I loved the cabins!! Very cute and romantic! On the other hand you find living things inside :p The pools were amazing, always the best way to end the day!
I would like the bar to be a bit more alive, a bit of music so you can have a drink at night! Maybe because our visit was a bit off-season (mid May)

The room/cabin was extremely comfortable and spacious. The view of the volcano right in the front is a nice add when you wake up in the morning. There are several thermal water pools on the property, perfect for when you come back strolling the national parks.
The food/breakfast options are not at the level of the place. They have a very tiny kitchen. We decided to go to the restaurant just near the place and have food there .

Great set of pools, and the included breakfast was nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Very hard to find in the dark!

Location, staff, seemed a place locals went, not a gilded cage for Yankees. Great view if the volcano.
There was a smell of mold; no windows in the 400 sq foot cabana made of grass; hot springs were fresh geothermally heated water, but rather tepid. Super friendly staff and good value.

Very cosy stay near the center. And you can use the termales more or less for your own (when we were there only 5 people were at the hole place:))

The location of this property is fantastic, we had a car so the 5 minute drive into La Fortuna was easy and other attractions were within about 20 minutes drive such as the Hanging Bridges and Zip Lines. The hot springs being on site was amazing as was the view of the volcano, we were even lucky enough to have a full view of the top of it (it’s covered by clouds most days of the year). Parking is safe and secure, there is a very fun water slide on the swimming pool which was hours of fun for us and we loved all of the fairy lights around the property. Breakfast was really good, the Ranchos eggs were a fave. Rooms were cleaned everyday to a very good standard! We liked that it wasn’t rammed busy as there are only a handful of cabins to stay in so it felt like we were there alone a lot. The people we came across working there were friendly and helped us where they could with what we needed
Outside of the breakfast the food choices aren’t fantastic which was fine for us as we could drive to La Fortuna and there are also a lot of supermacardos within a few minutes drive. The cabins are very quaint though small, however they do have lots of surface space to put things which was handy. They do however get damp inside due to the area being quite humid and so the bed and our clothes in the case etc always felt a tad damp. Our safe didn’t work and neither did our friends who were staying in another cabin and even though we did tell the person who had checked us in: they said they weren’t able to fix it which wasn’t ideal. Our shower also wasn’t working properly and we only had very cold water, our friends did work properly though and they said it got to a nice temperature so must have been a glitch with ours. The towels we were given were bleach stained and felt quite hard and old but did the trick if you’re not fussy about that. If you don’t like bugs, geckos etc this may not be the place for you as the cabins don’t have solid sides so creepy crawlies can find their way in. We had a mosquito net and didn’t get bit once while here. We really liked that you can hear all of the noises of nature during the night though if you’re a light sleeper that may affect things. The rooms did have table and chairs on the porch area though they were high bar chairs and very uncomfortable, it would have been nice to have something for comfy to sit outside on. Also we booked at the same time as our friends staying and for some reason our room was £50 more for exactly the same accommodation, no idea why. I don’t think this properly is overly good quality for money given that we paid over £200 for 2 nights, I would have felt more comfortable with value for money if it was more like £60 a night. We did have a lovely time here though it may not be for everyone’s tastes

The thermal pools are nice and relaxing the view is amazing and the staff is incredible! For a majority of the time I would have a pool to myself. The location is amazing as well
They could do a better job of screening the cabins. Bugs should be expected. The price I felt was a tad high

Maybe it’s the time of the year, but we almost had the hot springs to only ourselves. There were not many people. Staff were very friendly. Location was great if you have a car. The bungalow was very clean.

I am a moskito magnet, so I was a wondering if I would be in trouble because we stayed at the bungalow, but had a couple of perfect night sleeps no moskito issues at all

We loved that this place offered a different kinda stay. I'd describe Termales Del Arenal as Glamping. The hut was very clean and the shower hot. The best thing was that we basically had the thermal pools to ourselves so it felt very private. We stayed at another hotel nearby the night before and the pools were very busy so we felt very chilled here. Cocktails are also delicious!

This is a great family owned business. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and includes a wonderful view of the volcano. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and so relaxing with the hot spring pools and hammocks. Along with their delicious sangria, every evening was so wonderfully relaxing!
The huts, although quite charming, are not well sealed and bugs get in. They are quite small inside. Also, a hair dryer would have been nice!

Beautiful grounds. Quiet.
Bungalows are very small, dark…no hooks to hang anything. However beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Had some problems getting hot water in the shower but staff was responsive.

Price paid for stay and access to the grounds was excellent! Loved the A frame cabin, very cool. Pools were good, could be cleaned more. Food at the property was fresh, delicious and very cheap. Wifi was excellent. A bit far from town - about an hour's walk.
Cleanliness of pools

The hot springs were fantastic. There were tons of options so other guests could spread out and we rarely ran into anyone else. The staff were friendly and helpful and we loved the pancake breakfast. The location was a short distance from town via car. The bungalows were cute and spacious.
Being in a bungalow, it was a little damp from the rain of La Fortuna, but that wasn’t really within their control. The lighting in the bungalows was a bit dim, but it wasn’t too bad!
