It was perfect for our family of four. A special highlight was the deck. Loved it!

Stayed here for a conference at Puget Sound University. It was a good location, within walking distance. The unit is very small and very stuffy. Only one bedroom has air conditioning and you have to use it if it's hot because you cannot open the window. It is fine if you don't want to spend any time actually at the apartment.

Great place to stay for visit with kid in college at U Puget Sound! We were in unit A, the upstairs. Ability to climb stairs is a must.

We are very pleased with The Pine House. It was everything that had been advertised. We could walk for food and the water front was very close. Highly recommend!

This place is conveniently located near some good restaurants and the Ruston Way Waterfront.
We arrived around 2 in the morning and having the code to get in made it easy. This older house has been totally updated and very well done.
It did lack an iron and ironing board and only had 2 wash clothes for 3 guests.
Suggestions:
Hooks for clothing or towels on bathroom and/or closet doors.
Mirrors in the bedrooms.

First, the communication with the owners was phenomenal. Our stay was a bit hectic at times and they were able to accommodate us. Over the top service and I honestly think this location was the best I’ve ever stayed at. Clean, organized, with all the amenities we needed were readily available. We were super close to the Tacoma Dome, Safeway, Walmart, and a few really good restaurants. I think one thing to note was the ice trays. I think the ice tasted chemical-like. We washed the trays and put filtered water in but still tasted funny, but that could be just my taste buds. Anyways. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

We live in Tacoma and booked this space for our family. This property has potential to be a nice stay, but we faced issues which created an overall frustrating experience.
The unit was listed as a 2 bathroom which we specifically filtered for to accommodate family members that were going to be using the space. But when we arrived, we saw it had only 1 bathroom. When I pointed this out, the owner was dismissive, blamed VRBO, edited the listing for future clients, and offered no accountability regarding our experience and expectations.
Additionally, we arrived and the place was not cleaned from the last client (trash, dirty towels, unmade bed etc). The owner mitigated the issue, but we needed to rearrange our plans for the evening. We were issued a small credit for the inconvenience (less than the cleaning fee). I don't book rentals often (maybe 3 per year) and this is actually the second time in 6 months I have arrived to a property that wasn't cleaned between stays. If VRBO owners are going to charge a cleaning fee, they should be confirming property cleanliness. We also got locked out of the house due to the keypad batteries being dead which required more problem solving and phone calls to the owner.
As far as the neighborhood goes- it’s a great location, blocks from 6th Ave which we love. The place is cute and comfortable, but I would not recommend due to management.

This was the perfect size and location for a weekend stay near University of Puget Sound. There are so many cafés and local venues within walking distance and it's less than a half-hour from Seattle.
The house was spotless and has all the necessities for a small group.

Just like the pictures! Very clean and everything is brand new. Bedrooms are on the smaller side but the beds were very comfortable! Walking distance to restaurants and bars. If our travels every bring us back to Tacoma, we would stay again!
