Perfect holidays for those who seek to relax and learn about "real English life"
We had a perfect time in Arlingham. A warm and cozy room, Continental breakfast at no extra cost. Very friendly staff and nice and hospitable people in the village. Pretty good place for having long walks and suitable for exploring Gloucester, Bristol, the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. Landlord Mark, who is also the chef, is truliy a magician in his kitchen. Perfect dinners, really imaginative and skillfully served. We will be glad to come back again in the future.

Ok for a couple of nights with a dog.
comfy bed, good parking , continental breakfast, takes dogs, separate entrance to pub. some nice local walks , particularly nice by The Old Passage Inn along the river Severn.
we found shards of glass in the bed, the toilet was not clean on arrival and half a toilet roll, no spare and no spare left on day two, we had to ask for one. Bin small and not emptied when breakfast was replenished. Bed really comfortable. pub expensive, bottle of cider £6 , pub down the road £3, food expensive and not a huge choice but nice. Try the Old Passage a mile down the road. Not enough care taken in room prep.
