This is a very nice historic home in the historic area of Rockport, MA. Some of the homes in the area date back to the early 1700’s. If you can’t appreciate the history of this area you may want to consider something else. We loved it! Host was very responsive and we enjoyed the home. Reminded my wife and I of our grandparents home.

Nice quiet location for a summer week.

The property had everything we required for our stay. The only quirk, which is mentioned in the property description is the on street parking (no driveway). The climb from street level would be an issue for someone with mobility issues.
A short walk from Windhover, Halibut Point St Pk, and the Lobster Pool restaurant, where parking is always tight.

I grew up in Rockport and love going home each year. This house was very comfortable for my four person family. My girls shared a room. The porch was wonderful for morning coffee and dinner. It had a cool breeze everyday. It is easy to walk from there to Halibut state park. Downtown Rockport is lovely. The house had 2 different coffee makers. They also had a large washer and drier which made holiday laundry a breeze. The owners were very helpful. All in all it was a great stay. Thanks, Jennie and the Trumpolds

Had a great stay in Rockport! The house is close to many different attractions, highly recommend the Beauport Sleeper-McCann house and Castle Hill on Crane Estate. The house was clean and had everything we needed, quiet too, although we pretty much only slept here because there was so much to do and see!! Grateful for the very comfy beds after a day exploring!

We enjoyed a long weekend here. Grateful for a cozy home that welcomed us and our lab. Everyone loved sitting on the deck and taking hikes into the nearby parks.
Would have appreciated fans during the unusually warm days and nights but otherwise, it was wonderful.

The house was an ideal model of Rockport living, set on a granite hillside. The owner provided easy access to the house and was available to answer any questions (we had none, everything was perfect when we arrived). It was clean and had ample supply of towels, toiletries, bedding, etc. Anyone interested in the Massachusetts coastline, especially the Gloucester/Rockport area, I enthusiastically recommend staying here!

Our small group of family enjoyed our time in this cozy house. Lots of space for the dog outside. Despite being on a main road, the house itself is very private and quiet as it is elevated on a hill above the road. We found the proximity to halibut point State Park to be a bonus. There were a few things that were amiss when we arrived, but were very quickly mitigated by the owner. Really appreciated the prompt and complete response.

Has everything you need. Close proximity to many places.

House is located in a beautiful area. Scenery is amazing. Was not far from the local towns and was very easy to get to the local restaurants and sites.

I spent my first eighteen years spending summers on Long Beach in Rockport. This was the first time in our thirty years that I have been back. It was an enjoyable trip!
4.7
Relaxing stay with my small dog at this vintage house that nevertheless had all the modern amenities and was clean and comfy, including the bed. Works well if you have a car. Bonus was the large flock of wild turkeys that nonchalantly walked right by me as I stood on the front porch!
4.7
Quiet spot for us and our dog, good base for lovely walks in Halibut Cove State Park, very easy to get to Rockport and Gloucester
4.7
Great location to easily get to everything you might need. The listing says 3 bedrooms but it is only 2. The washer was out of commission and the grill had no propane, the lawn care was needed but did get done while we were there on our 2nd day. There didn't seem to be a fire pit to use. All were minor set backs. Our pup enjoyed the yard and it was quiet even though it is on a busy road. Everything inside was comfortable and clean.

Property was as listed. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The hosts were very responsive to our needs.

For those who want the experience of staying in a true Rockport house this is it. It is not a fancy abb with faux marble and latte maker. This is a home. Clean and comfortable

We were there to explore Cape Ann and this cottage was close to several beaches and a state park

We stayed at this property for 3 nights for a family reunion. While not huge, the house is well equipped and more than adequate for two couples. The neighborhood is very nice and the house is in a great location. The house was very quiet at night. There is a nearby state park that is within walking distance and a great place to visit (interesting sites and a nice beach). The only small negative was that it was difficult to reach the owners while we were there, although they were very responsive before we arrived. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property and we would absolutely stay here again.

This is an older style home right next to Halibut Point State Park. It was very clean, comfortable, and a quiet road to be on. The property owners listened to all previous reviews and responded amazingly. The temperature was in the 80’s and 90’s and the air conditioner in the bedroom was perfect for a great night sleep. Comfortable beds, clean linens, all of the dishes and amenities that you could expect or need were provided. Quality care for their guests is obvious once you enter this home.

Had a lovely few days at Pigeon Cove. The home was scrupulously clean and very cozy. Despite being on a well-traveled road, it was surprisingly quiet. Early morning breakfast on the front porch was delightful. The location is very convenient -- easy to get to the state park and local beach, as well as stores.
4.7
Had a good stay. No problems. House had everything I needed, cable TV, Wi-Fi, good updated shower. Comfortable queen beds. Great communication with host. I would stay here again.
4.7
Clean and comfortable place with easy access to many locations. The owners were incredibly responsive about any questions. I was staying there with my 80YO mother and 85YO aunt and they had zero trouble navigating the stairs.
As others noted, the shower water pressure is fantastic!
I would highly recommend!

Great place to stay. Owners thought about everything you may need while away from home. I would recommend this property.

My golden retriever and I had a wonderful stay. It was off season, so the area was mellow and we enjoyed lots of walks by the sea especially at Halibut Point State Park. It was beautiful weather, and a just right getaway. The house was also just right for us both. Thank you!

From the original glass door knobs to the 1960's wall phone to the old-fashioned front porch, this old house was a real treat. Craig and Sheila thought of everything (spare toothbrushes, plenty of TP, the manuals to every piece of equipment in the house, 2 types of coffee-makers, flashlights, etc..)! And when area had power outage, they quickly contacted us to make sure we were all good. Would not hesitate to recommend this place for any kind of lengthy stay. (Even the neighbors jogging by in the early mornings were friendly!) My only caution would be to anyone with a mobility issue; the 1st set of stairs leading up to the front of the house stairs are original stone steps and can be a bit difficult on old knees! Otherwise, this place is a real treasure find.

Cottage met our needs with a good location with comfortable beds and great water pressure from the shower.

On the edge of a lovely little state park with great walking trails and ocean views, this modest home has all the basics you need for a get-away and a surprisingly super-comfortable bed.

I had such a lovely long weekend at this property. I spent four days here with my husband and elderly dog, and I was thrilled to find such a great property that would allow my dog to say onsite with us.
It's an older home, but all the important features were updated - namely the furniture and bathroom (with a fabulous new roomy stand-up shower). The owner kindly supplied travel-sized toiletries, along with detergent for the washer and plenty of paper towels/toilet paper. The kitchen had everything you could want - stove with range, microwave, fridge, utensils and dishware. And the bed in the front bedroom seemed new and was soft but VERY comfortable - I have a bad back and slept quite well.
I loved the deep front porch with comfy furniture to read on. And the yard was just perfect for my dog - although not fenced, it was enclosed by a low stone wall to discourage any running off.
There was a new washer and dryer in the basement - we didn't end up using it but it was great to know it was there, especially traveling with a senior dog! And there was a new looking propane grill out back for those who like to cook on vacation (not my thing ;) )
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to book again.

This is a classic Rockport bungalow with a 50s feel and has a nice layout on one floor. The kitchen is nicely stocked with a variety of pans and knives (even sharp ones!), perfect for quick meals for my family of 4. The outdoor steps are indeed steep, but my teens didn't bat an eye bounding up and down. The location is ideal: a short walk to Halibut Point to walk around a quarry or sunbathe on giant rocks off the ocean, or take a short drive to local beaches. The reservation system for Gloucester beaches makes it easier to access them without sitting in long lines. The hidden bonus was easy access to Windhover Performing arts center, literally around the corner from the house. We caught a few performances, including Macbeth and some modern dance in their sweet outdoor theater. Craig and Sheila were very responsive to messages. Thank you for sharing your house.

The house was very cute and clean and a great base to explore. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the home and there were plenty of towels and extra linens. This house is within a 5 minute walk to the AMAZING Halibut Point State Park.

Enjoyed our stay in Pigeon Cove
The house was cute and cozy. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch, overlooking the street. The location was great - just a short drive to all of the things we wanted to do - beach, dining, Plum Cove for sunset watching. The beds were fairly comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the wifi signal was strong.
The only thing that would have made our stay a bit more comfortable would have been air conditioning. We happened to pick the one weekend of the summer with an intense heat wave - 95 degrees and HUMID. There were plenty of fans so we made it work.
