About this house rental

My Retreat Home is a perfect vacation home for those wanting convenience to all that coastal Maine has to offer! Newly renovated in the "Modern Farmhouse" Style, this 900 sq. ft. home features large well- appointed rooms, dedicated paved parking, air conditioning, washer/dryer, patio furniture, gas grill, WIFI, You-Tube TV subscription, 2 smart-T.V.'s and so much more. The home has one queen bed and is suitable for 2 adults. Many pantry supplies have been provided for our guest's convenience. There are blackout curtains in the bedroom to help you get a good night's sleep on the comfy mattress.

Conveniently located to local lakes and the ocean, the home is just 30 minutes from Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point and Bar Harbor. Close by, you will enjoy bike and hiking trails, kayaking, art festivals, fishing, golfing, beaches, restaurants, concerts and shopping.

Owner maintains an office connected to the home which is accessed through a separate entrance. The office and Retreat Home is soundproofed and separated by 3 walls so noise is not an issue.

We spent 3 nights and would highly recommend this property. The home was spotless! Also had anything we might need while cooking, relaxing or doing laundry. Outdoor deck had comfy chairs to sit and read. Approximately 20 miles from Acadia, stores and restaurants nearby. Don’t look any further, you will love it.

Very clean and well stocked. Everything you could need! The house is about 40 minutes from Bar Harbour. It was nice to get away from the crowds and traffic when we returned to the house in the evenings. Kelly was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you Kelly.

Thank you, Kelley, for your hospitality! The cottage is great! Very quiet and comfortable, clean and spacious, and cozy at the same time. The kitchen is very well equipped for stay at home dinner, and everything one needs to pack a good snack for a day's hike. The location is very convenient as well, within easy drive to all the wonderful destinations. We loved staying here for the second year in a row and will love to come back again. Very Nice owner. Kelley was very accommodating. Everything was neat as a pin, and very clean. Well furnished and spacious. Nice sitting area outside and owner was thoughtful enough to provide a motion light at the entryway when arriving at night. Also was thoughtful enough to have a canopy over the door entryway in case it’s raining so that you’re not fumbling with keys or codes - and getting soaking wet in doing so. Large TV and plenty of drawer and closet space. Only drawback is that this property is on the west side of Ellsworth about 5 miles out. If you’re going to Bar Harbor, it’s a 48 minute drive each way. I should have picked up on that before booking. My error.

My husband and I stayed really enjoyed this property. It is on a small private lane just off the main road into Ellsworth. It was very clean, decorated nicely and had very comfortable furniture! We both agreed that it was one of the best that we have stayed in, and we travel a fair amount. If we are in the area in the future, we would definitely book again!

I’ll admit I’m a bit of a germaphobe when it comes to rentals/hotels but this place put me at ease! It was spectacularly clean, spacious rooms with modern, minimal design. We only stayed for 3 nights, however, the home was well stocked and even an Acadia park pass was provided. It was about a 40 minute drive into Bar Harbor or Acadia and a nice respite from all the crowds. Kelley was the perfect hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

You won’t find a rental house cleaner and better stocked with all you could need than Kelly’s house! We had the best time visiting Acadia and the surrounding area. The location was convenient without being in the middle of the crowds. We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years and this was by far the best!

We had a great stay here in Ellsworth. The home was well decorated, modern, and as listed. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need and plenty of toiletries. The location was great and only a 30-40 min drive to Acadia. Kelley was quick to respond and great at communicating with us. We did notice quite a few bugs in the bedroom upon our arrival which we understand we’re in a wooded area, but didn’t expect to encounter so many that got in within the house itself so this was the only downside of our stay.

This was our first trip to Maine. Ellsworth was a great location for us! It was close to the coast and the mountains. We brought our Harley and did a great deal of riding. Kelley and Gary are the perfect hosts with the perfect property! We loved it all!!

Very amazing getaway in the woods, located not too far from Acadia national park. Amazing fall foliage and natural beauty everywhere you look, even just looking out the properties windows. Amazing service, very clean, there were towels, pots, pans, dishes, salt, pepper, it had all of the little things that make a place truly perfect.

This is such a nice place. Everything about it was clean, cozy, modern, and comfy. The ability to do laundry was definitely a plus. Everything in the kitchen was super clean and organized. The bed, sheets, and pillows were so comfortable. I was also thrilled there was a fan in there as I sleep better with some sort of white noise like that. The communication with the owner was great and she was super nice and responsive. I don't think I have anything bad to say about it. It is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia, but we liked having a place with no one else nearby. We had no problem driving and it was worth it to come back to such a nice place.

My husband and I enjoyed this lovely property so much! It was beautifully decorated, so neat and clean and had everything we needed for our 3 days visiting the area. Convenient to get to Acadia from here, and we loved the privacy and quiet location away from all the other tourists. The hospitality and communication from the host was excellent! It was perfect. Exactly as described and photographed, and with hundreds of other personal touches you can't see, like the first aid kit. The spot in front of the window was our happy place for reading and relaxing with coffee in the morning or a drink at the end of the day. It was close enough to Acadia to make exploring that gem really easy, but far enough away that crowds weren't an issue, and exploring other nearby parts of the state was easy. Kelley has been lovely to work with, and we just can't say enough good things about our experience there.

The house is truly a retreat! The layout is thoughtful, super functional and tastefully decorated... there is the perfect reading chair in the living room in front of a window where I spent early morning hours enjoying coffee and reading. The bedroom has dressers, a deep closet, cozy bedding and for those who enjoy it, a Television that is out of the way and not intrusive to those who don't! The kitchen was the best I've experienced while traveling. We cook and absolutely everything I could want was there... I didn't need to bring my own knives (if you cook, you'll understand!). We spent our days exploring Acadia National Park and coming home to this retreat was perfect for us - Thank you so much to our hosts, we will be back!

Great rental, great communication, great setup. You should book this one without fear, full stop. The only caveat - couple of areas (front door and kitchen) don't have window coverings, and while the area is semi-private, you may want to bring along some trash bags and command strips to cover things up completely depending on your comfort level. We would definitely book this one again the next time we're in the area!

The first thing we said when we walked in was "Wow, what a cute house!" The home comes clean and fully stocked with whatever you might need. You're just far enough to avoid the chaos during peak season but close enough for a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National. The hosts Kelley and Greg are great, provide everything you need and communicate great from booking all the way through checkout. I would highly recommend this home for a couple's getaway and we hope to return in the years to come!

There was this amazing gift basket on the table when we got in. And the inside was so spacious, clean and wonderfully decorated. It was such a fantastic choice for our honeymoon.

The apartment is spacious and well furnished and would be good for an extended stay as well as for a short visit. There is plenty of space, and the kitchen is supplied with almost everything one needs to prepare meals. It is ideal for those who do not want to visit restaurants every night That said, it is only five minutes from Ellsworth, which is a good-size town with a number of places to dine. Acadia National Park is a just down the road and easy to get to.
