor that had excellent double (or triple?) glazed windows so it was calm and we slept very well in comfortable beds. It would probably be too hot in the summer but in the winter it was a perfect and cozy. Nicely renovated bathroom. We did not take the hotel breakfast.
The ticket the hotel provided for free overnight parking did not work quite as expected. The carpark initially charged more but were able to get it down to a reasonable rate by calling the carpark staff on the interphone.

unfussy, but comfortable room, with great view. very friendly staff, dog and cat.
breakfast was good. fantastic location for the old town.
only net curtains so street lights meant room was not totally dark. bathroom was basic, but adequate and functional.

Place is close to the city centre and places of interest especially to centre ville If you have too many luggage the hike up the hill to the property location will be a challenge, if you have a vehicle to get there that should not be a problem. If you do have a much stuff, make sure to ask to be in the lower floor to avoid disappointments in the climb of stairs - there is no lift. The staff in front are very helpful, we were able to leave our luggage and roam around town on the day of our check out.

Nicely decorated room with a lot of style, the location of the hotel, cleanliness and the view from the room. And ofcourse the nice panoramic terasse

It was situated very nicely right in the heart of Annecy Old Town! Staff was extremely nice, they also let us keep our luggage at the hotel while we walk around the town a little bit more. A possible useful tip when navigating to the hotel, follow the google map route into Old Town but turn to the ramp/hill when you come cross Ô Savouyard, google maps led us to the "shorter route" but it was a lot steep stairs and steep ramps.
The radiators weren't very warm but it's nothing too major! Please note that there are no elevators in the hotel, I forgot to check beforehand so please don't make the same mistake as me when your room ends being on the highest floor *cries*

My stay at Hotel du Chateau was lovely. The room was a bit small, but very confortable, especially the bed. The hotel was quiet and I had wonderful nights of very much needed sleep. The hosts were friendly, and the location is very central, 2 or 3 minutes walking to the Old City.

Good location and very friendly staff, nice view too.
not very well insulated from noise, you could hear noises from the street at night and early in the morning you could hear the guests and cleaning + very soft bed

The location was perfect!
Our room was teeny tiny. Barely enough room to stand. Thankfully we packed in carry ones or there wouldn't have been room for a larger suitcase. We were in room 9, friends had room 5 that was slightly larger for the same price. I'd ask for that room if possible. Breakfast was normal for France.

loved the view from the terrace where you could sit and have a picnic or a drink.
